Cassandra turned her wand making the flame higher and hoping her water would boil soon...

Evangeline couldn't help but to blink. Boil water? Eh. She hadn't come to Hogwarts - or Belle's -- to learn how to boil water! Next they were probably going to cook. And Evangeline's cooking skills sucked bit time, so it would be better if she was wrong.

With a sigh, she picked up her wand and pointed to the cauldron. "Aguamenti." The spell caused the cauldron to get filled till its middle and she proceeded then to point her wand to the spot under the cauldron. One charm done, one left. "Incendio." Much to her relief, she didn't set the entire room on fire and a small flame appeared.

Then she waited. Waited for the water to boil and for further instructions.

Tomasina looked around everyone seemed to be bummed about starting out just boiling water. Tommy was a little bummed too, it seemed this entire term was going to be a complete waste of time. She was a sixth year! She knew how to brew a potion, she had been doing it for six flipping years. She let out a frustrated sigh, "Aguamenti." She said as water poured from her wand into her cauldron. "Incendio" She said pointing her wand down below it to get her fire going.

Monica rolled her eyes, she had not come to Hogwarts-erm Belle's to learn how to be Suzy homemaker. "Augmenti." She filled her cauldron with water. "Incendio." She lit the fire, sitting back and waiting for the stupid thing to boil she whispered to Tommy, "I sure miss Professor Branxton."

Once the water was boiling, Cassandra lowered the flame and let it simmer... She wanted to have a potion in there... and not just water... but at least they could have some tea...

She pulled a few bags of Hazelnut tea, "Professor?" she asked. "Can I drop some tea please?"

She snicker at Monica's comment. "At least he didn't try us like stupid babies who didn't know how to properly brew a potion." She whispered back as turned turned her wand to turn up the flame on her cauldron, she was getting annoyed at how long it was taking this water to boil. She wanted to laugh out loud when Cassandra asked if she could brew some tea in her water. Might as well, at least they would be doing something constructive with this water.

Monica sent a wink Cassandra's way, Merlin how she loved her adoptive House.

"Oh, tea would be quite lovely. I hadn't even thought of that. Do you have enough for everyone?" she inquired and then started rooting around in her desk.

"I can use an engorgement charm..." she said of the three tea bags... she had plenty water. "It's a hazelnut blend... it should go well with your cookies." Not that she's eat them... Cassandra didn't eat cookies...

She looked up at the professor. Was she seriously going to let them brew tea in their cauldrons in the middle of a potions class? She poked at her fire with her wand. She wanted to explode. She would rather be with the boys at least they were learning something since they were boys and thus smart enough to be properly taught!

Monica covered her mouth and tried not to laugh, she sent a "Pinch me ." Look to Tommy. "Am I dreaming?" she whispered?

She looked back at Monica, "I wish we were only dreaming," She said. She felt like Professor Lainey. The death of education was happening here at Belle's and it saddened Tomasina. Hogwarts had turned out some of the greatest witches and wizards in the world. Why did they think there was something wrong with that. So they wanted to turn them into idiots that could fly sideways and brew a proper cup or tea.

"Makes me want to protest." Monica muttered out the crner of her mouth.

She nodded at her, "Pick your battles though Monica." she advised her

Monica nodded. "I know, I know." Monica looked forward. Last term had been a nightmare in it's own right and this term was in her opinion shaping up no better. "Excelsior would die if he knew about this." Monica whispered.

*Sheeta was finally getting to do potions in some manner and she got to it to get her water boiling. She set up her beaker to fill it with water.*

"Aquamenti!" Sheeta commanded. And a stream of water came out to fill the beaker.

*Next, she composed herself and made sure she pointed down when trying her newest spell.*

"Incendio!"

*A flame burst from the end of her wand and stayed constant at the end of it. She smiled big and began to use the flame to start boiling the water.*

"Oh, how lovely!" she clapped her hands together and bounced excitedly. "Did you hear that, class? Miss Trelawney is going to share tea with everyone. Such good sharing."

She skipped over and stuck a big gold star right next to the girl's prefect's badge. "Twenty points for kindness and being a super sharer," Professor Melita was positively beaming with pride and joy.

"And since we're having such a great time and you've all been such good girls, I have an extra special treat for you," she addressed the class in a high pitched, screechy voice. She pulled out a large package of graham crackers, a large package of chocolate, and then a huge bag of marshmallows. "Who can guess what the treat is?"

Amelia beamed as Professor Melita awarded them more points. Surprisingly, she was beginning to like yet another Ministry Professor! She nodded eagerly when the Professor told them they would be trying it now. Awesome. These lessons weren't just theory after all.

Pointing her wand into her cauldron, she murmured "aguamenti", watching as the cauldron filled up with water. Next she carefully rolled her sleeves up for the next part and pointed her wand below the cauldron to get the fire going. "Incendio," she said, watching as a flame burst from her wand.

Stowing her wand away for the time being, she sat back and waited for her water to begin boiling. As she was waiting, the seventh year decided to take the Professor up on her offer and she began to sing quietly the following:

'Come my little friends... As we all sing a happy little working song. Merry little voices clear and strong...Come and roll your sleeves up...'

"Smores?" she suggested, grinning as she paused for her singing for a moment to notice the Professor addressing them again.

"Smores?" Allie guessed.

Ari pointed her wand at her cauldron and said "Aquamenti" in a clear voice, watching as it filled with pure water. Next she cast the fire charm, under the cauldron to boil the water. "Incendio." she was watching the fire flick against the cauldron when Miss Prefect began being all nice nice. Sighing it utter defeat as she was awarded 20 points she looked up and shook her head at the offer of tea. "I don't do Hazlenut tea. Do you have any earl grey?" She asked instead.

As she watched the water slowly come to a boil the professor began speaking again. She heard the word smore and perked up, "Oh I love smores, are we gonna sing camp fire songs while we make them?" She asked, bursting with a hint of glee.

Cassandra beemed at her new favorite professor... 20 points! and for kindness! Cassandra! Points for Kindness... She glared at Castior. "Sorry," she said "Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration... tea cannot be produced out of thin air" She said with a smirk. "You can have hot water if you wish... I hear it's a diuretic."

She engorged the teabags and dropped them in her cauldron, then she summoned two ladles. One she used in the tea, the other she transfigured into a mug. Pouring out a mugfull, she handed it to Melita. "Here professor, you have the first mug."

She looked over t Monica, "Just be careful ok." She gave her a smile, she didn't want anything to happen to her. She felt close to Monica since she had fallen head over heels for her younger brother. "How is he doing? Driving those American girls wild?" She laughed.


Tomasina had been snickering with Monica when she heard the Professor award Cassandra 20 points for kindness! Her head snapped up so hard she heard a few cracks. "Ow, ouch!" She screamed as her neck stiffened and she almost went crashing to the floor. the pain was making her eyes water, and Cassandra getting points for kindness was throwing her entire world into turmoil. It was like the devil getting a free pass to a party in heaven or something.

Steelsheen nearly roared with laughter but caught herself in time, clamping her hand over her mouth, the intensity of her laughter seen only by the tears forming around her eyes. Trelawney kind and generous? Sure if you were referring to the Hogwarts Divinations Professor 50 years ago. Steelsheen swallowed her laughter and struggled to keep a straight face as the Professor pinned the gold star on the Prefect. If she hands anybody a lollipop I'm really gonna loose it she thought trying to hide her chuckle by coughing demurely.


"Smores!!!" she exclaimed then suddenly bit her lip. Gosh that was a lot louder than I thought she thought sheepishly. But she loved smores, it was one of her favorite sweets to make.

"Chocolate?" Shumeeta guessed, raising her hand. Well, she liked chocolate. Whatever else this crazy woman was serving, Shumeeta would have. If it matched her standards.

Kayla snorted rather loudly...CassandraTrelawney kind!! The Professor's chocolate had obviously been laced with something, probably Essence of Insanity if she thought the Prefect was kind. And there was no way Kayla was eating anything from the Potions Master.
