"Hey Via, Astrid, Jeni, Usa," she said smiling at her friends. "Do you know how hard it is to say everyone's name at once without stopping?" She laughed lightly as she took a bite of her cookie. "This is actually quite tasty."

Gwen sat on her cushion, quite bewildered. She looked around at her classmates and housemates, wondering if they were thinking what she was thinking; that this woman was quite mad. She glanced incredulously at Shayna, restraining an eye roll with difficulty.

"Erm, I'm Gwen," she began. "I'm a third year Gryffindor, and I like macadamia nut. The soft kind."

"Mine too." Via added as she chuckled.

As she sat munching her cookie, Emily couldn't help but feel cheerful. This was very possibly the best potions lesson ever. She might have found a new favorite professor. Contentedly, she gazed around the room and listened to the other girls give their own introductions.

Shayna turned towards the source of the drawl reflexively, emerald gaze finding the loud girl. Hehe, darlings? Shayna grinned, amused at the girl's oozing confidence. No surprise there then that she was a Slytherin. Still, she sounded fun, original even. She caught the bright flash of colour beneath her skirt, raising a dark eyebrow in appreciation. She hadn't caught yet then by a professor then? That was always a snazzy thing in Shayna's books.

Glancing at the rest of the girls, Shayna's gaze caught a fellow Gryffindor, one she recognised from the opening feast in the Great Hall at the beginning of term. Gwen. Yeah, the one with the awesome frames. Heh.

Meeting her disapproving look, Shayna shook her head in annoyance, mouthing quickly, 'Can you actually believe this?'

Sapphire took a deep breath and said My name is Sapphire O'Grady im a first year Slytherin and my favourite cookie is white chocolate chip

Sitting next to Willow, Melina couldn't help but feel anxious towards the classroom and the woman who was now their teacher. This was all nothing but too strange for her and she was certain that did not happen just because she was a muggleborn for she could see some uneasiness reflected on the faces of other girls. The last time she had been treated in such a way by teachers was when she was... what? Nine? Or perhaps even at younger age! So of course she felt distressed!

Distressed, worried and.. sad. The presence of cookies in the room reminded her of Allen. Sigh. She had to forget him for now and get focused on getting points for her house since they seemed to be in need of that.

And so, she looked back at the scary teacher and tried to make herself look as normal as ever. "I'm Melina Roscoe, ma'am," She spoke, unwilling to call the woman Miss Sophie or whatever she had asked them to call her. "I'm a first year and I don't know what my favourite cookie is." What did cookies have to do with potions though? Maybe they were going to... poison them?

Crystal took a cushion off the pile and sat down, My name is Crystal DiNozzo, first year Hufflepuff and my favorite cookie, other then this one as its amazingly good is double chocolate chip. She smiled and continued to eat the cookie the teacher had given the class. Do you mind if i get another Miss Sophie?

"Um, Destiny Love Moonlight, Hufflepuff, 1st year, and my favourite kind of cookie, would be.. Chocolate cookie, I guess," Destiny said with a smile.

Heather sat there on the floor for a bit. She was still twitching a bit from all the pink. She also didn't grab a cookie. As everyone went around she spoke up at her turn."My name is Heather Malfoy, seventh year Gryffindor, and my favorite cookie is chocolate chip peanutbutter."

Savannah was actually enjoying this class so far, the Professor wasn't scary like the others she had seen. Maybe abit..kiddish? but not scary at all. Ocean blue eyes scanned over the cute but messy pictures drawn by young ones, listening intentively as she waited for her turn to speak up, then did. "My names Savannah Mae, I'm a fifth year, and my favorite cookie flavor is peanutbutter."

Ana munched on a cookie and watched the class in awe. The teacher seemed nice... but this was potions, it wasn't supposed to be nice.

"Hi, err... I'm Ana-Marie, Ana for short. I'm a fifth year Ravenclaw." She was about to take another bite, then spoke again. "My favourite cookie is the chocolate type. Choco chip."

She copied the teacher as it could benefit her plotting...

"Oh, come now. Everyone has a favorite cookie. You can tell me. I've heard them all so don't be embarrassed. Why I knew someone whose favorite was anchovy, onion, and sauerkraut cookies," she smiled encouragingly.

"Don't be silly. Everyone likes cookies. I bet I could find a kind you'd like," she insisted A challenge. Hmmm. "And yes, we are going to work on potions," she giggled. "This IS a potions class. But, it is also the FIRST class and I want to get to know you all first."

"You MUST share some recipes with me so that I can have appropriate cookies available for you. Please stop by my office at your earliest convenience," she ordered with a smile.

Melita nodded in sympathy. "There are so many. How about our top three?"

"Absolutely not. IN fact..." Melita pointed her wand at the tray of cookies and floated it to the center to the circle. "Feel free to to just grab another whenever you'd like."[/color]

Sapphire asked what will we be learning in these lessons proffessor what kind of potions?

Thank you Miss Sophie. Did you make these yourself? Crystal really like this class already and they hadnt started work yet. What will be studying today Miss?

She smiled as the professor said there will be Potions eventually, "Thank God" she thought, and nodded, "Yeah, not really, not me, the only sweets I like are chocolate frogs" she said, perhaps it had something to do with her father not wanting his kids to eat much sugar growing up, it kind of was stuck on her mind, "I prefere salty foods, though" Kaika continued, as if she needed to explain the cookie subject, "I don't like salty cookies, either" she remarked, so Miss Sophie wouldn't bring that up.

She looked at Crystal, and smiled as the girl seemed to be enjoying herself very much.

She should have picked a random type of cookie. Oh yes she should have, for now Melina would have to bear the feeling of the teacher's eyes on her and, to be completely honest, she absolutely loathed it. The only way she could think of to get out of that mess was if she answered the question, even if she had to lie, for as much as she disliked doing it.

"Erm... Maybe black and white cookies, chocolate cookies and oreos," She nodded. Yep, those were definitely not her favourite cookies (not that she had them anyway) but that ought to make the professor look elsewhere. And if it didn't... Well, then she'd be in deep trouble for she doubted she'd be able to think of some other way to get free from those piercing eyes.

Alice was a little more than confused. This was a potions lesson, they were talking about cookies, and there was so…so much pink. When it was her turn to answer she tried to smile and answered. “Uh, hi. I’m Alice Rover. I’m a first year Ravenclaw and, uh, my favorite cookie is, uh…” She trailed off. “Thumb prints?” She was definitely not going to say anything about those bleeding tea scones. The only good ones were the ones she made herself, and the last time she tried that, her mother was ready to kill her. They were too bland. And she almost couldn’t believe the Professor wanted to be called Miss Sophie. She avoided taking a cookie, as they seemed a little too good. Never trust a skinny cook. That was her mothers motto.

Monica spoke up, having sat there quietly for some time. My name is Monica Black, 4th year Gryffindor. I don't usually eat sweets anymore not since last term, but I do like sugar cookies.

Tommy was sitting serenely one a big red cushion. "I'm Tomasina Riddle, Slytherin 6th, and my favorite cookie is a sugar cookie." Potions might become her favorite lesson if they were all going to be like that

"My name is Theresa Blake, I'm a third year Ravenclaw and my favorite cookies are chocolate ones.",Theresa said.

Saylie had grabbed a cookie by reflex and had sat on a purple cushion. She was looking around when she realized that it was her turn to introduce herself, "I'm Saylie Lavik, third year, Ravenclaw. My favorite cookies are Peanut Butter Cookies." She took a bite of the cookie to cover her nervousness about this new approach to class. She smiled at the teacher, it wasn't all that bad, and the cookie was quite good actually.

"Hello professor. Im Tinkerbell Evens, Bell for short. Im in second year Ravenclaw. My favourite cookie would be choclate chip" Bell said with a smile

Monica looked at the cookies everyone was eating. She didn't understand how they could all be eating chocolate, uh-uh she was staying away from chocolate.
