Lining the classroom were various plants, from cacti to ferns. Some shined and shimmered, some seemed waxy, others were just... plants. As far as that went, anyhow. Each of them (except for the ferns) was currently blossoming, which meant for a rather colorful classroom.
Erikson opened the classroom to awaiting students at last, once he was sure that everything was set and healthy. "Welcome, everyone. Please come in, take a seat. Place your konkagami or lily before you, if you could, unless you received further instruction from me on your plant."

Amelia had been trying to focus on her plant, but then her mind just stopped suddenly at hearing that her suspicions had been confirmed. Blaylock - Hufflpuff Head of House was indeed preggers. She made a mental note to congratulate the woman later. Until - she froze again. Marco? A father? What was this world coming to?
She heard the homework assignment and quickly wrote it down. Before looking back to see that Ms Strong-and-Independent Slytherin Prefect appeared to be having a meltdown. To taunt or to help - that is the question. Helping was definitely one of her strengths, although the slytherin would undoubtedly refuse. She sighed and approached the girl anyway. "Chocolate?" she asked, holding out a chocolate frog for the prefect. It always made her feel better.

She took a step back, but kept her eyes on the girl. "Uh Trelawney? Can I get you anything? A drink - perhaps?"
