Erikson finished setting up the classroom, making sure that plenty of sunlight was filtering in. The back corner was blocked off and darkened quiet considerably. A sign noted "Beware of Devil's Snare." Various vines and a few ferns filled the classroom. Some moved and twitched, and others just laid there. Some were curled up small trellises and whatnot.

A sign at the front of the classroom read "Herbology Lesson One: Vines and their Raw Use"

He checked over everything twice before opening up the classroom and waiting for the students to trickle in. His hands itched for something to hold, and his left wrist felt unbearably bare. He swore to himself that eventually, when time permitted, he would obtain a new wand.

James nodded at the Professor. He'd encountered the plant. Luckily he wouldn't be needing to cast a solar charm at the stuff anytime soon, either.
"But then again. I wouldn't be surprised if we do." he thought.

Erikson only shook his head at Jason. "Most of you will get three points for your encounter with the Devil's Snare. Of course, the reason why I have had you encounter is it because you will remember this experience. If you come in contact with the Devil's Snare again you will have this memory, and hopefully will also trust in it that relaxing will allow you to escape."

He looked over the class, looking slightly tired, though with the spark of something in his eyes. Hope? Amusement? Expectation? Even he would have said he didn't know. "Let's assign homework, shall we?"

He tapped a blackboard with a knuckle and his handwriting appeared.

1) What is raw use of a plant? How might more mundane vines have a raw use? (5 points)

2) Considering the limitations of the Devil's Snare, in what circumstances would it be the most useful? (5 points)

3) How might the vines you learned about in class be useful in your everyday life? (3 points)

EC: What else could you do with these plants (does not have to be raw use) (3 points)

James looked up at the board as the assignment appeared.
He took out quill and parchment and copied it down before tucking it away into the confines of his bag.

"Sounds simple enough.", he thought.

Cale wrote down the homework on a piece of parchment, then raised his hand. "When is the homework due, professor?" he asked.

Barry noted the homework that was very strange Jason behavior he didn`t leave because he heard Cales question and waited for an answer

"Homework is always due before the next class session unless otherwise stated," he answered as he played a little more with the Devil's Snare. "Class sessions are always announced a week in advance."
