"Thank you." Jeni says as she reaches into her bag and takes out a piece of parchment and her quill. "I think I made that. I didn't mean too. That's just what happens." Jenesis' voice faded to a whisper as she finished talking. And she started to write down her thoughts on the paper.

Saylie turned to the Ravenclaw girl she had met in the library, Bell. "Shh!!" She whispered, not understanding why everyone was chatting in class. Ravenclaw could not lose any more points!!

Kaytee returned the sharp look to Tomasina, then turned to the girl who had introduced herself as Tinkerbell. Funny name, she thought to herself.

She gave Tinkerbell an apologetic look, then tried to explain herself by looking at all the people who were getting frustrated with the chit-chatting. She hope she'd understand.

Bell say the apologetic look that the girl gave her and nodded in reply

Thinking of another answer, Liz raises her hand again, "Professor wouldn't all antidotes be useful potions?"

Glancing at the young Gryffindor again, Liz whispers "My name is Liz, by the way. I used to have that problem a lot, and my papa gave me a few tricks that seemed to work. Don't worry, even after you learn to control your magic, it still escapes sometimes."

Anna glanced around, astonished at all the mayhem that arupted in this class. She looked back up to the professor, trying hard to think of something else to say about the topic.

Alexa noticed the immense amount of talking as well as the Shh!ing of students. She looked over at Bell, taking note that she shouldn't talk excessively. After all, she didn't feel like getting a Shh! pushed toward her...this would be the worst time of all. She slid herself slowly over the where the large majority of Ravenclaws were, setting herself next to Bell. She was glad she moved, she had a better view of eveything and she was next to many Ravenclaws, which felt a bit mroe comfortable.

"Oh my. Well, aren't you just so smart. I may have to revise my lesson plans. I suppose Mr. Branxton is a better teacher than we gave him credit for," she smiled. "Well, since you all are so well versed on useful potions I think it's time for homework! Isn't that exciting!" she was practically squealing with excitement as if homework were as exciting as winning an autographed broomstick.

"Now, your assignment will be to pick a potion or aspect of potion brewing and immortalize it in song! Doesn't that sound like fun? And of course I have a song for you first, as an example," she beamed at the students and flicked her wand, sending hearts floating around her as she began to sing a song she made up as she went along, stumbling over the last verse a little.

When Melita finished her song the hearts faded and then she smiled and looked expectantly out over the students, ready for applause. Once it died down (even if she happened to be the only one clapping) she added further instructions for the homework. "Homework will be due one week from today and we will be singing the tunes in class next week," she grinned.

Bell saw a Ravenclaw girl move from her place and sit next to her, she turned and gave her a smile.
Once she heard the professors song she clapped really loud before taking note of her homework in her notebook. She began to think of a song in her head

Heidi looked around at all the commotion. "What in the world" she said to herself. Heidi was used to sitting in the back of the class. Better to see what was going on in front of her than behind her she thought.

Tia took a note of the homework assignment and put her homework diary back in her book bag and thought a song shouldnt be too hard to come up with

Lifting her eyebrow, Liz writes down their homework assignment. "Well that's different," Liz says to herself...

Anna just glanced at the professor in pure amusement, then quickly took notes on the homework. It had surely been a fun class, she had to admit that. Sure, she didn't get any cookies, but from the looks of what happened afterwards, she wasn't sure if she ever wanted to. She may give it a try soon - no one looked like anything had happened. Still, after last term, who knew. Anna also really liked music, so this assignment shouldn't be too hard. As she completed taking her homework notes, Anna suddenly wondered when they were actually going to start brewing.

When the professor had finished her litte song Vannie clapped. She may aswell be polite. Writing down the homework with a smile she began wondering which potion she would chose. This indeed would be a interesting homework

Saylie had her quill poised over the parchment at the mention of homework. But she just blinked stupidly up at the professor, the meaning not really sinking in. "A song? A song about a potion?" She mumbled, still not quite grasping that this was the actual homework. She still felt quite happy about the class and was still munching that second cookie, but something was nagging her. It was something to do with the homework...she just didn't think it was adequate, but shrugged and finally began writing down the homework. Write a song about an aspect of potion brewing or about a potion. She shrugged and stowed the quill and parchment back into her bag, frowning a bit.

Alexa smiled back at Bell and then looked at the professor, listening to the homework. B-b-but...I don't...WHAT?! she thought, almost screaming her thoughts aloud. She couldnt believe that this was the kind of homework being passed out to the students. "That's just weird..." she said to herself. But without any hesistation, she wrote down the homework her small notebook.

Kaika's eyes widened, hearts floating in the air, songs as homework, this was something she wasn't used to, but it was still homework. She did, however, raised an eyebrow, no matter what mistakes Prof. Braxton may have made, he was still a good professor, and they merely studied Potions and their consequences, not Music.

She nodded as the class ended, happily enough, she gather her things and grabbed her backpack, having a bit of a trouble as she stood up, that was the problem with sitting in cushions for a while. "Have a good day, Miss Sophie" she said to the professor, while heading out of the classroom.

After copying her homework, Liz asks the Gryffindor girl if she would like to go for a walk.

Alice scribbled down the homework, still in shock. She was pretty sure bursting into song wasn’t something generally done. She’d do it of course, but it still seemed a little strange. A few rather interesting ideas popped into her head, and she smirked lightly, knowing just what to do. She wondered what Proff- er, Miss Sophie’s reaction would be. She stored the idea away for later.

Tinkerbell, noticing that everyone was leaving, she put her notebook in her baf and stood up. She said bye to her friends and said bye to the professor before leaving

A song! A manic grin exploded onto Lola's face, making her freckles appear as glitter or something sparkly to illuminate her buoyant mood! The future Broadway starlet exclaimed an excited giggle and clapped her hands vigorously at Sophie's recital. Then, she bounced up, nearly upsetting her cushion and softly punched her fist into the air. A ramble followed: "Potions, I once dreaded you and now we stand, hand in hand, in comradery fueled by music," she pronounced, snapping up her supplies, but lingering, no real hurry to leave. She HAD to pay Sophie a visit after class. There was so much life in this corner of Belle. Through the lace and tulle.

"Thank you for the lesson Professor," Sabrina said as she copied down the homework. She got up and walked back to the common room, hoping that the common was going to be full of people trying to figure out a song, because she too was wondering what to write.

After the professor stopped singing and explained the rest of the homework assignment, Rhiannon quickly wrote it down. She really had no idea what she was going to do, but at least she had a little time to come up with something. She wasn't generally good at writing. Drawing was what she was good at. But she figured she could come up with a simple song.

But I can't sing well... Panic flooded Issy's mind as Professor Melita announced that they'd be singing their songs in class. In class! Where everyone could hear them? Surely this was a joke. With panicked, deer-caught-in-headlights wide eyes, Issy looked up at the Professor, mouth gaping in horror.

No. Way.

Write the song, sure. She could do that - she was fantastic at parodies. But to have to get up and sing it? Unconciously, she grabbed Juni's arm and clung with a death tight grip.
