Herbology Lesson Three: Enhanced Journaling Techniques Lining the classroom were various plants, from cacti to ferns. Some shined and shimmered, some seemed waxy, others were just... plants. As far as that went, anyhow. Each of them (except for the ferns) was currently blossoming, which meant for a rather colorful classroom. Erikson opened the classroom to awaiting students at last, once he was sure that everything was set and healthy. "Welcome, everyone. Please come in, take a seat. Place your konkagami or lily before you, if you could, unless you received further instruction from me on your plant." ooc: please describe your konkagami, if there is anything of it left, as you enter the classroom |
Cassandra walked into the class, and this time, for the first time, sat in the back row, and didn't greet the professor. |
Marco sheepishly entered the Herbology classroom, his arms snuggled around his dead plant. He hoped if he wrapped his arms around it, Erikson wouldn't see that he had killed it. He avoided the teacher's glance and took a seat at the back, placing the plant in front of him, his head lowered. |
Kayla walked into the classroom carrying her Konkagami which to her surprise was alive and thriving well. It had bloomed into a bright orange flower with a tinge of red on the outer layers. As she walked passed Erikson she gave him a nod and headed straight for the back of the classroom. She noticed Prefect Trelawney was already there so she sat a few seats away from her. |
Apedemak nodded to Professor Erickson as his unhurried stride carried him into the class room, before sweeping his golden eyes around the room looking for his Prefect. Seeing her in the back of the room he titled his head to side, an oddly bird-like gesture. After a moment he moved to take a seat next to her. "Prefect Trelawney. A pleasure to see you as always." |
Xana entered the classroom and took a seat, holding a closed box carefully in her arms. |
Diabolica loped into the classroom, cradling a tiger lily in her arms carefully. She sighed and took a seat near the back, awaiting class to begin. |

Willow entered quietly in the Herbology classroom, only carrying her messenger bag with her. Her Konkagami had died a couple days ago, and she was not planning to tell this to the professor, even if she was sure that he was going to notice it eventually. She was not surprised by this, though. Willow and plants were not exactly best friends, so the fact that the Konkagami had lasted 2 days, was quite an accomplishment for her. What could she do? She sucked at Herbology "Hello Professor Erikson", She muttered quietly, before taking a seat in the very back of the classroom, as usual. |
Claudian sat looking at his konkagami plant. Despite having chopped it with the pruning scissors, it bloomed, sprouting off strange trailing orchids that seemed to weep in that emo-like fashion. |
Alandra walked into the classroom, cradling a flourished plant in her arms as she walked in. "Good afternoon Professor." She smiled before she took her seat. She notited Prefect Trelawney a few chairs down from her and nodded a 'hello.' She sat and waited for class to begin. |
Erikson looked at the time, then glanced about the classroom. "Alright, I'll give students a little bit longer to enter. I see there are a few that should be assigned the amore in future care classes. Goodness, Marco... you were supposed to get help with your plant. Willow, where is yours?" |
James stared at his tall, slender plant, trying to get something out of it. Purple flowers didn't quite relate to him. Neither did black and red petals. |
Vannie came into the classroom, clutching an unsuccessfully grown plant in her hands. That was embarrasing considering her mother collected plants. Keeping her eyes focused on where she was going the hufflepuff took a seat in the middle of the room, placing the plant in front of her. |
Hermy entered the classroom, with a flourishing plant held in her arms. Hermy was rather proud of the result, even if the colours of the petals were slightly...well, drab. They were a pale beige-tan at the centre of the bloom, that faded out to a dusty teal colour at the tips. A few small flecks of navy were also scattered around. She didn't realise plants could be tan coloured, but she guessed that was something to do with its relation to her. She placed the pot on the desk in front of her, and pulled out her writing supplies. |

Heather who had already been seated sat mourning the death of her plant which was in front of her and black. It had died in a small fire she had accidently started and she didn't want to discuss it. |
Cassandra nodded back towards Alandra Lee. She pulled her Konkagami plant out and placed it in front of her. Its color a bright green with a light tan band around the bud. the tips seemed to have been dipped with red. |
Oh no. Now professor Erikson was addresing to her, in front of the entire class. This could not be more embarrasing. The Ravenclaw bit her lip in embarrasement. "Er-- My plant sort of died, Professor... " Well, it didn't sort of died. It had died. Great |
Kayla looked around the classroom and noted that most of the students that were entering were carrying dead plants and looked down at hers and smiled smugly. Well at least she had kept her's alive that was one accomplishment for this class she never thought she'd have. She looked over at Prefect Trelawney's Konkagami and noticed the colours of hers, she too had red on the outer layers. I wonder what....nevermind Kayla thought. |
Dead and dying plants... he swore there were little anguished screams of pain around him. His poor plants! "Alright, let's get started, shall we? Can someone tell me why we would want to journal the growth of our plants?" |
Claudian raised his hands, "To monitor the responses of the plants, Professor." He added. "It would help you to determine what techniques are working and which are not for the specific plant you are working with." |
"To see how they change?" Marco asked, in a sort of reply. He really was useless at these things. |
Ignoring the fact of her near dying plant, which was crying out for some life Vannie raised her hand. "Would we journel the growth of our plants so that if we come to grow the plant againt that we would know of any mistakes that we could correct?" |
Alandra petted her Konkagami, she was quite proud at how it turned out. It was a bright blue color with white tips and spawned from a purple stem. |
