| | |  Hufflepuff Common Room
The still life portrait slides back into place behind you and you find yourself standing in a warm, welcoming underground room. The room is decorated in the Hufflepuff house colours, and gathered around the large fireplace are several huge, plump sofas which resemble fluffy clouds. There are lots of comfortable armchairs scattered around for you to rest your weary bodies in.
A long table sits in the brightest part of the room (torches are lit all day long) for the students who would rather do their homework in here.
Portraits of past well known Hufflepuffs hang on one wall, among them are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks who died in the dark days of You-Know-Who's power. Remember and honour them as you walk to or from your dormitories.
Two perfectly round, barrel top doors are positioned on opposing sides of the common room. They both open to reveal underground tunnels which will lead you to your common rooms; boys on the right, girls on the left. | |

Finally, Curt made his way into the common room after practicing on the Quidditch Pitch for a few hours, he couldn't be rusty when the try-outs came around. Inhaling the warm atmosphere of the common room, Curt smiled because this place was very much his second home.
At first sight, Curt noticed alot of unfamiliar faces, especially first years. Curt walked over to his favorite chair by the fire and sat down, getting comfy. Curt thought of classes suddenly and let out a quick sigh, as he was really ready to get with his academics yet, but the time would come, eventually. Looking back behind him, Curt wondered where Savannah and all of his friends were. Shrugging slightly as he didn't spot any of them, Curt pulled out his Quidditch magazine and read the last few pages of an article he had been meaning to finish.

Looking to the fireplace, Curt noticed Tiger and smiled, figuring that Savannah was nearby. Turning around, Curt spotted Savannah talking to the interesting third year, Ray. A smile spread across his face and he walked up to Tiger and patted him on the head saying, "Hey buddy."
Walking up to Savannah and Ray, Curt smiled and instantly thought of the creature that Savannah had been meaning to show him. "Hey, sorry I just got back from the Quidditch Pitch," Curt said, with a guilty smile. Curt nodded to Ray, "Hey Ray, how was your summer?" he said with start-of-the-year warmness. No longer being able to hold back the urge, Curt turned to Savannah with a wry smile, "So, can I see it now?" Curt said referring to the mysterious creature that Savannah was keeping around here. His excitement was obviously showing through, and Curts gaze shifted to the corners of the room in pursuit of this creature.

Nicole smiled slightly as she saw Suzy sitting on the couch. She started wondering if Suzy would even remember her. Of course Nicole wasn't exactly the type of person people remember, but she had been friends with Suzy before. Nicole walked over to the couch and said, "Hey Suzy." She wasn't sure who the person sitting beside her was, but she looked new to the school.

Nicole laughed a bit when she realized how long it took Suzy to realize who she was. But then again, she expected it. No one ever remembered her usually and she just blended in with the crowd.
