The still life portrait slides back into place behind you and you find yourself standing in a warm, welcoming underground room. The room is decorated in the Hufflepuff house colours, and gathered around the large fireplace are several huge, plump sofas which resemble fluffy clouds. There are lots of comfortable armchairs scattered around for you to rest your weary bodies in.
A long table sits in the brightest part of the room (torches are lit all day long) for the students who would rather do their homework in here.
Portraits of past well known Hufflepuffs hang on one wall, among them are Cedric Diggory and Nymphadora Tonks who died in the dark days of You-Know-Who's power. Remember and honour them as you walk to or from your dormitories.
Two perfectly round, barrel top doors are positioned on opposing sides of the common room. They both open to reveal underground tunnels which will lead you to your common rooms; boys on the right, girls on the left. | |

Walking into the common room Jayden walked clumsliy to the fire. Every few steps a cough or a sneeze would erupt from her mouth. You could say she was sick... She was bundled quite tightly in a jacket that looked much to big for her. Her whole head seemed to be covered in the jacket. She sank into a chair wanting to get comfortable. She just couldnt with her sickness.

Seeing a boy looking at her pathetically Jayden sighed. She knew she looked bad but now people were gawking at her. She cooted closer to the fire and away from other people. Just in case they were aorried about catching anything. She wasnt contagious but she didnt want them to worry. SHe snuggled in her jacket but it was still freezing. Taking out her wand she pointed it at the pillow. "Fabrica blanket." she said hoarsely. Magically it appeared as a one and she wrapped herself into it. She smiled. Now this was comfy.
