ll Achmed's 2nd Keeper ll Team Jacob l l Otaku ll Sam decided to get in some time to practice the skills he had supposedly learned since the last time he'd helped out. It had been a while, but he was ready to do some good, if only to get some air. He strode out into the park clad in old jeans and a T-shirt, not incredibly sure of what he was planning on doing. Perhaps in his state of mind, he wanted to fight a beast. Perhaps he wanted to get hurt. Whatever the case, he hadn't been feeling much like his good old Hufflepuff, sarcastic, good natured self. And he needed to take it out on some thing.
Sam went straight for the XXX section. He searched along the isles for something, something interesting. He stopped at the door to the Hippogriff enclosure. Winged...sort of horse. Cool. Sam still had the self control to read the sign outside the enclosure, it had tips. Even if he wanted a fight, he wasn't ready to die just then. Bow? He had to bow? Well, if he got a ride out of it, he was happy. Or at least less dark.
Sam unlatched the door to the enclosure and stared at the nearest Hippogriff. He didn't blink, not that he really felt like blinking and grudgingly bowed slightly, never blinking his eyes. He then stood up and stared at the winged animal once again, waiting for it to return the gesture. After a long while, it did. Sam sighed, and blinked. "So, you gonna let me ride you?" he asked, approaching the creature slowly.
Tentatively, Sam reached out and stroked the hippogriff's beak gently. It didn't seem to protest. "So how do I get on you?" he asked, putting his hand on the creature's neck. It snorted loudly. "Okay!" Sam stood with his hands up, "Alright, we'll do this then."
Sam stood on a tree stump that was conveniently close by and heaved himself up onto the creature. "Now...let's fly." Sam waited for a minute, but lo and behold. The hippogriff didn't fly. "Come on!" he implored and kicked his heel into the animal. That should get it's attention It definitely did. It caught both parties attention in fact, which Sam realized as he flew through the air and landed on his back not to far away from the enclosure gate.
The hippogriff had thrown him off! The creature in question, was planning on doing more then that. I don't want to die. The words flashed through his mind as he sprinted across to the door and jumped over. Landing roughly on the other side, Sam slid down the door and felt the jarring as the hippogriff kicked at it from the other side. He sighed, he made it. Barely. It was kinda funny actual, almost dieing. Sam snorted, which quickly turned into manic laughter. It was really funny! |
