"Ah...and you're leaving why? I'd say that's quite a cowardly thing to do...especially for a Slytherin. Sure, we're not labeled 'brave', but we're not cowardly either...well, most of us are not." Dia smirked. She glanced over at the bright, white dragon, not even afraid of it. "Is that the best you can do? If you're going to abandon me to fight a creation of yours, at least give me a challenge, for Merlin's sake..." Sure, that might have been a mistake...but she wasn't ready to quit in the slightest.

Jessy arched his eyebrow. "How on earth am I leaving. I'm standing here right now, ready to duel you again. My dragon is merely an advantage..." Jessy smiled as he said 'advantage'. "I was only backing away to symbolize my power over your threat." He explained, while smirking. "Now what are you going to do...?" Hitachi laughed as he asked.

"Well splendid, then. The way you said 'leaving me to deal with your dragon' and started backing up, it made it seem as if you were actually leaving." Dia smirked. "I could ask you the same. What shall you do?" she asked, her wand still pointing directly at Hitachi. Dia backed up the correct amount of paces and bowed her head slightly, not even trusting him enough to bow. Still not making any wand motions, she thought, 'Infractus vas!' With no warning, millions of fang-like shards of glass came soaring towards Hitachi at an incredible amount of speed. If they reached him, it wouldn't kill him...but it would probably injure him.

Jessy wanted this duel to end, and now. The white dragon shielded him from Dia's lethal spell. The dragon then soared towards Dia, for the tackle. The dragon went for the attack, to try to pin Dia.

As the huge dragon soared towards her, Dia cursed under her breath. If Hitachi didn't have the courage to duel her head-on, yet make the dragon do all the dirty work...well, that wasn't exactly a 'victory', even if she did get stupefied in the process. "Protego horriblis!" she cried, blocking the dragon from knocking her down like a Muggle bowling pin. Dia glared daggers over at Hitachi, using this moment where she was protected to think, 'Ferus ut inermis!', her wand pointed at the great beast. Suddenly, the dragon was no more--it had landed on the floor, a switching spell put upon it, and now it was merely a stuffed dragon toy.

'Cruor subsisto minimus!' Dia thought again, aiming at Hitachi this time, and casting a stupefying spell and disarming spell along with it. She desperately needed a break from duelling...and yet she didn't want to be beaten.

Hitachi was impressed. He let all the spells hit him. He fell back quite far. "I was born in Japan, where ninjas were quite treasured. I do not believe their skills would be considered 'cowardly'" Hitachi said as he appeared behind her. His duplicate melted once again. "Dia, this is the second time. Next time cast a revealing spell." Hitachi said as he pointed his wand at the back of her head. "STUPEFY! EXPELLIARMUS!" Hitachi yelled as he casted the spells.

"Perhaps not, but we are in a wizard's duel. It does seem cowardly--to me, at the very least-- to make another creature fight instead of yourself fighting when you could easily just fight yourself. I may have used creatures in the duel as well, and very well may in the future--but I did not step back and wait until my creature pinned you down before attacking. Just saying." Dia forced a smile. "I don't think you should be telling me what to do...I am a seventh year, after all...and it is my move in the duel to make." she flicked her wand lazily and blocked the spells. "Ah, and a suggestion...perhaps you should stop duplicating yourself. We shall never finish the duel if you keep on doing that, after all..."

'Stupefy!' Dia thought. 'Petrificus totalus!'

That was it... The duel was over NOW! Hitachi jumped over the spells and did a somersault in the middle of the air. He landed and ran towards Dia. He poked Dia hard and casted "Stupefy!"

"I don't think it would matter at all in a real duel against a dark wizard, I'd rather rid him then 'give him a challenge'. The world isn't always about playing games.."

Dia did a slashing movement in the air with her wand and the spell rebounded off the invisible shield that had come up, disappearing somewhere over Hitachi's shoulder. As he mentioned the word 'real duel' and 'dark wizard', she had to refrain from bursting out laughing. "And who says this isn't a 'real' duel? We both can do magic, we are battling each other with magic...yes, I would say this is a real duel, don't you think? No, the world is not always about playing games...though...the world is harsh. Life itself is a game...of survival of the fittest. We're in a world where the dog eats the dog. Perhaps not as bad as about 70 years ago...but still harsh." she growled.

Jessy smirked. "Believe me...This is practice." He said as he casted "Confundo!" At Dia. He then ran east, and casted "Stupefy!" He ran East again and casted "Expelliarmus!" He ran east again and casted "Petrificus Totalus!"

"This may be practise--I've had much more difficult duels by far--but it is still a real duel."

As Hitachi sent all four spells at her, she dropped to the floor swiftly, though she still felt a spell pass right over her head, and sprang up just as she saw the last one pass. 'Expelliarmus!' she thought, rolling in a compact ball out of the path of any oncoming spells, and sending a non-verbal 'Infligo sicco!' towards her friend.

Rachel stood in a corner, looking around for someone to pair with. Not seeing anyone that seemed to be interested in working with her, she practiced by herself.

James flicked his wand in front of him to dispel Hitachi's rebounded spell. The disarming charm hit him hard and his wand flew up and out of his reach. He dived to the ground, barely dodging the two stunning spells. He rolled along the ground and picked up his wand.
"Well, you're not going to get me that easily, either." he said. James flicked his wand and sent two stunning spells towards Hitachi. He pointed his wand directly at him.
"Reducto!" he said unintentionally. The golden light sped to the ground and created a large crater near Hitachi. Knowing his Stunning spells would most likely miss Hitachi, he sent another two flying towards him.

Rhiannon tilted her head. Water-resistant flames? I guess i'm lucky he didn't cast them. My plan wouldn't have worked. But then it is a good idea. Maybe I'll use it sometime.

When he said that the other people weren't friends of his, she could sense there was probably a story behind it. She didn't ask about it though. She also could tell he wanted to change the subject."Yeah, I am having fun. It's easier now that the term has gotten into full swing. And I always enjoy dueling. That was the one thing I could always get Jonathan to do when he wasn't playing Quidditch. He's the one who taught me the spell with the golden eagle." She grinned. "See, I have a bird enabler in my family. He teaches me spells conjuring birds, and gives me an owl. Maybe you should be yelling at him. If you wanted to get in the face of an eighteen-year-old wannabe Quidditch star."

She was surprised by the next thing that came out of her mouth. "I signed up for Quidditch tryouts. No idea why. I'd do better if I could just confund everyone in a match." She laughs.

Hitachi saw the two spells coming for him. He flicked his wand and knew what to do. He closed his eyes and let the spells come. He stuck his wand into his left hand's palm. He sucked both her spells, then with a large grunt he released the spells back to her with a strong power.

Jessy then hastily pointed his wand at the air above Dia. "Earilithis Mimbletoem! Lightisis Mimbletoem! Firilis Mimbletoem!" And sure enough, large pile of powerful rocks and soil, mounded up together and formed into a large ball. It was followed by a large pack of lightning that went colliding with the earth. A large ball of fire joined the two. The large revolving, spinning ball of destruction was almost complete.

He casted "Windilis Mimbletoem!" And a large blast of visible wind shot out of his wand and grabbed the chaos ball. It then pulled it with full force towards Dia. Jessy smirked at the thought of her trying to stop it.

Hitachi then waved his wand and yelled a simple stupefying spell and a disarm spell. The two jets of red light followed the ball of chaos. Hitachi then swivled his wand around. He casted "Protego Totalum." A shield covered him completley.

When he saw all five spells coming towards him he immediately casted "Protego Totalum!" A large shield protected him from all 5 spells. He then waved his wand and yelled "Confringo!" at his chest. Then followed by a "Stupefy!" that was aimed at his head, along with a "Expelliarmus!" that was aimed at his feet.

Jade entered the dueling arena quietly, not wanting to bother the students who were fighting. She sat in a quiet corner, took out a piece of parchment and a quill and started noting down the spells that the students were using in order to look them up later at the library.

"He sounds really cool."he told her as taking care and conjuring up birds wasnt a job he would go for, but someone had to do it. For if he did not then we wouldnt have spells nor owls to do certain jobs." Sounds like he is pretty good with spells. do you have one for a phoenix?" he asked her curious."Thats alright i dont think anyone needs to be yelled at for being good at casting spells." He smiled as he heard that she had signed up for quidditch." Thats great. You seem to really like it and im sure they could use another good player. " he leaned in a little and said in a whisper." Just watch out for willow." he teased." I really like willow though. She is great at quidditch and she keeps me on my feet." he told her. He heard her last statement and started laughing." Yes...well keep away from slytherin." they didnt need any thing else against them.

Alex smirked as he learnt across the wall, watching the magic, today he had a black cloak on, sinster indeed, with the grin on his face, he reached to his wand. He kept his mouth closed, he was in the sixth year. Silent spells were his weakness, time to practise, he knew he had to. He moved his wand like a whip aiming it in a direction, he filled his self with happiness. No-one knew he was trying for a patronus.

ooc: Aww...I sorta wanted to destroy the whole freaken classroom. JK. Though I do love using non-canon spells...allows us to be a bit more creative.

Smirking as the chaos ball hurtled toward her, Dia simply cast a muttered 'Protego totalum!'. She drew an invisible ankh-like shape in the air in front of her, causing a shield to be put on her side of the arena. As the chaos ball passed through the shield, it promply turned into dust--only this, and nothing more. 'Finite Incantatem!' she thought, aiming towards Hitachi's shield. 'Langlock, Levicorpus!' Dia cast, again putting up a sheild.

Jade was writing down spells she didn't know on her piece of parchment feverishly. It was an excellent way to learn new spells, an entertaining one too. She was looking forward to fighting someone herself but her knowledge of spells was too limited to enable her to get involved in a fight. She liked learning defensive spells as they were both useful and exciting so she stayed at her place, noting down spells she had never heard of.

Rhiannon thought for a minute. "No. He hadn't come up with any phoenix conjuring spells last I heard. Unless he took time off from his campaigning for a spot on the national team to come up with one since I've been gone. I haven't had time to write yet."

She smiled as he commented about Quidditch. "Yeah, I like the game. I just don't know if I'm any good at it. And Willow seemed nice. At least when I was talking to her at the feast." She broke into giggles as he told her to stay away from Slytherin. "If I wanted to confund anyone, why would I tell them? I'm perfectly aware you're in that house. Are you worried that I'll screw up their chances? Or are you just worried I might use my amzing charms knowledge against you?"

"Jack, it's my honor. Let's duel!!!!!"

"National team?Wow.. thats really awesome." he told her with a smile. " well if he is doing that then he really must be good."

"Im sure your brilliant at it. Especially if you've been coached by someone who is trying to get on the national team. You might cream us all." he told her with a smile. He then laughed at her comment about slytherins and who she was going to use it against." Well...dont confund us because we are having enough time as it is. We won the house cup last year, but not the quidditch cup. So really... more worried about quidditch. Now that you've mentioned it...Try not to use your amazing charms on me. Im confused enough as it is when it comes to a few classes. Anymore confusion and they will probably kick me out of class."

Jack stood up.I will go first.Stupfy!

Returning from the common room I see that the entire room is still in constant combat. I post on the board in the room that I wish to duel. I then sit down to watch others cast thier spells.
"Subliminus messagus" I say minimally aimed at the thought of Barry, hoping that the spell would hit and make him act like a chicken.
