'So Professor, then to calculate the 2nd Challenge you would do year of birth minus day of birth?" She asked.

Melinda started to calculate her first Challenge.

Seven was her first challenge. She wrote it down and quickly went to her book to get a glance of what it meant. And, this is what it said:

For what it said, she needed to trust herself, be intuitive...and learn t hrough experiences. Wow, that was sort of true, she just wanted herself traveling, learning from different experiences.

Professor Shackleton smiled warmly and replied, "Thank you very much, Amelia. I certainly hope that I mastered that Challenge by the time I transitioned into the Second. Four points for your creative assessment."

"Another excellent, well thought out assessment. Four points!" Professor Shackleton found it surprising how spot-on one of the things she had said was. Two people who didn't get along? That definitely fit. But of course, it might be expected that two people might not get along when one stole the other's fiance right out from under her feet. But that's another story for another time...

"Aha! Another marvelous interpretation! Four points!"

"Tug-of-war indeed! Four points to you for imaginative interpretations!"

Professor Shackleton made her way over to Crystal's desk and glanced at her work, "Yes dear. You've done it exactly correct. Nice work."

As she made her way back to the front of the room, she asked the classroom of females, "Which of you ladies can tell me and the class how we calculate the Second Challenge?"

Allie smiled, gaining four points. The quicly raised her hand for to answer the next questron.
"To calculate the second challenge is the year of bith minus the day of birth." she said.

"To calculate the second challenge, we have to subtract our day of birth of our year of birth, Professor." Evangeline answered, after raising her hand.

Astrid couldn't help but smile at the nice compliment that she had just received. She was happy to be doing so well.

She raised her hand high in the air and said, "The Second Challenge Number is calculated by taking the year of birth and subtracting the day of birth."

Melinda quickly did her work, but didn't care if the teacher noticed if she was right or wrong. Well, who can I tease? She did care. But anyways, raised her hand for the next question.

"To calculate the second Challenge, is year of birth minus the day of birth" She said and took her hand down, since her hand, her former-injured hand, was now giving her a tickle.

Amelia beamed when Professor Shackleton complimented her assessment. Smiling warmly, she looked up the second challenge number in her text and then raised her hand. "You calculate the second challenge by subtracting the day of your birth from the year of your birth."

Ella too raised her hand, followed her fellow students."To calculate the second Challenge, we should subtract the day of our birth from the year of the birth" she said and smiled at Amelia. They were not talking much lately.

By the great enthusiasm, she quickly calculated her Second challenge on her Parchment.

After finished the calculations she had gone through the book for the meanings.

She looked up and waiting for the Professor's next instruction.

Steelsheen smiled, relieved that her assessment of the Professor's Challenge number wasnt too far off as she feared. Hearing the next question she replied "The 2nd Challenge number can be calculated by taking the year of one's birth and subtracting it from the day of one's birth. Again, using my birth date it is calculated as such..." She then proceeded to show her numbers on her parchment

Anyone who wishes to share theirs with the class may do so and others can give their interpretations."

"Also, I would learn the impotance of hard work." Allie added.

Ella got confused. Why didnt the Professor acknowlege her answer? She got up and asked, "Excuse me Professor, Did i say the wrong answer?"

Meanwhile she finished her work completely with the Second Challenge age:

Astrid had been going over her challenge in her head trying to fully grasp what it was talking about in regards to her. When she felt like she was ready to share it with the class, she said.

"Professor, my Second Challenge is a 5. For the 2 Challenge, Change is the name of the game." She laughed a little at this and continued, "It signifies that as an adult, I will need to learn to be more flexible and take risks that I was not comfortable making throughout my First Challenge time frame because of my fear of change. And while change is hard and quite scary for most people, it should be viewed as an opportunity. The chance to make changes that will positively affect my life and the lives of those around me."

TWO (2): One of the most common challenges, the number two stresses sensitivity to all human relations. One aspect of the two, as the symbol for duality, is that it requires constant vigilance to stay balanced in the juggle between two seemingly opposing forces. The negative aspect of the 2 can deal with fear, timidity, or lack of self-confidence. A potentially painful Challenge, there may be a battle with subordination or unwarranted consideration paid to what others think. The value of this Challenge is that you become sensitive to the emotions and needs of others without sacrificing your own needs at the same time.

"Professor, I do believe I'm currently in my second challange age..." she paused, reading it over. "My second challenge age will last five more years. It started in my first year. My second challenge number is three... when apparently means that I am supposed to start 'recognizing my emotions' and begin 'speaking from the heart'." She fell silent. Surely this interpertation was wrong... she already knew how to do that, of course. Surely. "Is this right?"

Professor Shackleton glanced over another parchment and spotted a small error, "Dear, I believe you must have calculated your Challenge areas incorrectly. The First Challenge Age is calculated by using the formula, 36 minus the Life Path number. The Second Challenge Age is the First Age plus 9. Please recalculate those values."

"Ah, my dear, I see a couple small mistakes. While you have calculated your Challenges correctly, your Challenge ages are a bit off. The First Challenge Age is calculated by the formula: 36 minus your Life Path number. The Second Challenge Age is calculated by the formula: First Challenge Age + 9. Please fix those errors."

Professor Shackleton stood in the back of the classroom and asked, "How do we calculate the Third Challenge?"

Allie rased her hand.
"To calculate thethird age, you do the second challenge number minus the first challenge number."
