"If there are so many horcruxes around, it makes sense that he would be alive, right?" Emma asked as she raised her hand. This whole lesson was confusing her, but she was pretty sure she was right. |
Qaz shook her head in disbelief. Alive for 1500 years. Splitting yourself into that many pieces. She just couldn't wrap her head around it. |
Rhiannon looked thoughtful. That many horcruxes . . . how could someone do something like that to themselves? She had never really understood how people could stand to do everything necessary for the creation of Horcruxes. And the thought of St. Patrick as the ancestor of You-Know-Who . . . actually, that made a weird sort of sense, given everything else the professor was saying. She had slipped the chocolate into her bag, figuring she'd find a way to test it before eating it. With everything going on, and the theory she had talked about with Josh about chocolate and the student transformations, she wasn't going to trust that candy. |
Rebecca looked puzzled "But professor, the only way he could be alive is if he had a philosophers stone! or if he made so many horcuxes that he would never die! but that isn't likely, is it?" |
Rhiannon looked over as a Hufflepuff spoke up. "Is there an established record as to how many Horcruxes can be made by one person? Because having a philosopher's stone is pretty unlikely too, I would think." She had spoken before thinking again, and looked down at her notes once she finished, unsure of how it was going to be taken. |
Rebecca smiled at the Ravenclaw "Thats what i'm trying to say thanks for backing up my argument and confirming what i am enquiring about" |

"Ah, there we go. Good girl, Rhiannon. You ask the right question. I think, with him being the first to make such a thing, he didn't know the limits. I think he split himself one too many times... Now, no doubt bits of him are still floating about. I like to think it's ole Saint Patty when I get an urge to do something devious." Lainey laughed. "I firmly believe he lives in a few of you, too! His that little green devil on some of your shoulders telling you to hex your enemies, or cheat on an exam." "So... to me.... that only leaves one thing left to do. Let's go leprechaun hunting on the grounds!" Lainey grinned, hopped off her desk, and went to open the door to her classroom. "Everyone grab a cloak and follow me! ooc: Class will continue in the link above! |
Finn loved this part of the class. He grabbed his Huffie yellow lined cloak and smiled following the professor. |
Lainey brought her class back to the classroom, where she shed her vibrant green cloak and hopped on top of her desk. She was grinning from ear to ear. "You all look tired. How about I give you homework and we call it a day?" Lainey waved her wand at the board, and homework appeared. Quote:
"Take your chocolate with you, darling! Bought it myself." Or Alec had. What a doll he was. They didn't need to know that. "Hope someone enjoyed class..." Lainey had her doubts from their faces. Ah well. Can't win them all... |
Once Rhiannon arrived back in class, she took a piece of parchment out of her bag and quickly wrote down the homework. She figured she'd make a stop up at her dorm, and then head back out to investigate some more. The homework could wait for a while. As long as she got it in on time, she would be fine. |
Qaz followed the Professor back to the classroom and copied down the homework assignment after it was written on the board. All in all, a very strange class, but it sure wasn't boring. She gathered up her things and headed back to the dorm. |
Dia headed back to the classroom and wrote down the homework, stuffing everything back into her duffel bag. "Thank you very much, Professor--your classes are always highly fascinating." she smiled, as this was true, and made her way out the door. |
Slinging the strap of her schoolbag over her shoulder, Rhiannon gets ready to leave class. Hearing what the Slytherin says, she grins. "I agree with her, Professor. Your classes are definitely fascinating." |
"I really enjoyed class today professor" Rebecca smiled and she scribbled the homework down smiling, she then put her bag in her back and walked calmly out |
Fascinating. Yes, that was it. Heading back into the class, Shel packed up his belongings in silence. Homework... Yes, he had that to look 'forward' to, now. He smiled slightly at the Professor as he left. "Different is the word, Professor," he said, smiling. "Your class was differently enchanting, you know. Pretty . . . historical." He grinned as he left, shaking his head a little. |
