The Herbology office had been strangely redecorated. Stepping in there are sounds of Mozart and Beethoven, for those who would recognize it. Most often playing is Moonlight Sonata. The walls are lined with black velvet, draped in blue and silver cloth. The atmosphere is dark and humid with exotic plants all around, small suns hanging over each one in different intensities. Some are rare, and some don't look familiar at all. At the back of the office is an oak desk with dark varnish and a black marble top. The chairs are dark oak with plush blue velvet and silver trim.

Behind the desk sits Professor Erikson, smiling softly and inviting you in. He's fairly pale for someone who works outdoor often (though fairly normal for the average person), with contrasting long black hair. Some of it falls into his face, but the rest is pulled back in a low ponytail. His soft blue eyes are accepting of the questions you have. As you have a seat he lowers the music volume.

"Yes, childe?"

Camira was surprised to hear such a thing. The Professor had always been so nice to her. She couldn't picture him being so cold and emotionless like her father. She smiled when he said maybe she'd get to meet his best friend one day. That would definitely be interesting. "I hope so, Sir. I'm definitely curious about him now." She sighed and stood up. "I suppose I'd best be going. I've taken up so much of your time already." She walked over and gave him a hug. "Thank you for everything", she said sincerely. He really had to be one of the best professors ever.

He nodded and hugged her back. "You're welcome. And Camira, don't ever feel afraid or ashamed to tell me anything, alright? I'm always glad to help any way I can. Even if it's just to listen and share some fudge."

Camira smiled and nodded. She opened the door to leave, one foot already out before suddenly remembering something she'd wanted to ask. "Professor, one more thing. Where can I get a Venomous Tentacula?"

Marco burst into Erikson's office. He wasn't even out of breath, "Liam Moiser has almost drowned in the lake. He is currently unconcious Sir. Help is needed."

Erikson groaned. "I'm sorry, Camira. It's a rather dangerous plant, and it seems my attention is needed elsewhere." He laid a hand on her shoulder and led her out, shoving Marco out as he did so. He locked up and gestured for Marco to lead the way.

Monica walked out to Professor Erikson's office. She still felt shell shoked about Liam's death. She knocked on the door.

Camira again walked with Mons. She'd just been here. She sighed. She should just live in there.

Erikson walked up to his office, walking by the girls to unlock the door. He let them in and started pulling different herbs from jars. "Please, have a seat. I will be just a moment."

Camira sighed and walked into the professor's office. She did not want to be here right now. Not if he was going to be so cold. She wasn't crying or anything and she'd managed to numb herself, but she was still trying to be helpful to Monica.

He set a pot to boil just off to the side of his room, and added the herbs to it. He considered things quietly. Some part of him, a darker part of him, wanted to stay as he was. At this moment, that was a large part of him as well. But another part was crying out to help his students. At this moment, a calming tea may be the best he could do. He needed Slade. He needed Natasha. He needed... somebody. Someone who could bring him out of this. He went to his desk and wrote out a simple note, sending it off to his friend. As he approached the girls, the struggle was evident in his eyes. The need to feel... anything.

"I've got some tea brewing. It will help a little," he said quietly, though wasn't sure what else he could say. Not yet.

"Thank you professor." She said softly. Her long black hair fell in her face. She just couldn't believe it.

Camira looked at the professor, wondering what the heck was wrong with him, but then she noticed something when she looked into his eyes. Oh God. He was struggling with this also. Camira didn't know what to do now. Between Monica and the professor, it was quite a depressing setting. She just sat there, staring back and forth between the two of them.

Monica looked up at her friend, she needed someone to hug her or something. She couldn't deal witht his alone.

Armand checked on the tea. Satisfied, he poured a cup for each of them, handing it to the girls as he did so. The glitter of something appearing on his desk caught his eye and he nearly dropped his cup. He took up the note and read it, his hand shaking. Something flashed over his eyes as he felt a shock seem to run through him, the barrier broken. He briefly remembered his conversation with Camira and wondered whether she would recognize this as his secondary trigger. A conversation for another time, and another place.

He joined the girls, clutching the note, and this time with a look of grief upon his face. He leaned against the desk and sipped the tea carefully, thinking over his next words. Finally he set his tea aside, looking over the girls. "Something like this is never easy," he said at last, the warmth returning to his voice. "A young life has ended prematurely, and that is always hard enough to hear about. For the life of someone you have met, or to see loss before you... in your arms... I can provide no solice, for there is never any to be had." He moved forward and laid a hand on each of their sholders. "But I can offer a place of grievance, and a place of comfort, away from prying eyes. What little I have here is yours to share for such a thing."

Monica took the cup of tea, holding it. The warmth of the cup soothed her."I feel so cold professor. I wonder if I did something wrong, if I missed something. A little boy died in my arms tonight and I wonder if it's my fault." She whispered Monica sipped her tea not really tasting it.

Armand moved from Camira so that he could kneel in front of Monica. He laid both hands on her shoulders, making sure they were face-to-face. "I watched you. You didn't miss anything. You didn't do anything wrong. We all did what we could. But sometimes... sometimes it just isn't enough. Sometimes you can never do enough. But it isn't your fault."

Monica looked up, tears pooling in her eyes. "I know I would do it again if I thought I could help." She took a breath, "It just breaks my heart professor." Monica put her arms around the professor's neck and cried softly, mourning for the life of the little boy Liam.

He held her close, tightly, letting her cry. "It's alright," he said softly. "I know. And it's good that you would." He was doing his best to remain steady for her. The note fell from his hand as he comforted the young student, falling open to the ground.

Armand ran a hand through her hair once and lifted her chin to look her in the eyes. "You can stay here as long as you wish, my dear. Well, until the night, that is. I'm afraid that I cannot have you staying overnight in my office. I'm sure you can understand."

Kayla knocked on the door to Professor Erikson's office and waited for him to answer. She couldn't believe that Liam was dead.

Monica smiled. "I understand." She liked him, he was nice. "Professor Erikson, can I ask you something? What would you do if someone in your house was spreading untrue rumors aobut you, because you spent more time with family and friends in another house rather than your own?"
