Focusing on getting a tight hold on the broom handle was the only thing Daphne could manage at the moment. Falling to her painful and sudden death wasn't something that had a high priority for her.

Secretly, she prayed a passing wind didn't work against her and she kicked off slightly, legs wobbling slightly in the air, the demanded seating position both awkward and embarrassing.

Maybe she didn't need the exercise after all.

Allie pushed off the ground, sitting on thr broom sideway's, and stayed there. She was a little wobbly but she managed to keep balance. She hoverd there in the air, waiting for more instructions.

Rian tried again, wanting to ask for help, but not wanting to lose any house points. She got on her broom sideways, adn kicked off the ground gently. She breathed a sigh of relief when she looked down and realized she was hovering. She decided to wait there for instructions.

Sam was not in Slytherin, but it didnt make her jaw stop from dropping. She just took 55 house points from them! Was that possible? This lady sure didnt wake up on the right side of the bed. She was unbelievable! This was so unfair! Sam knew she should be a little happy, because that meant they were 55 more points ahead of Slytherin, but the unfairness was winning the battle in her head. Yeah the girl was alittle inappropriate by sitting on the ground, but she wasnt disturbing anybody.

She knew she should of skipped class. A letter from home didnt not brighten her mood like they usually did. She felt like exploding at the teacher, but she promised her dad she would be good. He knew how much she despised the ministry and he knew she was ready to go off at any moment. If it werent for Benny being in the hospital and the stress both her parents were already experincing, she would of left a long time ago.

Jai rolled her eyes at the point docking, Slytherin would make it up. Grasping the broom firmly she galanced at Tommy thinking how lucky the girl was allowed to skip this stupid class. She knew she should have skipped it.

"Stupid broom." she mumbled and lifted unsteadily off the ground. she felt herself tipping back and she brought her other arm to the top of the broom to steady it. "Professor." she hissed raising her hand like a truely ticked Slytherin. Jai held the broom steady by grasping it with her knees and her right hand.

*Sheeta suddenly lost all consciousness about the broom she was awkwardly sitting on. Fifty - five points had just been taken away from the Slytherins; even though Sheeta had a "in it to win it" attitude about the house points she wasn't incredibly happy with anyone losing so much in one sitting. She gulped and realized she was slipping off of her broom. She adjusted herself and listened to the professor's instructions to try to push off the ground. Of course, Sheeta wasn't sure how so she raised her hand to ask a question of the teacher.*

Her mouth going completely dry as she heard the professor dock so many points from girls she considered her friends, Cela avoided looking at any of them; incase a shared glance turned out to be enough for the professor to take points from her house.

Celandine took a deep breath and willed the broom to raise a little off the ground; keeping it at enough of an angle that she wouldn't immediately slide off. She hoverred with her feet barely off the ground and waited in silence with her head down staring at the gathering piles of snow centimetres away from her feet...apart from the slippery broom this was going quite similarly to her very first flying lesson at home.

Kayla got back on her broom and sat on it the way Madam Wystan had instructed and hovered a few feet in the air. If the broom hadn't been so slippery she would have done a dance at Slytherins loss of points. She wished she could see the Prefect's face right about now.

Cora gaped as fifty five points trickled away from Slytherin. FIFTY FIVE. She looked at Tomasina, and frowned. "Show the Professor some respect." She said, nodding. "You'll just lose more points." She turned her back on the rude Slytherin, and attemped to shift herself on to the broom. Okay. SIDEWAYS? Whaaaa? And the broom was sooooo slippery.

Meh.

After several attempts that resulted in Cora landing on the floor, she managed it. Sooort of. She was wobbling around awfully, but she was sitting on the wretched broom. Sideways. "Professor, I think I've managed it." She said, putting her hand in the air.

"A buildup of earwax is preventing you from understanding the Queen's English," Wystan sneered and tried to take her hand off her broom. It took a little effort, but she managed to do it and pointed in the general direction of Belle's school.

Not waiting for the disrespectful Slytherin girl to leave, she continued with the lesson. "I don't want to hear a single complaint about these slippery brooms and I want all of you to focus on your form. Try to fly in a circle no higher than five feet above the ground - sideways flying is tricky and no one - I repeat NO ONE will master this skill in one lesson."

Wystan tried to hover five feet above the grass, but she kept on slipping. That dolt did something to these brooms. In addition to the slickness, her hands were beginning to stick to the handle.

Kay, so putting her hand in the air had been BIG MISTAKE. Cora wobbled, blinked, and fell off of her broom backwards. ARGH. Why did they have to fly siiiideways? It was so much easier to do it the normal way! Yeesh. She picked herself up from the floor, and brushed the mud off of her robes. Mmkay. Fifteen millionth time lucky?

Slowly, Cora placed her hands on the broom. And stuck there. "Erm. Professor? Are my hands supposed to stick to it?" She asked, nibbling her lip. This was..gross. And weird. And STICKY.

Allie started to fly in a circle, but then fell off her broom, onto the ground. She got back onto her broom slowly, and pushed off. SHe made sure she was no higher than 5 feet, then carefully and slowly she started flying around in a circle.

Looking down to be sure she was five feet above the ground, Gwen leaned back and to the right slowly to fly the broom in a circle. She flew in a pretty good circle. Beaming, she adjusted her hands on the handle--only to find that she couldn't. Her gloves were stuck to the handle. Peering closely, she tried harder to move her hand; after a moment, and with much effort than it should have taken, her hand came off the handle. She held her hand up to her face; there was a fine coating of some slick substance on her glove. Did this wench polish the brooms and not even let them dry??

"No!" Madam Wystan called out and her violet eyes grew wide as she noticed miniature pink and red hearts shoot out from the tail twigs of those students flying around. "That IMBICILE!" she shrieked and heard a snapping sound coming from beneath her.

Astrid thought, well, we better do as we're told. She surely did not want Professor Wystan to come over to where she was. She was going to fly this broom in a circle even if it killed her.

She remounted the broom, side saddle of course, and began to hover just like before. But something was off, something was different. It was the handle. It was sticky and gross. Astrid tried to readjust her hands a bit and started to slip off of the broom. This was going to be much more difficult than she thought.

Cora clambered onto her broom, and somehow...stayed on. But maybe it was because... OMG. Her behind stuck to the handle, and she frowned. Eeeee. She was to be stuck to a broom FOREVER. Not that she really minded, excecpt she was on sideways. Meh. Might as well give it a try whilst she was on.

She began to fly in a circle, wobbling, but unable to fall off. And then WHAAT. Eeeee, hearts were flying everywhere!

Reese got back on the broom sideways and the broom rose in the air.She tried moving her hands,but they were stuck.Oh,great.She tried movign her body.It was stuck,too.She tried balancing herself on the broom so it would tip over and she would be flying unside down.Nope.That didn't work.The broom flipped over and Reese,who was stuck to it,was upside down in the air.Just great.

The snap and the following topsy-turvy motion turned Madam Wystan upside down on her broom for a brief moment. THUD! Her back made contact with the ground and the broken handle was stuck to her hands while the other half of the broom was stuck to the backside of her robes.

Reese heard a thud! and looked at the Professor.She must have fell over to,but Reese...was still upside down...and stuck."Um.Professor Wystan.I need some help."She looked at the Professor...wow,being upside down does make you dizzy after a while.

Just as Ari attempted to fly in a circle she moved her hands to get more comfortable - or tried to as she found them stuck to the broom handle. Great she thought trying in vain to remove them and run from this horrid class, points or no points. She couldn't believe how badly this class was going, seriously hearts pouring out of the back of their brooms? This was not right, she was going to HURT who ever did this. But first, getting her hand freed. Stopping her broom she tried in vain to remove them but ended up upside down." Great!" she muttered, her hair dangling in her face.

Just then she heard a thud, Turning her head to the side, her face growing red she blinked. Madam Wystan was on the ground, broken handle in her still stuck hands. Oh if sh wasn't stuck she'd laugh, but right now she wanted off this broom!

There were little fairies shooting out of the end of her broken broom and Madam Wystan was seething with anger. "The lot of you get out of here - class dismissed!" she screeched and tried to scramble to her feet. It was definitely awkward with a broken broom handle stuck to her hands and the rest of the broom stuck to the backside of her broom.

Her violet eyes were filled with venom as she shot a glance towards the Broomshed that could kill. "Don't ask me for any help - go ask that half-wit jock you all admire!"

She stormed off the pitch in a huff. The tail twigs of the broken broom were now puffing out aubergine smoke to match the woman's anger.

Reese watched as Madam Wystan stormed off the pitch.How was she going to get off the stupid broom.She moved her body back and forth trying to break the broom.Nothing worked.Maybe some help would come soon.This broom would not break.What the heck??105lbs. COULN'T break this broom.Her hair started to cover her face.Great.Now she can't see and ALL her blood was going to her head.How...wonderful.

"Class dismissed? Awesome!" Kaika thought, and she watched as a girl was upside down on her head, well, she knew Wystan wasn't a good professor, she actually wasn't a professor, but to leave the girl upside down on her broom was simply mean....it was soo...Wystan.

Torie breathed a sigh of relief as the ministry Professor dismissed the class. 'At least I won't be wearing a skirt for the Quidditch games.' thought Torie to herself. 'I hope that means I will be allowed to fly properly.' Leaving her broomstick where it was, Torie quickly turned and left the field.

Allie jumped off her broom, and started to walke towards Belle's, after class was dismissed. BUt, when she saw a girl upside down on her broom, she had to help.
"Here let me help you." she said to the Slytherin, turning her broom rightside up.
