She stepped to the head of the table and one of the chairs pulled back by magic for her. "If we had dining companions, it would be their job to pull out our chair and then swing it back in. To seat yourself, you move up flush to the table and sit down. Do not pause or hesitate, simply trust that he will be there and sit. If you hesitate, you disturb the natural rhythm established in his motions and you will be shoved into the table or you will miss the chair completely. Just like in defensive dueling, you have to react immediately and instinctively, and you have to trust your companions." "When you are ready, please move to the table, let the chair pull out, and sit down immediately. I have charmed the chairs to move in as soon as you step flush to the table, so DO NOT HESITATE." |
After finally working out to adjust the hem and the sleeves, Kayla looked at herself again in the mirror. Okay so it wasn't so bad...it was still a dress but it wasn't going to kill her to wear it. She made her way back over to the wall, hoisting the dress up around her waist as she walked. Well she hadn't learnt how to walk in the thing yet. Oh great now they had to go and sit down. She walked over to the table and stood in front of the chair that had just moved for her and promptly sat her bottom down on the chair. She breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't hit the floor. |
Tommy rather liked the idea of dressing up. She walked over to the trunk and dug around till she found a style she liked, and it was the palest shade of pink. A girl could never have too much pink she thought as the pulled the robe over her uniform. She looked over and saw was Des did to her dress. She smirked at her and went and stood against wall. She walked up to the table confidently and stood flush with the table, she didn't look back as she felt the chair swung out and she smoothed down the back of her dress robes and she made her way toward the chair. Her bottom and the chair mad contact as it pushed her up to the table. |

She stood back and admired the way the spell had made a perfect hem on the dress robes. She smiled up at the professor, then patiently awaited the next part of the lesson. Upon hearing Professor Rae's instruction, Anna made way to the charmed table. She approached a chair, allowed it to move away a bit from her, and then she stepped closer to the table. Before she could make her next move, the chair came crashing into the back of her legs, knocking her into it. Her eyes wide, she quickly looked around to make sure no one had seen that. At least it had knocked her into the correct sitting position. |

OOC: I don't want to RP the chairs doing what you're saying they'll do in case that can be considered RPing what I shouldn't be. |

Laylee followed directions and walked towards the table in her dress robe. She elegantly sat down as the chair pulled itself out for her. She ade a slight surprised noise as it moved back towards the table. Laylee gave a weak smile to Professor Rae. "Sorry!" She said. She pushed her curls behind her ears and looked around as other girls sat down at the table. |
Naomi followed the other students in the instruction the teacher gave and walked up to fluch to the table |
"Hi!" Sheeta beamed at the new girl who had approached her. She saw that the girl was Hufflepuff and smiled even more.[/QUOTE] "how do you like the calsses so far?, this is the first one of all my classes that I've attended!:hermy: " |

*Sheeta smiled at her knowledge of larger than her age words.* |
Allie walked over to the tavle, and sat down instatnly when the chair pulled out for her. The chair pulled itself back toward the table. She smiled, that wasnt so bad. |
Jezz walked up to the table, and despite the professors warning, jumped backward when the chair moved. "ACK!" She tripped over her feet and landed on the ground. Her face turned bright red as she stood up and tried it again, this time she sat down instead of freaking out. |
Rhiannon had been thrown by finding out that Professor Rae was supposed to teach them etiquette. One of the reasons she had always looked forward to this class was because she either got to duel, or learned spells that could be used in a duel. But she had decided it would be best to go along with class, instead of fighting like some of the other people had done. Now changed into a set of dress robes in a blue-green color that was almost identical to her eyes, she went back to the wall to wait a couple minutes before following the professor's directions about approaching the table. As the chair pulled itself out once she stepped flush to the table, she hid her surprise and gracefully sat down. If she was going to have to do this, she was going to look good. |
Ari listened intently to professor Rae as she told them about her Auror experiences. "Interesting." she said, grinning despite herself as she perked up. Finally they were going to sit... but wait how...oh dear no no no o no she didn't trust it when magic did something for you. How was she supposed to sit on the chair, it would be easy for the chair to just swish away at the last second, allowing her to land on her behind and cry out. But no she had to try. glaring at the table and chair in front of her, she stuck her chin out, stared directly at a spot on the table and walked with elegance towards the table, tripping over her shoe slightly before slowing down and gracefully sitting down. "Cool." she muttered, glancing over to see if Vannah and Sammy had done it as well. |

Sam, probably being the one of the only ones who didnt go play dress up, walked catiously to the table. She didnt entirely trust that the chair was going to catch her, but she decided to just go for it. She was doing all this mainly for Vannah. If it werent for her positive attitude, she probably would've walked out a long time ago. Holding her breath, she attempted to sit down how Rae instructed. She breathed again when she felt something solid catch her. Looking up at the DADA professor, she asked quietly, "Did I do that right?" |
Melinda took a blue robe. She felt uncomfortable with it, but fixed it quickly. She looked at herself in the mirror. Was this really her? She asked to herself. She fixed the neck and the long of the robe. |

Well. This will be easy enough. Becca had practice with this. Coming from a rather wealthy Muggle family, she had a butler named Vincenzo who would scoot her chair in for her all the time. She took pride in being wealthy and yet not a snotty girl who always had to look pretty and perfect. Without hesitation, she approached the table and very casually sat down, a smirk forming on her face when the chair moved under her perfectly. So far so good. |

Desdemonda nodded as the professor spoke. Thank Merlin the gentlemen were not there for ettiquette lessons as well... knowing her luck, she would have had to sit near Billium. Which would have been a nightmare. She gracefully made her way over to the table, watching the chair pull itself out. She swiftly took a seat, and in the process, almost tripped. Whups. Quickly, she regained her composure and was left sitting at the table, her posture rigid and formal. She'd show the Headmistress she wasn't a hooligan... |
Kat had moved back to the wall to await the next instructions, listening as the headmistress instructed the girls to sit at the table. Moving to take a seat at the table she followed the woman's words to a t, sitting as the chair moved beneath her and relaxing a little at managing to do it right. |

Charmed table? Chairs moving on their own? Widened eyes, Issy stared at her friends, no longer worried about Becca struggling with the dress robes. Blinking, for a moment, she watched as the other girls moved to it, gasping and stifling a giggle as one of the girls got bumped into by a chair. Ag! What if that was her? Wincing, she grabbed Juni and Melly's hands, squeezed them and then glanced over her shoulder at Becca, grinning. "Time to be a laaaaady!" she crooned. With that, she stepped forward, shoulders thrust back, she approached the table. But then she squeaked, squealed and jumped back. As soon as she'd gotten in front of the chair, BOOM! she felt it moving and scuttled away. Ag! It was trying to run her over! Eyes wide, she glanced back at her friends. Were they laughing? Becca appeared to have already seated herself - successfully. Ek! Now Issy had to do it, too! Flushing, she set her face with determination. She would do it this time! Though she wasn't used to anyone pushing in her seat, she did it all the time by herself, she knew she could do it. Again, she approached the chair, the one beside Becca's. Pausing, just beside it, she suddenly slipped in front of it and fell back onto the side, just as it began to push in towards her. Securely seated, she giggled and kicked her feet as the chair pushed her in. "C'mon guys!" she called to her friends. "Your turn!" This class was turning out to be fun. |
Jade smiled at Sheeta and followed her over to the table with the enchanted chairs. Her frown had returned. It was one thing to trust a partnet, but entirely another to trust a charm. Charms rust and fade, some faster than others, and she wasn't certain exactly how quickly this particular charm would take effect. She tried sitting down but hesitated and found herself behind squished between the table and the chair. She exhaled heavily and pushed herself away from the table with both hands. Not to be thwarted, she stood up, waited a few seconds, and then tried it again, this time managing not to injure herself. She smiled and looked over at Sheeta with a triumphant look. |
Jane walked to the table, didn't bother looking behind her, and sat down. This wasn't all that new to her, as she went to a lot of formal events with her mother. She blushes remembering last years Tony Awards, when one of the nominated actors, not knowing her true age, asked her to go out on a date. Talk about awkward! |
