History of Magic Office The walls had actually remained blue for a few terms. Even the ceiling had somehow got painted blue. It was fabulous to Lainey and she had a certain Slytherin or two to thank for it. Her office was decorated with a plethora of books and knicknacks, ungraded papers, and costumes she used for her classes. A few baby toys were strewn about from when she kept Rae's girls on the occasion. But, by far, her most prized possession was a picture of Rae and herself at Auror training camp so many years ago. It was front and center of her desk for all to see. As you enter the office, Lainey is sitting at her desk writing out plans for her first lesson of the term. Her bucket of peppermints sits near her hand, as does her wand. |
Evangeline Hermione walked up to the class door and Knocked. She waitd for a reply. |
Nancy had been wandering through Hogwarts and, who hadn't expect this, she'd got lost. After some time she finally spotted a young girl standing in front of a door. Nancy approached her and read the sign on the door. "History of Magic...well why not?" She thought and introduced herself to the young girl. "Hi, I'm Nancy. Are you also waiting for the History of Magic teacher?" |
Evangeline Hermione turned at the sound of a voice and found there was a young girl about the same age next to her. "Hi,i'm Evangeline Hermione and yes im waiting for the History of magic teacher. I'm walking around to all the teachers and introducing myslef and getting to know everyone. Whats your favourite lessons? Mine are D.A.D.A and Quidditch" She said smilling to the girl. |
Professor Lainey hopped up out of her chair to answer her door. "Hey girls. Come on in." She opened her door wide to allow access. "You two having a good term so far?" |

Evangeline Hermione towards the door at the sound of a voice. she was face to face with the History of magic teacher. Hitachi was most interested in History, so he tried to find the office of the teacher for history of magic, in order to ask a question... Hitachi knocked on the office door of Professor Lainey. When he entered, he gave a formal greet with a bow then proceeded to ask his question. "Professor, when will the next class start for History of Magic?" |
"I'm glad to hear that girls. Sometimes the first years have a hard time getting started... so it's good to hear that things are going so well for you both." Lainey smiled to them both and waved to some chairs if they planned on staying. She then turned to Hitachi. "Ah. I think we'll try to have a lesson tomorrow. You planning on coming?" |
Hitachi felt a jolt of excitement. "Why of course professor! I will spread the word if it is confirmed that tomorrow is the next lesson. I am quite happy with the news, I look forward to this class most exceptionally. This has made my day I dare say. I will leave you alone professor, I don't mean to be a bother, good bye!" Hitachi said delightfully. He then proceeded to the Slytherin Common room to give out the news to the history lovers, him included. |
Lainey laughed. "Well alright then. I'll see you tomorrow! Get a good nice sleep! You'll need it!" |
Maya knocked 2 times on the door, precariously holding a bag of mint-chocolate muffins and a mug of coffee. "I hope the coffee isn't too cold yet... I wouldn't want it to be too bitter." She mumbled to herself, watching to make sure that the muffins didn't fall from her hand. She also watched the coffee to make sure that it didn't spill on her expensive, designer skirt and shoes. |
"Come on in!" Lainey hurried to the door once more. This time, she just propped it open."Oh hey Maya! Good to see you! You need a hand there?" |
I was walking towards Professor Lainey's office. I wans't sure if the professor was in.. I was polite and knocked on the door 2 times. I wanted to ask her if the rumor I heard was correct and the Professor's class was starting on the 14th.. I knocked again , Professor Lainey are you there? |
"Hey, Professor. It's good to see you too. No, it's okay...This is for you..." Maya mumbled, placing it on her desk, being sure to not place the coffee and muffins on top of the papers. She placed it carefully and tapped the mug with her wand to make sure that the coffee stayed warm. "Chocolate Mint muffins, and coffee. Enjoy, Professor Lainey." Maya grinned, presenting them in a rather nice way. |
"Well goodness gracious, Maya," Lainey said, opening the door to another student. She beckoned them on in. "What on earth did I do to deserve this? It's such a treat!" Lainey bounced over to her desk and took in the sweet aroma of the coffee and muffins. "I love mint. Did you know?" |
"Oh, it wasn't any trouble. And of course, I knew." Maya grinned, sitting down on a stool she had pulled over. She grinned and plucked a mint to her mouth from the professor's desk. She grinned. "After all, why else would these awesome mints be here?" Maya winked. |
"Observant. Ah, the trait of a Ravenclaw," Lainey smiled, taking a seat herself. She bit into a muffin and washed it down with the delicious coffee. "Did you come up here just to bring me goods and make me fat?" Lainey laughed, offering a muffin to Maya. "Or to visit?" |
Maya chuckled, graciously accepting a muffin. "A bit of both." She said, looking around and observing. "I see the little girls are well off here." She said, sinking her teeth into the muffin. It was warm and a bit sticky. "Watch out, now, these are a bit sticky..." She mumbled, taking another bite and being careful to not touch anything else. |
Lainey snorted and crumbs went everywhere. She knew it would. "So how was your break? Excited about a new year? And... these are delicious, Maya. Merlin." |
Sana halted in front of the door. She had not see the prof. for long time. She decided to go and have a talk with her. She knocked the door and waited for the response. |
"It's open!" Lainey called. "Come on in!" If Lainey wasn't frequently up to no good in her office, she would have just taken her door out so students could come and go at will. |
Sana entered the office with her casual elegance. She smiled and said, "Thank you Professor" Prof. seemed bit free to talk for sometime. "I just wanted to ask your well being since I've not seen you for long time and I have a doubt too.." she said with her smile still on her face. |
"Oh I am doing wonderfully, Sana. Quite wonderfully. Maya just brought me muffins and coffee." Lainey smiled as if she'd never been more delighted before."Have a seat, have a muffin, and.... tell me of this doubt, hun?" |
Sana smiled. "Thank you professor, and I'm glad too" her eyes were on the peppermint bucket which was sitting on the table quietly. "Erm...If you dont mind, can I have some peppermint instead of muffins, prof.?" she asked. And after she seated she spoke, "I've read a magical story in my own language, means in my mother tounge, named Vikram and Vetal . I just wanted to know that whether you're familiar with that stories.." |
