| | |  Magical Creatures Park #61
Welcome to Hogwart's Care of Magical Creatures Park.
Right on one end of the Grounds there's a securely gated park, big enough to hold Hogwarts's Magical Creatures. This is the place where all magical creatures reside and are taken care off; feeding, cleaning, training.. etc etc. If you want to learn more about them in your spare time or lend an extra hand to take care of them with your CoMC Professor then this is your place to be. Extra credit points will be issued for dedicated students.
Park #61:
Contains all creatures with ratings X-XXX, this area of the park is safe for students to carry chores on their own. Professor supervision is not mandatory unless it requires his immediate attention or inquiry related.
Reminders:
XXX - Strong wizard can cope with this type of creature.
XX - Can be domesticated and trained.
X - Boring

Camira slunk into the park and immediately started looking around for what she needed. After a few minutes of walking she saw it. A beautiful black-headed Hippogriff with yellow eyes.
She walked slowly over to it until she was close enough for it to know she was approaching it. It twitched slightly and looked at her warily. She made sure to look it straight in the eyes and bow. It was a bit hard to bow low and look it in the eyes and she almost tripped at one point, but managed to hold position. The Hippogriff tilted its head and looked at her curiously. For a moment, she thought she was going to be in huge trouble, but then it lowered itself into an unmistakable bow.
She sighed a deep breath of relief before moving towards it slowly, but confidently. She walked to the side of it and patted a wing. The Hippogriff watched her carefully, but did not seem disturbed by her. Excellent. Now she just needed to figure out how to get on.

While the Slytherin student took her time to respond, Fabian lowered the ice-filled bucket near the rocky border surrounding the snake. "Thanks for keeping an eye on it Gwen!.. if you don't mind me asking, what was your plan if the snake laied its eggs before i arrived?"

Camira had just about figured out how she was going to get on when she heard a loud voice telling her not to. She looked over. Ugh. Fabian Clark. Figured. She swore the man had it out for her. "I'm simply petting him", she said rather rudely. She sighed and figured she'd better wait until the Professor was out of sight.
She wondered how you bathed a hippogriff. Sighing, she looked around for a bucket. "I'll be right back", she said fondly to it. Finally she found one and a sponge. She put warm water in the bucket and walked back over to the Hippogriff, bowing before him. She wasn't sure if she had to bow every time she saw him now, but it was better safe than sorry. After getting the green light from him, she walked over and after hesitating only a second or two, started wetting his back with the sponge.

Fabian kept his eyes locked on Miss Yaxley for sometime before murmuring an "Okay", only turned around when she went to get a water bucket.

Emily nodded. “Thanks, sir.” And wandered off towards the gate to borrow a pair of gloves. She examined them all very carefully before choosing a pair. You never know where they've been, or indeed, who has been wearing them prior to you. 'Yuck!' Ems would have to remember to wash her hands thoroughly when she got back to the dorms. But it was better than being burned. She wandered back over to Ashwinder pen and continued to watch the creature with curiosity.
After a few moments Emily turned to the professor again. “What will happen to the eggs once they’re frozen? Will they stay within the school and be sent to Professor Dresden for use in potions, and the hospital wing ...or are the sold? They’re worth a lot of galleons aren’t they?”

"Erm...run," Gwen said, chuckling nervously. "...And call for an older student to do the Freezing Charm since I don't know it yet." No use pretending she was more adept than she was, being only a second year.

Strolling to the Kneazle section of the park with Deki at my feet, and a bucket of food, I see the proffessor and divert my way to him.
"Morning Proffessor. You don't mind if I feed the Kneazle kittens, do you? I brought mine along to encourage behaviour among them." I say noting Deki standing at my feet, staring at the proffessor's boots.
"Heh, proffessor, Deki noticed your boots, nice colour, makes you very noticable."

Camira smirked as she was pulled up. She wrapped her arms around Landon's waist so she didn't fall off. "Okay, buddy, lets go", she said with a firm, but not too harsh smack in the rear. Sure enough it took off running and started spreading it's wings. Just then, she had a thought. "I have no idea how to control where it goes." Hopefully, the thing knew how to read minds. Excelsior came to the park to see what type of creatures were there and was very pleased and excited with everything he saw. He couldn't decide what his favorite creature was, he thought all of them were awesome and had their own charm about them. The crups and kneazles looked like they would make awesome pets, the fire crab had the most spectacular shell he had ever seen, the ashwinder was a fascinating creature to watch, every creature there was absolutely amazing in one way or the other. He hoped to come back here soon and spend a lot more time working with all these creatures and learning more about them. | |
