Gwen looked up at the turrets and towers of Hogwarts, wishing they could actually go inside. Belle's school was nothing less than a prison.

"Oh Professor Lainey," Gwen said with a smile in her voice. "You're a rebel."

Amanda took the notes she made and flipped the piece of parchment over and started drawing Hogwarts, she wasn't the best artist ever, but she tried hard to make it somewhat resemble the subject of her drawing.

Grinning, Issy looked up at the Professor. These drawing assignments were great. Humming happily, she did just as she was told. Now she had a reason to use her pretty colored inks! Pulling out a satchel, she took out numerous inks - they'd cost a lot, but this was worth it. An array of rainbows sat on her rock.

"Here, you guys can use them, too," she told her friends, unscrewing a seldom used black one to set to work. "Time to immortalize Hogwarts. We won't go down without a fight!"

Alas, her energy was building again...

Lola's face was void of emotion, too stunned and and too belligirent for this piece of Merlin's sewer and his sidekick Miss Murder-All-Joy. Solemly, her coffee eyes bubbled at the castle, chest aching for the plush Slytherin bed that was collecting a fine layer of dust! Poor bed! No silk sheets and no late-night tofu ice cream eating Lola to soothe it! No contemporary Indian music mixed just for her playing from her tiny record player. She'd never forgive these horrid people! There would be a screenplay to showcase their contempt for Hogwarts! Mark Lola's words!

MARK 'EM!

"You've no idea," Lola replied despondently, feeling more Kaytee's senior for her hindsight of Hogwarts. "It was Camelot compared to this frou frou."

Pointedly turning away, to busy herself with thoughts, she drew her legs up around her. The way her lungs took air seemed different. Lola felt changed. Like the woman on the verge...of something.

Raw. Hard-core. She felt like purposely frizzing her hair and painting her face.

Taking out the parchment that she had been doodling on before, she shook her head. She couldn't use this one. It already had a large rip on the side from being stuffed so unceremoniously into her bag. Whoops. Digging into her bag, she pulled out another roll of parchment. Draw Hogwarts. This was going to be fun!

Finding her green ink bottle, she opened it up, ready to dip her quill into. "AHHH!" She cried, than immediately clasped her hand over her mouth. Way to cause a scene Serena. The girl thought to herself as she stared horrifed into her ink holder. There was NO MORE green ink!!! How was she supposed to draw Hogwarts?!

Drawing? That was not Katrina's best thing. But since she didn't have a choice, she turned her parchment over, managed to find a quill and ink in the mess that made up her bag, and started drawing the building in front of her.
Let's see, she thought, chewing the back of her quill. She started drawing, starting with the shape of the castle, and started drawing the features. Two minutes later, she stared in disgust at the drawing and crumpled up the paper. Time to do it over.

Tommy pulled out her parchement with a huge smile on her face. She was excited to do this. She turned over her notes and pulled out her wand. She couldn't draw to save her life. She used her wand to draw the best picture she could. She put her passion and her love for Hogwarts into it.

"Is this good Professor?" She asked holding up her picture

Rapunzel stopped staring up at Hogwarts and instead picked out a relatively clean boulder to sit on.

Doodling Hogwarts, eh? She was no sketch artist but she could work with this...maybe.

Punz whipped out her color-changing quill and a large scroll of parchment, ready to get down to business. Now this was a real class.

Alexis grinned drawing! The awesome sweet, cool Hogwarts! Hogwarties Hogwarts. As the 5th year began to draw she realized...she couldn't. OH well. Picking up her drawing she walked over to Lainey. "Miss is this good?" She asked showing the picture.

Steelsheen took out her parchment, deperately trying to fight the tears threatening to blur her version. Rubbing her eyes hasitly with the back of her hand, she begins to make an outline of the castle. Even if I coundt get everything down on paper, I'm gonna try to make sure I burn this image into my memory she thought as she looked at Hogwarts, blinking very little.

Gwen's face fell slightly. Oh no. I can't draw!

With a sigh, she turned over her parchment and grabbed a quill.

"Ooh," she breathed as she surveyed the array of colors on the rock.

"Could I use them too?" she asked the Ravenclaw girl.

Listening to the professors instructions Crystal started to draw hogwarts.

Ari grinned as she heard Lainey say they were going to draw Hogwarts. Giggling slightly, she took out her doodle filled parchment and turned it over, snapping her fingers before picking up her quill. "Wow you have an amazing set of ink Issy." she said glancing at the different colors.

Dipping her quill into her black ink, which was seriously running low she chuckled, "I almost feel like singing the school song ... almost." she said almost laughing at the look she was no doubt getting as she began the outline of the school.

"Of course," she chirped with a nervous chuckle. Sticking one finger in one ear, she shook it gently. Lousy hearing.

It took her a while to decide on a rock, choosing the one with less moss, she flinched even as she tried to wipe off whatever dirt was on it, making faces as she worked. Finally she sat down gently, distressed by the fact she was having so much contact with nature.

Soon after, Daphne had begun to draw but before she could finish sketching the outline of her castle in pencil someone had handed in a complicated painting of Hogwarts.

"Is that oil paints or watercolors?" She whispered to herself, quite envious of the fellow student's quick and handy skills.

Kaytee quickly turned over her parchment and drew a very rough sketch of Hogwarts. She giggled when she was finished. "Here's what I have, Professor."

Sabrina sighed, drawing was not her best point, but she'd do anything to capture this beautiful castle that, had she been a year older, she would've had a chance to live in. She stuck her tongue out as she started to draw and finally finished.

"Here you go Professor," she said holding out her parchment. She looked around at everyone else's and saw that there were some much better ones then hers.

Since Astrid had never actually been inside of Hogwarts she would just have to draw what she saw in front of her. She studied the figure behind the gates for a long while before she started her picture. When she was finished, she held it up for the Professor to see.

"Is this okay Professor?" she asked. "or should I have used more colors?"

Melly couldn't do anything but stare. Stare at that gorgeous castle that was ahead of her. It was so beautiful! Even more than what she had dreamed it to be and it was clear that the books she had read about it clearly did it no justice. The towers, the size of it, everything made her feel as if she was staring at a castle from a fairytale and she knew that the inside would make her see the exact same thing. There she'd be able to dream. There she'd be alive and herself. There was where she was ought to be.

"Can we go in?" She whispered, loud enough for anyone to hear.

She wanted to get in or at least get closer to that paradise. She had been living to find such a place, of that she was certain. And it was so unfair that after finding it she was granted no access to it.

"GoodNESS, Tommy!" Lainey gaped. "Did you draw that all just now? It's beautiful! It's absolutely stunning! Bravo, well done, and great Merlin!"



Lainey laughed out loud. "Now THAT is Hogwarts as I see it, Alexis. Well done! I love. If I didn't have an History Gallery, I'd hang it in my office."

Lainey picked up a stick and drew her name in the dirt. "I'll make everyone a copy of the lesson from today. Just so you have it. Or if you need something to smart a small fire in your Common Room with," Lainey laughed.

"I think I see my old office in this one!" Lainey pointed it out. "Love it, Kaytee! Love it!"

Lainey laughed and ran her fingers over the little lines. "Oh Sabrina! It's gorgeous! Let's put it on a t-shirt and wear it!"

"It is... amazing, Astrid! I love it! I'd kiss it if I weren't afraid of ruining it!"


OOC: The pictures will be apart of the Homework assignment. So, if you finish it during class - great! Post it up! If you want to take some time on it and submit it later for homework - great! If you want to find pics online and post them - also great (though less points will be rewarded)! And, if you want to just RP your character drawing and not post any pics - that's great too.

"Certainly!" Issy chriped as she happily worked on the castle. And it was hard. The castle had so much going on, she had to choose what she wanted to draw and what to leave out.

Happily, she drew a long tentacle reaching out of the lake in the background. Hehehe.

"It was an early birthday gift," Issy explained to her friend. "Fredreich asked Daddy to get them for me - I guess he was hoping I'd be able to use the pretty colors when writing home but... with the owlry closed, I suppose I ought to do something with them, right?"

By far, it wasn't amazing; Issy was a doodler, not a sketcher, but she was rather proud of it.

"I drew it at night," she said. "That's why so many lights are on. Because at Hogwarts, no one sleeps and we all have fun and there's lots and lots of love."

Which explained the floating hearts...

Giggling, the girl held it up for her friends to see.

Daphne halted once more in her drawing to peek at other works. Small mouth forming an o she glanced at her own drawing. To be honest, her drawing was starting to look more and more like a prison than Hogwarts.

"This is why I study," she muttered. "I obviously cannot count on my drawing skills to earn me a living."

Gwen put down her quill and held up her drawing shyly.

"I finished."

Cassandra held up her parchment... she wasn't really very good...

Kaika liked to draw occasionally, and felt completely inspired when Prof. Lainey told them to draw Hogwarts.

She did her best, and when it was done, she showed it to the Professor, "It's okay like this?" she asked, unsure if there was something special the Professor wanted to be drawn.

Drawing..
Hum.. she could do that, she actually liked to draw.. only that.. she had never draw a castle.
Oh well, there was a fist time for everything.

With her white quill on her hand, Ellie started drawing the castle.. it was going to take a while for her to finish it.. since she liked to do things those kind of thins well.
She kept moving her eyes from the castle to the parchment.
Not bad.. but its not done yet.
