Alycya listened intently to Nurse Numel as she spoke. Her face lit up when she said something about sleep. "Really? Could you? Oh Nurse Numel. My life would be so much better I bet! And I think if I got more sleep, then my condition would get better." she said, happier than she had been all term so far.

Ari gave a slight jump when Cassandra entered the office without knocking. She'd mention it to her later. "Thank you Cassandra, I'll be right with you." She gave the girl a smile and motioned to a chair on the other side of the room.

Ari turned back to Aly and grinned at her enthusiasm. "I just want you to try it for a couple of weeks and then come back and let me know how you feel." She got up and grabbed a vial from her personal stash in case she ever needed it and handed Aly the dreamless sleep draught. "Here you go!"

Alycya jumped up happily and took the vial from Nurse Numel. She was going to have a good sleep tonight. She wanted to hug the nurse but knew that would probably be inappropriate. "Thank you so much Nurse Numel. I'll come and see you if I have any problems. Thank you again." she said, before happily bounding out of the office.

Ari grinned and smiled at the girl as she left before moving back over to Cassandra. "Sorry about that. I'm glad you are here. Eddie," Crap. Ari mentally smacked herself and hurriedly said, "..Professor Forrestor has said some great things about you. Why don't you take a seat and you can tell me just what you'd like to be able to learn from me this term and I'll let you know just how much I can really help you."

Ari sat back down and heated the tea up again and poured her and Cassandra a cup.

Cassandra took the cup of tea and started sipping on it.

Eddie... she's heard the nurse call Forrester that once before... but Professor Forrester NEVER seemed like an Eddie to her. The man was just too... well intimidating... to be an Eddie... and he deserved respect... really... Eddie...

"Well Nurse Numel," she said placing her cup back on it's saucer. "Anything you wish to teach me. I am here to just help you and observe. Whatever happens happens. My goal is to become a healer... so whatever you think is useful to me, I will perform."

Forrester had praised her to the nurse... that was just... wonderful.

Ariana nodded and refilled the girls cup as she listened to her. "That's good. I do actually have a sort of extra project that I thought I might like to try but it's mainly just making potions and trying out different recipes." She gave the girl a sort of secret smirk. "As for what I want your help with regarding the actually healing, since you are still a student, what I'm allowed to let you do is limited. Observations will be the majority of it and maybe even a small bit of assistance. And of course if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them."

Ariana sipped at her own tea and leaned back in her chair a bit. "What makes you interested in healing?" She asked her curiously.

Cassandra nodded. She understood, though not too happy, that she couldn't heal the students. "I excel in potions... so I thought, why not? I could help people and make a difference. There is also a level of challenge..." Not to mention the glory.

"Potions is a huge part of this profession. Do you have a favorite potion?" Ariana asked her. She liked the girl so far in the limited encounters they had had. But they did seem to be very different too. Cassandra seemed like an excellent worker, even if she did come across as not quite as outgoing as Ari was.

Cassandra smiled. "My favorite is the dreamless sleep potion. I find it helps me study. Not distracted by silly dreams." she told her. "Polyjuice is a close second." she added.

Ariana gave a slight chuckle. "Polyjuice...that doesn't surprise me. Very slytherin potion. Sneaky." She took a sip of her tea and added a little bit more sugar. "It's one of my favorites too." Ari admitted with a grin.

Cassandra blushed. "I... well..." She took a long sip of her tea hoping she'd change the subject. "Soooo, what shall I do first?" she asked.

Ariana thought about it for a little bit. She'd never had an apprentice before so she was just going to make it up as she went along. "Well, actually I need to take inventory of my cabinets. I have a list for the one here in the office as well as one in the waiting room. Everything from here gets moved into the waiting room as I need it. It would be a bit help to me if you would go through them and see what I need more of. This will give you a chance to familiarize yourself with different potions and ointments and give you an opportunity to see what is in each one." Ari hoped it wasn't to big of a task to ask right off.

"Will that be ok?" Ari finished her tea and began clearing her dishes away.

"Of course..."

TAKING INVENTORY?!? Was she joking!!! If Cassandra didn't think the Nurse was going to go straight to Forrester is she'd said it was beneath her, which she was, she wouldn't have agreed. "I'll start now." She said conjuring quill and parchment and starting to look at the nurse's shelves.

As she wrote them in she casually said. "I saw you in Madame Puddifoots... with the groundskeeper for Coopers." She pause and smirked, "are you two an item?"

Ari had to give the girl props for at least pretending to be thrilled with the job. Oh well the headmistress had limited Ari with what Cassandra was allowed to do so that was that. She did sputter a little bit and turned a little shade of pink. "No, I barely know him. Why would you think that?" She raised an eyebrow. "I was in there with Professor Forrestor the last time, and I'm not with him." Silly girl.

"Yes, but you and professor Forrester are like brother and sister. He's told me he thinks of you as his baby sister" Cassandra lied with a smile, still counting the vials on the shelf. She was a very good liar and she was hoping she'd get angry at that. "And the groundkeeper... well, he was strapping... handsome, and it seemed, by what I saw of you, very charming."

Ariana just looked at Cassandra and in the way that only females can really pull off. And that was all Ari did regarding the Eddie and baby sister comment. "He is charming but we're really just friends." She had enjoyed Conny's company though and did think it would be nice to see him again. She had missed Eddie though.

"Oh, don't worry." Cassandra said looking over her shoulder to her. "He'll come around, I'm sure once he gets to know you, he'll see how beautiful you are under all that... well... then you and Mr. Masterson can start going out. I'm sure professor Forrester would approve. He'd probably walk you down the isle."

Ari raised an eyebrow. This girl was already starting to walk on thin ice. Maybe more like tap dancing on thin ice....while juggling anvils. Yes. Cassandra was tapdancing and juggling anvils on thin ice. That image made Ari smile. "Yes, well we'll see."

"I could ask Professor Melita for a batch of cookies for you to bring to him." Cassandra wasn't going to mention she was going to ask her to lace them with amortentia, "The way to a man's heart is and always will be, through his stomach... and to some women too, don't you think?" She said as she continued with the next shelf.

And she just added bowling balls. Talented girl. "No, I don't really like cookies, but thank you for the offer." She gave the girl a smile. "I don't know about women, but I do agree with you about the stomach being the way to a man's heart. Is that how you came to be engaged?"

"Actually... no..." She said with a smile. Touche nurse... "Alex and I have been a couple ever since my second term, his first. He's always been my rock, and last term after he broke up with me, he realized he wouldn't survive without me. And wanted me back... a few months later, he proposed." She smirked. "I can't wait to walk down the isle with him... but we need to wait until he graduates..." She smirked at her again. "Don't worry, I'm sure once Mister Masterson falls in love with you... you'll live happily ever after..."

Ariana gave a laugh and shook her head before raising an eyebrow. "Cassandra, I never knew you had a secret match making side. I'd be careful with that, you're intimidation amongst your house might decrease...or they'd just asking you mushy romantic advice." Ari gave the girl a slight smirk. "Maybe we'll have to arrange for you to have your own booth in the common room."

Cassandra blinked. "Intimidation? Me?" She looked at herself. "I don't know what you mean." She said pretending to be offended. "My house mates love me. I'm tutoring Amanda Lesalle and just the other day Apedemac mentioned how much he and the boys missed me as prefect." Alright... so maybe not in those words... "Though a booth may be a little excessive," She said. "I have given some good love advice," her main one being date within your own house... or else... "I mean... I've been with the same boy for 6 years..." She bragged.

"Yes intimidation. You thrive on the fear of those around you. It's the slytherin way. As for being with the same guy for 6 years, congratulations. I'm impressed." Ari gave her a smile. Yes impressed that any guy was able to stand her for so long. Maybe Alex was imperio'd. Hmmm. "Amanda is lucky to have a tutor as dedicated as you are, that's for sure." Ari nodded a bit at the mention of the boys missing her as prefect. "Who is the boy's prefect this term?" She asked curiously and looked over to make sure Trel was writing everything down the right way.

Cassandra ignored the comment of her being intimidating... Numel had her mind made up, and she had grown to be rather intimidating. She smiled as the nurse congratulated her on her time with Alex, but that quickly faded. "What makes you think I know?" She said going back to the inventory... what does SHE want with that horrible Puffskein Will, or Bill... whatever...
