Ariana just gave a shrug and a smirk. "I just figured that a loyal slytherin like you would want to know all about who the upcoming prefect is. Especially since you're graduating. It might be nice to know if the prefect is worthy of the title." Cassandra seemed to be doing a good job at the inventory so Ari turned and opened up one of her books researching something she wanted to try.

"Billium Q. Jones," Cassandra spat, worthy? Not in the least... but she wouldn't tell Numel. She would tell Forrester that Cassandra didn't agree with his choice and that wouldn't be good. But how could she... SHE was the Prefect... the ONLY Slytherin Prefect... in her eyes. "He goes by Will from what I've heard."

Will Jones...that name sounded familiar. "Ahhhh Will, yes. He's a good boy." Ari noticed the way Trel said his name. "I take it you don't like him so much? Why?" She asked her purely for curiousity's sake.

"Why wouldn't I like him..." because he confunded Forrester into thinking a mediocre Slytherin like him was good enough to be prefect, you cow! "I like all Slytherins, especially the ones that do not lose points."

"Well first off, you kind of spat out his name with about as much affection as a dragon forced to drink water. Second, you don't seem to share well." She counted off on her fingers.

"Oh, I share fine..." She said with a smile; sooo not true. She wasn't going to argue. She moved to the next shelf. "So have you heard from professor Forrester?" She said trying to not sound too attached.

Ari gave the girl a grin. "I don't get to see him unless it is in Hogsmeade. Last Hogsmeade I didn't see him, however I'm sure he has a good reason. Why do you ask?" She raised an eyebrow. The girl was always interested in Eddie.

"You two seem so close... I was just wondering... I miss all my male professors. Erikson, Branxton..." she added. "I just didn't know if you had a way to contact him other than owls..." Cassandra said nonchalantly, "I loved his classes..."

"We are close but no I don't have another way to be in contact with him." Ari kept her head in the book not looking at Trel. "I'm sure he gave great classes. He really knows his stuff. But you have good professors here that give good classes as well." She said turning the page and taking a pen and underlining a section on the page.

"... Yes." She said... if she meat etiquette and manners...

She sighed and dotted her parchment. "Do you mind if I re-organize these in alpha order before I move onto the Waiting room shelves?" She asked.

"Yes, that would be very much appreciated actually." Ari smiled. "Since you're so interested in my love life, why don't you tell me more about Alex? Other then that he can't live without you." Weird boy.

She blinked. "What would you like to know?"

"Well let's see. Is he romantic? Have you guys set a date? Do you're parents love him?" Sure that was enough to start with. Anything to get this girl to talk about something other then Ari's life.

"He's very romantic," a little too romantic sometimes... she thought to herself, "He is tall and handsome... his hair is softer than mine..." she shook her head, trying to come back down to earth. "We haven't set a date yet, but we need to wait till he graduates Hogwarts. That's next year... and my parents..." She sighed. "My mother approves. Which is important, she is a seer and knows our future will be a happy one... I think. My father doesn't trust him. He prefers Alex's brother, who goes to a different school."

"Is your father very protective of you? I know mine is even though I'm all grown up." She said giving a slight shake of her head and a chuckle. "What's the most romantic thing he's done?" Teenagers in love could be really sweet sometimes.

"Well... he waited until we were with our close friends, and took off and ugly ring he'd been wearing for the past two years. He threw it and the ring grew into a a small crystal table with a black box at the center. On the table, a pure white light emanated revealing a box with a ring that was a marvel of magic and diamonds." she showed it to her. The 'band' of the ring was pure light, the gems floated on and in the light, twinkling and shimmering constantly.

"Then Alex's voice floated out of the table as the box opened." She tapped her ring with her wand and it repeated his words: 'Love of my life, My dearest Cassandra. There is nothing that would make me happier then having you as my wife.'

"He then got down on one knee and waited for my response." She smiled.

Ari was going to be sick. "Wow that's really pretty." Ari said as she admired Trel's ring and grinned. "He sounds incredibly sweet. Did you cry?"

Cassandra laughed. "No... I didn't," she said "but he nearly did." She smirked. "How would you like to be proposed to?"

"My ex-fiancee liked to come up behind me and surprise me. Mainly because he knew that it could make me jump out of my skin and apparently that amused him." She said with a laugh. "When he proposed he had waited until it was dark out and we had been watching the stars and then he finally pointed to a cluster and asked me which constellation it was. When I looked where he was pointing he was holding the ring inbetween two of his fingers." Ari smiled in rememberance. It may not have worked out but she had been happy. "It was really sweet, I'm not gonna lie, I definitely teared up a little bit."

... yes Numel would cry... "That's... sweet. What happened? Why did he leave you?"

Ari gave the girl a look. "He did not leave me. He was very much in love with me. I'm the one that broke it off. Because...he just wasn't the one." Ari was noooooot going to tell Trel that it was because Ari had never really gotten over Eddie and didn't think it would be fair to marry someone else.

"Oh?" Cassandra said moving the antidotes around on the shelf. "Hmmmm well, let's hope he isn't the last one who proposes. I wouldn't be so picky if I were you, I'd hate for you to be unhappy and alone." Strangely this was true... Cassandra did want Numel to be happy... just not with Forrester... he deserved better.

"Im hardly an old maid yet, young lady. I have plenty of interested men, I'm just not interested back." Eddie was it, Ari was almooost sure. He just needed to figure it out.

"I meant no disrespect Nurse Numel," she said hiding her smile by having her back turned... "I'm sure you have a myriad of men on your doorstep." Riiiiiiight... "I was just implying that sometimes, Mr. Right is simply in front of you... maybe even on the grounds of the school next door."

"So we're back to him eh?" Ari gave a slight roll of her eyes. "He seems to be a great guy, but he's not the one I'm interested in. As you well know." She turned and put the book back on the shelf and looked over at the cabinet. It did look neater with the organization Trel had added.
