"Hey man..." he said as he smiled at him." Im doing brilliant thanks. How are you?" he asked. He then remebered something he had been meaning to ask,' So how did you hear anything back about quidditch?"



Josh chuckled as he added," You know what... this is creature class so im afraid your about to get into some trouble. " he couldnt wait to see this. Class was going to be brilliant...besides its normal brilliantness. " Hey Sana this is alex. Alex this is sana." he said introducing the two.

Dia smiled at Claudian and nodded to him. "Good day, Claudian...hope you're doing well?"

"Im ok, looking for a girlfriend at the moment though, I just cant find any girls, hardly anyone wants the french dude." Alex sighed and put his hand through his hair. "Not yet, no but I caught the quaffle thrice, thats good right? After a while all the wizzing gave me a headache." Alex rolled his eyes and smirked.

Alex looked at the girl and smiled, "Hiya! Nice to meet you Sana." He gave her quite a nervous smile but laughed it off.

Christian gave Joseph a warm smile. "Hey Joseph! Hmmm...I don't think he has. No no, this would be his first time doing a lesson on snakes."

His eyes shot to the desk that was being occupied, by Lyra. He smirked, "Hmm, I really don't have much choice in the matter do I?" he raised an eyebrow as she sat down anyway, without him giving an answer. Like he could say no though, Lyra was his partner-in-crime, though trying something in Fabian's class might not be a good idea.

"May I ask who this is?" Joseph was referring to the girl that sat next to Christian. he towered over her, but she didn't seem to mind. She was actually quite beautiful if you thought about it.

A few seats over from where she was seated, Rhiannon heard Josh talking to some other students, who she thought were Slytherins. Turning her head slightly, she peers around Amelia, who was being really quiet right now. She hadn't even responded to the comment Rhiannon had made to her earlier. Yup, look like more Slytherins, she thinks. She wasn't making any decisions on their character, since the only Slytherin she had ever really talked to was Josh, but she was starting to be able to tell them apart from students from the other houses.

Alexis looked up to the front of the class and saw a yellow snake, this made her excited as she had only just brought a pet snake before coming to Hogwarts

Josh looked over at the girl who had this 'briliant' idea to bring snakes in so that the lions could eat them. Yeah.. May he remind her that one... that they did win the house cup last year. And of course two... slytherins werent the ones in third place. which by the way.. was second last. " Excuse me." he said smiling at her." I think we should... i think basilisk would love to eat the lions. I mean..they are really small. You'd be done in really fast." he smiled at the girl. Two could play." Im Josh moonson by the way." he then gave the girl a friendly smile.

"Im sure your find a great one. You should probably speak french a bit more. French is actually rather popular." he told him as a suggestion. It was. The last time he used french it worked quite well for him." It happens to everyone." he told him." so what do you think we are doing with this lesson."

Rhiannon breaks into Josh's conversation at his last question. "Well, I'd guess we're gonna learn something about snakes," she says with a grin.

Emma hovered around a small corner of the group, almost completely hidden due to her lack of height. She peered around as best she could, looking for her friends, but took a seat after spotting no one who looked familiar.

"'ello 'ello" Fabian beamed at the students as he leaned on his desk facing the class as he waited for the students to settle down.

Still eying the serpents, she came up with an idea. "Professor, I was thinking, why are we studying about serpents? I think it would be a great idea and bring in a real creature. Like Lions." She said, smirking. "Or better yet, we can bring in the lions today and watch then eat the little snakes."

Fabian broke into a chuckle, "That sounds like a debatable idea, I'll ponder over it if we still have an audience at the end of class" he mused over the inter-house challenge students carried.


"Alright" he clasped both of his hands in mid air, "Lets get the class started" he eyed a few talkative students before continuing "Today we'll be covering the basic need to know knowledge required to handle or care for snakes. Depends on which side of the rope your on, and hopefully if we have time at the end we can have a practical" he mused then crossed his arms across his chest.

"Snakes, our ectothermic friends are loved by many wizards and despised by many others. Some associate them with good, other evil. They are reptiles with a suborder of Serpentes and most modern of reptiles with their first fossil appearance around the dinosaurs age. They evolved to host instinctive behaviors, elongated, developed internal organs, and most importantly possessed magical abilities... So lets start by covering their external features.. can anyone point out a few of their features for me?"

Sana giggled again, "I'm not afraid of that..in any case, Josh, I know I've a superman by my side.." she said"what do you say? I hope you protect me from the venamos snakes.." she grinned and turned to the new Person called Alex.

"Oh, Hi Alex, Nice to meet you, I'm Sana.." she introduced herself too.

She smiled, "Nah, the pleasue is mine.." He seemed bit nervous initially.

"Bonjour." Alex stated in a french posh accent, "Somehow, I dont really think so, speaking french just seems a joke to me more and more these days." Alex paused, "Guten Tag!" and then sighed.

"German dosent suit me either." Alex spoke more german, "Wo wohnst du?"
Alex stopped the changing in language, "Maybe I should just refer to my soft french accent," Alex smirked and answered his question in the soft accent.

"I think, we are going to learn about snakess.., serpentss.." Alex raises his eyebrow asking Josh what he thought on the matter at hand.
Alex nodded at Sana and smiled. He quickly answered the Proffessor, "Umm.. They have scale type skin and shed their skin often, also they lay eggs." Alex didnt seem quite sure, but he knew some things.

"Well, the most obvious one would be their fangs, I suppose," Emma said as she raised her hand.

Issy raised her hand.

"Snakes, unlike mammals and birds, have only a skin covering them, that is always regrowing. As they get longer, they shed their skin to make way for the new, longer skin. Unlike many people think, it's not slimey or dry. It helps to moderate their temperature.

They also have fangs, for killing their prey. Some keep venom sacs up near their fangs that they use as torture and weaponry for killing their prey.

Their most notable feature though, would be their tongues, which are always flickering. A lot of people think this is to scare animals, but they actually smell with their tongues, so that they can judge where their prey is."

Agie noticed that a Slytherin boy was looking amused at her comment. She wasn't expecting this reaction. "I'm sure the Lions would be willing to take them on" She smirked. "Agie" She said returning a smile.

Snakes have scales

Lyra looked at Christian batting her eyelashes. "Nope," she answered his question as she was taking out her books and getting ready for class to begin.

Lyra then heard someone speaking and moved her eyes from side to side afraid to look to see if this person was speaking to her. "I hope you are talking to me, but if you aren't, I'm answering you anyway," she giggled looking back to Christian for a moment.

Before she answered, she looked over to where her uncle was, hoping he might see yet another suitor. She lifted her hand for a nice delicate hand shake. "Lyra. Lyra Noir," she spoke with a slight giggle.

Rhiannon looked back at the front of the room as the professor started class. Raising her hand, she said, "Well, there's the obvious answer of their physical form. Being elongated, and narrow-bodied. And there's the forked tongue."

Agie raised her hand. "Snakes are very Sly professor. Some may say cunning. I have to admit that they have good hunting skills, and use their Venom as a good way at getting prey. Also some can use their strength to weaken prey."

Sana raised her hands and said, "They dont have ears, Professor.." Hoping that her information was right.

Alexis rasied her hand " Miss
The skin of a snake is covered in scales."

Joseph took the girl's hand, and gently shook it. With a grand smile on his face he said, "Well, it is very nice to meet you Lyra. I hope to become close friends in our time at Hogwarts." He released her hand, and maintained his grand smile.

"The most obvious things are they have no legs and are covered in scales."

Marco raised his hand, "Well snakes have external sensors to detect heat coming off a mammal."
