| | |  Hufflepuff Common Room
The still life portrait slides back into place behind you and you find yourself standing in a warm, welcoming underground room. The room is decorated in the Hufflepuff house colours, and gathered around the large fireplace are several huge, plump sofas which resemble fluffy clouds. There are lots of comfortable armchairs scattered around for you to rest your weary bodies in.
A long table sits in the brightest part of the room (torches are lit all day long) for the students who would rather do their homework in here.
Portraits of past well known Hufflepuffs hang on one wall, among them are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks who died in the dark days of You-Know-Who's power. Remember and honour them as you walk to or from your dormitories.
Two perfectly round, barrel top doors are positioned on opposing sides of the common room. They both open to reveal underground tunnels which will lead you to your common rooms; boys on the right, girls on the left. | |

Curt smiled, and even laughed slightly when Savannah mentioned Alexis's teasing. "Oh no worries, Alexis means well in the end...hopefully." Curt said, jokingly. He had put up with Alexis and her stunts for long enough and he was more than used to them, he found them quite comical nowadays.
Curts pulse started to escalate as he finally laid eye's on the mysterious pet that Savannah had been talking about, and shook his head in disbelief and excitement. "SAVANNAH! This is TOO cool!" he said, his voice ringing around the room. A badger, Hufflepuff....it was only fate that Savannah came into contact with this little critter, and Curt smiled at the thought of it. Once Savannah mentioned its name, Curt smiled even wider. "Rabid!! Oh that's great! Blaylock must here about it now." Curt said in serene excitement, as the tiny little badger was obviously named after the Hufflepuff Quidditch slogan from last year, that Professor Blaylock managed to come up with. Nodding as to how they lived around serpents, Curt laughed. "I see now. Hogwarts..." He was almost surprised now that he couldn't figure it out. "When are you taking it down to Professor Clark?" Curt said excitedly, he really wanted to go with her too.
Turning now to Ray, Curt smiled. "Oh that's cool. Yeah you'll have to tell me all about it." he said with a definate nod. That guy was always up to something extrordinary.

Amelia was still simply overwhelmed and ecstatic when Vannah said she could hold the baby badger. She watched as the fourth year carefully repositioned Rabid in her arms, and the sixth year picked the baby badger up and cradled him. She smiled at the name, knowing full well that the name originated from last year's quidditch team.
"Aren't you just adorable?" the Prefect said specifically to the badger, in a baby voice, as she stroked his back. She looked back up at Vannah and smiled, "You seem to have done a lot of research on badgers," she giggled softly.
"I can't imagine Professor Clark making you send the poor thing away. That would be so cruel!" Amelia exclaimed, already formulating a plan in her head of what to argue with Clark about. "And of course I will come with you - I couldn't let you go by yourself," she said, smiling encouragingly at Vannah. She knew that Rabid was like a blessing in disguise and would surely boost house morale. Blaylock would have to be notified - she should be pleased with this news. Quote:

Austin walked into the common room with his usual smirk on his face. His sister Misty had wrote him with her 'choice words' because of him dating her best friend. He found it extremly funny she hated him that much but her friend was really funny, and extreamly cute. He missed her a lot. But what he really missed was his skateboard. He flumped onto the couch.

She knew that Rabid was like a blessing in disguise and would surely boost house morale. Blaylock would have to be notified - she should be pleased with this news.
Amelia was still holding Rabid, petting him ever so gently, when it seemed as though Rapunzel had awoken from a little nap. She giggled softly at the Third Year's reaction to the badger. "Yes Rapunzel. A badger... and I know, he's adorable. Want to pet him?" she offered, not ready to give up holding the creature just yet.
"Of course I would like to pet him!" Rapunzel replied, beaming at the Prefect. She wasn't too sure of her badger-babying-abilities, but she was good friends with her sister's cat Won-Won. How different was an ickle badger?
Rapunzel slowly approached the little bundle in Amelia's arms and then gently zoomed in on the little creature. She raised her thin index finger and softly stroked the baby badger on one of its little paws hanging out of the blanket. Its fur was so soft, like down, and so wonderously striped. Rapunzel grinned at Amelia and then gently petted the badger on the strip of fur between its eyes and down to its little nose.
She took a step back before speaking again. "Wow, Savannah, you must've worked wonders on this little baby," she winked. "He's already domesticated, and much more behaved than some pets I know..."

~Lauren-Brooke walked down the steps from the girls dormitory. She didn't bother with her school uniform just had her pjs on and some slippers. She read the book in her hand as she walked down the steps tripping on the last one. She caught herself before she fell and walked straight to a chair curling up into the chair and began reading agian. ~ | |
