The Herbology office had been strangely redecorated. Stepping in there are sounds of Mozart and Beethoven, for those who would recognize it. Most often playing is Moonlight Sonata. The walls are lined with black velvet, draped in blue and silver cloth. The atmosphere is dark and humid with exotic plants all around, small suns hanging over each one in different intensities. Some are rare, and some don't look familiar at all. At the back of the office is an oak desk with dark varnish and a black marble top. The chairs are dark oak with plush blue velvet and silver trim.

Behind the desk sits Professor Erikson, smiling softly and inviting you in. He's fairly pale for someone who works outdoor often (though fairly normal for the average person), with contrasting long black hair. Some of it falls into his face, but the rest is pulled back in a low ponytail. His soft blue eyes are accepting of the questions you have. As you have a seat he lowers the music volume.

"Yes, childe?"

He couldn't help a smile as Monica made her way out, singing. Well, at least she seemed to be doing better. Hopefully it would be a mood that lasted. "Goodnight, Kayla." He waved to Monica at the door.

He walked back over to Camira, who had been quiet through the entire ordeal. He waited for her to speak, sipping his tea, letting her have whatever time she wanted or needed.

Juniper knocked on Professor Erikson’s door. He had told her to come back another day, and she had. She just hoped that the Herbology professor wasn’t busy.

Erikson answered the door and smiled to Juniper. "Ah, there you are. Do come on in and make yourself comfortable. Now, where did we leave off?"

Marco hesitated. He wasn't sure whether this was a good idea. He was, after all, standing in front of Armand's office door. Only and idiot would do that, especially after what they had been through. He took a long blink, and a deep breath, before placing his hand against the door. Finally he summoned up the courage, and knocked 3 times. He exhaled, but there was no chance of his running away now.

Armand answered the door, looking a little worse for wear. His hair fell down around his shoulders, Armand not having bothered to tie it up. If it weren't for the weary look, he might have looked menacing. "Ah, Marco," he said quietly. "How can I help you?"

Marco took a deep breath again as the door opened in front of him. He looked up at the Professor, to see his hair down. The only times he had seen Erikson with his hair down, he was threatening him, or had that scary look on his face. But the look on the Professor's face was not one he should weary of but one he did not recognise. "Erm Professor are you ok?" he asked before even thinking about answering the question asked.

He gave Marco a small smile. "A very dear friend of mine... is hurting. Such a thing tends to wear on me greatly." He gestured for Marco to come in, offering a seat. "It will be fine."

Marco nodded, "Oh ok Professor." He shuffled inside, and sat down in the seat Erikson indicated to. He smiled weakly at the Professor. "I came here to apologise to you. For my behaviour towards you, setting fire to your hair, and poisoning your wife."

Armand crossed his arms and leaned against his desk, looking rather bemused. "You poisoned my wife?"

"Yes in Diagon Alley," Marco looked at his knees, "When I changed her tea to coffee. I am sorry." He was feeling guilty. The Professor hadn't deserved anything he had done to him.

"Oh, yes, the coffee." He waved it off. "For the most part, Marco, keep in mind that I have excellent control of my emotions, and when in the right mood I can act however I want. Don't tell my wife I said this, lest she hand me my shredded hide in a doggy bag, but she can be rather melodramatic."

He nodded, "I guess so." She was quite overdramatic that day. But he wasn't about to say so, it was demeaning to his wife after all. "I will not tell her Professor."

He took his usual seat against his desk. He did it often enough that he wondered why he even had a desk. Of course, then he would remind himself that there was such a thing as paperwork. Ugh. Perhaps he would move his desk elsewhere. Procrastinate in grading homework... moreso.

He played with his hair a little, letting it entwine and slip through his fingers. It was a habit not often seen, and he was more likely to have his hair tied back. "Either way, Marco, I am more than willing to make amends."

Marco watched the Professor caress his own hair like a girl. It was an odd scene. He hadn't expected it from the man. He looked so...manly. And he was even more surprised to hear the words come out of the man's mouth. He wanted to make amends. It was the reason Marco had come here. "As am I Professor. It is why I am here. To apologise and hope that you won't hate me."

He chuckled lightly. "My dear Marco, I do not hate you. I have never hated you. I am not sure that I have truly hated any--" He caught himself and thought about it. "Never mind that. Did I trust you? No. But neither have I ever hated you."

"But I did things to you and your family that noone deserves. It would give you reason to hate me," Marco sighed. Did he even know about the kiss Marco and his wife had shared? He didn't want to bring it up, just in case he didn't know, and then would actually hate him. "But thank you Sir. I only ask for forgiveness."

Jasmine approached the office door and knocked softly a slight frown on her rather thin and tired looking face. Grabbing her locket she tucked it under her robes, they didnt like it when she was talking to her adoptive father.

Clasping her hands behind her back she waited to see if he was in.

"Take heart, Marco. No person holds my grudges easily. It takes a good deal. I won't say that this means I trust you by any means. You could be attempting into my good graces in order to find a weakness, easily... Should I think you were capable of that, anyhow." He shook his head. "You will need to gain my trust, but other than that I am willing to work with you."

He heard another knock on the door and went to answer it. He smiled finding his daughter there, though it brought to mind other things that were wrong, and the fact that she hadn't been as amicable to him as of late. "Welcome, sweetie, as always. Come on in."

"I do not wish to hunt for a weakness, I just wish to become more amicable. I would rather have you as a friend than an enemy," Marco smiled, "What can I do to gain your trust?"

He turned to see Jasmine enter, he smiled at her. He hadn't seen her in a while. But she looked as good as always.

"It will either come naturally, or it will not. But this is the way it will likely work: When you attempt or proclaim something, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you. For the sake of argument, 'trust' you. If you do not break that probationary trust, then you have earned yourself some points in my eyes. Understand?"

Marco listened to what the Professor had to say. He nodded. It made some sense. He just had to tell the truth. That should be easy to do. "I understand Professor. Tell the truth to you. Thank you Sir."

He eyed the boy. Did he really understand? Ah well... There were greater problems to deal with. "Well, if you could please excuse us, Marco. I would like to talk with my daughter in private."

Marco nodded, "Yes Sir." He stood up, bowing his head to both Erikson and Jasmine. "Good day to you Sir. And to you Jasmine." He smiled to them both before leaving the office.
