Rhiannon looked over at Amelia once again, and then back at Josh. "Sure. I think Amelia needs some time away from the dueling." She salutes the Slytherin with her wand and moves off a ways away. Getting in her dueling stance, which strangely is ismilar to a stance used in the Muggle sport of fencing, she waits to find out what Josh is going to do.

Cassandra was smug, not only had she hit the boy, but now he seemed covered in fur. She remembered her first year when the Gryffidor girl sent a similar spell to the charms professor, and tried to blame Nikolai Vannacutt for it...

In the distraction of the memory, his spell hit her. Cassandra's tongue seemed glued to the roof of her mouth. Drat! She did not know how to perform non verbal spells quite yet. It was her sixth year... she needed to learn.

She knew the theory behind it, so she thought hard for her easiest spell stupefy! Stupefy!! STUPEFY!!!! but nothing came out. Drat!!! She wasn't going to lose to him! No like this!

"im afraid i might of gotten carried away on the last one." he said referring to why Amelia was still a bit out of it. he walked over to an empty space as he was heading into his stance when he saw her own. Looked rather familiar."Mind me asking where you get your stance." he asked before the duel. " it looks familiar thats all."

Dan crept up behind Ems " boo " he said from behind her with a grin drawing his wand " Fancy a duel Miss Greenwood ?" Dan knew he would probably loose but hed put it down to been too much of a gentleman to hurt poor Ems.

Emily jumped as Dan decided to scare her. 'Very funny - I don’t think.' Dan, of all people, should know that sneaking up behind someone like that and scaring them is a bad idea… especially with a Ringo somewhere out there. She turned and looked at him, “You’re lucky I didn’t hex you for that one, Sychev.” She teased. “Alright then.” She agreed to duel him. She took her wand out once again, bowed to Dan, and then took the ten paces as usual. “Ready whenever you are, Sychev.” She smiled sweetly at the boy. "...Age before beauty." She poked her tongue out at him and then waited for his first move.

He hadn’t heard a counter-spell, good. One more distraction and then to work, he target the spell just a little past the half-way point. A cobra would do nicely, “Serpensortia!”

Dan paced away from Ems and bowed. Smiling as he straightened up, he hated making the first move. " Seems how i have both, i guess that means i go first " Dan said in response to Ems and like wise he stuck out his tounge. With a swift move of his wand Dan moved first " Impedimenta! " but even after he said it , he thought it was failry useless as Ems wasnt really running at him , o well...

Cassandra saw the snake. Normally she wouldn't be so nervous, a few hisses to the snake, and sent it running back to the caster... but her tongue was still stuck to the roof of her mouth.

She turned her wand to her throat thinking, Finite Incatetum! Finite Incatetum! Finite Incatetum! Finite Incatetum! Finite Incatetum! Come on!!! Finite Incatetum!

Now to work, the prodigious amount of hair that was still growing from his body was making it difficult to stand because of the sheer weight of it all. First his counter-spell,a quick shaving charm, cast without speaking the words aloud, applied to his body would take care of that, his eyebrows would grow back. He braced himself against the force of the wind. “Rego Tempestas!” The violent wind blew around him whipping the loose hair into a large ball, then with a wave of his wand he sent it flying at the Prefect.

Joseph walked into the room. he'd finally worked up the courage to challenge someone to duel. Joseph was curious, he watched a pair duel. He notcied that the gil was paralyzed, he followed her eyes and saw a snake. He was instantly enraptured by the duel, watching intently.

Emily merely raised an eyebrow at Dan’s comment. 'Yeah-her.. in his dreams.' She adjusted her stance and waited for him to attack. “Protego!” She yelled, blocking his spell as it came flying her way. She acted quickly and sent “Furnunculus!” back at him. Lets see who’s prettier now..

Rhiannon scrunched her nose up a little. Referring to Amelia, she says, "Yeah, you might have overdone it. Just a little." She watches as he goes over to get ready to duel and is slightly thrown when he asks about her stance. "My stance?" SHe looks down for a minute, as if uncertain what she was doing. "Oh. I've dabbled a bit in a Muggle sport called fencing. I guess it's crossed over into this."

Dan was slow to react, his mind on other things and he took the full force of Ems spell which nocked him backwards slighlty. Dan somehow knew his tounge in cheek comment about whos prettier would come back to haunt him, as boils spouted on his face, getting to his feet he smiled slighlty " atleast you cant see the scar on my cheek now " Dan with a wave of his wand removed the boils , one of the few counter curses he knew, moving more quickly this time "Rictusempra"

Joseph whipped his head around to the pair about to duel. The girl had mentioned fencing. Fencing was his favorite sport, he played fencing very well and was interested in the girl. His entire stance was based around fencing, he found it easy to swish and flick his wand in the fencing stance. Now, he was very intrested.

The hair came hurtling at her, but hit the snake that was getting ready to strike her. Both spells disappeared. She smirked. Her tongue was starting to loosen. The spell was wearing off or maybe her Finite spell did work a little. She growled to loosen her tongue more. It worked!

"Furnunculus!" was the first word out of her mouth as she brought her wand around behind her in a graceful display.

Emily giggled as boils erupted all over Dan’s face. “That's a vast improvement, Sychev.” She retorted. She was distracted temporarily by her urge to say something witty to Dan. “Gah!” She yelled at the tickling charm came her way. She jumped out of the way at the very last minute. Ems HATED being tickled. It was a good job it missed. She took a moment to regain her composure and then cast “Expelliarumus!” with a swift flick of her wand.

Dan watched his spell miss Ems by inches, He had very little time to react to the spell sent his way, not quick enough to cast a shield charm he instead dodged out of the way, to his suprise it hit the mirror behind him and sent itself straight back at his caster, With a grin Dan straightened himself up " Your supposed to be cursing me , not sending them at yourself Greenwood " he said smirking, he didnt count that as his go, wether or not Ems thought it was , and Dan moved quickly " Everte Statum"

Stupid snake. “Protego totalum!” That spell would deal with the boils, what was it with her and wanting to change how he looked. Over whelming her that was the key. He doubted that she would make the same mistake again so he had to improvise a little. “Multiplicus Stupefy!” Perhaps the multiple stuns would be enough.

Emily frowned as her own spell came hurtling back towards her. “Protego!” She shouted sounding a bit panicked. What were the chances of that happening? She glared at Dan as he sent another spell her way, one which she didn’t recognise. Unable to act quickly enough and block it, she darted out of the way. Emily’s spells may be weak, but due to her small size and skinny frame, she was pretty nimble on her feet. She came to a halt towards Dan‘s left hand side. She pointed her wand at his mouth “Langlock!” She yelled.

"Repulsum!!!" She said just in time. The spell rebounded off the mirror like charm and reflected it towards him. Hit him... HIT HIM!!! she thought at she watched the spell go... technically it was his spell, she still had to counter... She grinned. "Levicorpus!"

Dan grinned slightly as Ems had to deal with two spells, she seemed to dodge them easily, which itself was a problem, Dan could see this duel going only one way, and that was in Ems favour. He sent a tounge tying curse his way and quicker this time Dan moved his wand " nox " ... no wait thats not right he thought to himself and seconds later after his slip up he felt his tounge rise and curl up to the roof of his mouth and glue itslef there, a little frustrated with himslef for mixing up his spells Dan made a noise sumwere between a grunt and a yell, gazing at Ems for her to lift the curse.

Josh nodded as he thought he had seen it before." Yes, i thought it look familiar. I've done a few fencing tournaments." he told her as he then moved to his stance." Ready?" he asked as he then sent ropes her direction."Incarcerous!"

Emily watched as her spell hit Dan full on in the face. The corners of her mouth curled up into a satisfied smirk as the poor boy struggled to speak. She pocketed her wand and dashed over to him, quickly casting “Finite” She patted him gently on the back. “You alright there Sychev?”, her face now filled with concern.

Joseph had just watched the two people duel. He started clapping and walked up, feeling skittish again. "T-that was an interesting d-duel. It s-seemed to go either w-way at f-first." of course, he was stutturing, why wouldn't he, he just hoped the two wouldn't blow him off. "May I challenge on of ou two to my very first duel?"

The time it took Ems to dash over allowed Dan time to calm down , she then lifted the curse. " yeah fine Ems " he said with a small smile " just a litttle case of langlock " Dan was still in his mind cursing himself for mixing up his spells. " are we calling it a day there or can we carry on ? " He was kind of hoping they would carry on, but he couldnt escape the fact that Ems had kind of won that round.
