You enter the Potions classroom, conspiciously empty of movement apart from a shimmering light in the far corner and the slow bubbling of the cauldron in the center of the class.

Xana entered the potions classroom quickly, glancing around and taking a seat at the front of the class.

Juniper walked into the potions classroom, shivering slightly. Just the thought of the cold snow outside made her shiver, even though it was almost warm in the castle. She looked around, surprised that the room was basically empty. Juniper nervously dropped her bag to the floor and sat down near the front of the room. Every so often she would glance around, almost positive that someone or something was hiding in the corner about to jump out at her. The fact that there was an older Slytherin girl also sitting in the front did not comfort her nerves much.

Xana smiled at the girl who sat near her; she'd seen her in other classes but did not personally know her. "Hi..." she said softly with a warm smile.

Kayla entered the classroom and sighed heavily, this was definitely not one of her favourite classes. She took a seat up the back.

Juniper looked, wide-eyed, at the Slytherin who spoke to her. Why had she spoken to her? Juniper had not done anything wrong. "Hi," she murmured in reply. The Slytherin looked like she was a seventh year. Seventh year meant old. Old meant intimidating.

Hermy entered the classroom, a look of worry clearly on her face. However she needed to focus if she wanted to help Finn, so she unusually took a place near the front of class. She got out her equipment and sat fiddling with a Hufflepuff-yellow bracelet on her right wrist.

Claudian entered the potions class and took a seat near Xana at the front of the class.

Claudian smiled at the shivering Ravenclaw. "Are you alright? You look very cold. Either that or you are fond of shaking. Would you like a warming spell?", he was feeling sociable today.

Willow stepped inside the Potions Classroom, with a little yawn. Homework and studyng surely was taking some of her sleep time, and she was not happy about that. Regardless, if she wanted Ravenclaw to win the house cup, Homework and Studyng must be done.

Nature-freak... Again

With a sigh, Willow made her way quietly to were Goodwin was sitting. If it wasn't because she hated to sit alone... "Do you mind if I sit here? Obviously, she took sit without even waiting for the girl's response and took out her book. She really couldn't care less if Juniper wanted her close or not.

"Oh, Hello" She said politely to a pair of older Slytherin students that seemed to be talking to Goodwin, and that she, because she was on her own little world as usual, had not spotted.

Kayla looked up at the sound of Claudian's voice and smiled. She got out of her seat and made her over to him. "Only for you, Mr Slughorn would I sit at the front of the class" she said with a chuckle. "Now you're going to have to help me out in this class."

Kayla nodded at the two girls sitting with him. "Hello" she said with a smile.

Juniper turned to see, who else, anti-nature girl. Kovac. Juniper cringed. She and Kovac did not get along very well, and she was rather sure that Kovac knew that. Why, then, did the second year voluntarily sit next to her? Juniper did not know.

"Sure, sit down," she muttered belatedly, for anti-nature girl had already sat. She did not see why anyone would ask permission to sit and then sit before permission was granted. Hmph.

Juniper nodded in response to Kayla's nod. She recognized the Hufflepuff but did not know her name. And, at that point in time, she did not really want to know the girl's name.

Cassandra walked into class, instead of sitting in the front as she usually did, today she made her way to the back of the class. Her eyes were swollen and red and she continuously was sniffling.

Claudian put an arm Kayla and patted her convivially. With all the students disappearing, it had him a bit sentimental and he was glad that Kayla was still around. "I will try my best, dear, but if you want to be really good in potions I would follow the example of this young lady here." He said gesturing towards Xana. "She's really very good, much better than myself, incidentally, she also happens to be my girlfriend.", he whispered in to Kayla. In his tone traces of happiness, which he tried to conceal, but was hopeless at it.

Ryder walked into the room setting his potions book down on the table and taking his seat. He had his parchment out and his quill ready he loved potions and was wondering what they would be working on today.

Willow was arranging her stuff, when she heard Juniper's reply. This girl sure was strange. Why would she reply to her 'Can I sit here question', when she had already sit?

Weird girl

Quickly forgetting the fact that she was sharing her table with Goodwin, she scattered all her stuff in the table (even using Juniper's table space), and waited for the class to start.

with a puff of smoke, a ghost-like apparition in the shape of Professor Dresden appears in the middle of the classroom next to the cauldron.

"I apologize for being unable to be physically present for this class. As you may know, I have been afflicted by a strange condition and am currently seeking treatment for it.

Today we will be studying potions which affect your mind - whether to slow your thinking process, make you think things that aren't real, or tweak your personality.

Can anyone give me an example of a mind-altering potion?"

Juniper glared at Willow from behind the curls that had fallen into her face. What a rude girl Kovac was, taking up more than her share of table space. Juniper discreetly leaned forward and piled up Kovac's stuff. If the girl was going to have more stuff than would fit on her part of the table, she could at least have it neatly on Juniper's part.

Rude, ridiculous anti-nature girl. Juniper did not remember why she had ever liked Willow in the first place.

Juniper raised her hand to answer the question. "A forgetfullness potion," she said promptly. "And probably Felix Felicis as well."
