CoMC :: Lesson 1 CoMC Lesson One :: Introduction to Serpentes You enter Care of Magical creatures classroom and find it redecorated with earthy colors and muddy green walls. Desk colors for today's lesson are in a shade of emerald green. Don't fret, its only an illusion. A vivid yellow serpent is projected on the board behind Professor Clark. Its tongue flicks out occasionally, if you look closely its feeding on flying insects. Professor Fabian Clark is leaning on the back wall of the classroom in his custom black robes and fluorescent waterproof boots, with his arms crossed across his chest. His hair is tied up in a neat pony tail and a booming grin plastered on his face. ooc: Class will start at 6pm EST, please keep chatting to a minimum until lesson commences. Thanks! |
Marco bounced into the lesson, sitting right at the front. Directly in front of Fabian. "Good day Sir. Nice to see you again." |
Agie walks into the classroom and looks around in disgust. Emerald green was everywhere, as if the Slytherins didn’t already have big heads; this sure wasn’t going to help. She shrugs it off for now and instead strolls up to the Professor. “Morning Fab.. erm Professor Clark I mean” She said with a cheeky grin. “Hope you’ve recovered from the Quidditch match. We seemed to tire you out a little too easily.” She snickered. Agie’s eyes finally found the serpents. She stared at it in disgust, backing away slowly. She HATED serpents…. |
Jessica entered the classroom looking around, surprised. They would be studying serpents?!? Not something she really enjoyed, but she had to stay anyway. She greeted the professor and sat in the back of the class, getting ready for the lesson. |
Emily wandered into the CoMC classroom. She had been particularly looking forward to this lesson. She grinned back at Professor Clark on the way past, “Hello Professor. How are you today?” She asked him pleasantly. She glanced briefly at the projection, before finding a seat at the back of the room. |
Rebecca walked into the classroom "Professor" she nodded to him as she then caught sight of the snake "Aww, i love snakes" she squealed as she sat down right in front of the hologram beaming happily |
Ray entered the classroom surprised by all the redecorations. A serpent! Ray thought to himself as he placed his hand on his wand and muttered. "Protego!" Placing a shield charm around him. Ray then greeted the profesor and sat in the middle section of the class, and got ready for the lesson. |
Kate walked into the CoMC's class and looked for a space.She looked around,and noticed Emily Greenwood,who she had met not so long ago.She waved at her with a big smile on her face |
"Good day!" Fabian mused at some of the reactions, especially Miss Brandywine's. "I'm doing fine.. thank you!" he addressed the students that pooled in. "Hope your doing the same .. and i dearly hope you didn't forget your dragon hive gloves for today's lesson?" his lips twitched into a smile while his eyes landed on Agie, "you better watch that ego Miss Brandywine or it won't fit into this room after the next match". "Ray" he murmured taking a few steps closer to the Huffelpuff, "you don't have to do that... until the other half of the class" he continued to walk towards the front of the class, "we'll wait for more students before we commence. The other half of our lesson is a practical". |
Saylie entered and sat down near the front. She was slightly worried about this class because she didn't care much for snakes. Actually, they frightened her. But she was just going to have to be brave, Ravenclaw needed the points, so she'd do her best. Even as she came to this conclusion, she felt the color draining from her face as her eyes focused on the great yellow serpent on the board. She forced herself to stay in her seat, hoping that pictures were all that she would see, and no real ones. |
Jessy entered the CoMC class. He wasn't really fond of creatures, but anything that would points on the board would be fine for him. |
Josh walked over to emily," Hello." he said to her as he put his dragon hide gloves." Should be exciting." he told her as he then saw fabian." Hello Professor." josh smiled at him as he waited for class. |
"Good morning professer" said Barry before heading to sit down next to Saylie "Hello Saylie" |
Cassandra smiled as she walked into the classroom. "Professor..." she said nodding to him. |
Excelsior smiles upon entering the classroom. He doesn't see the professor there but takes a seat towards the middle of the classroom. He is excited to see that the topic of this class is going to be serpents, he is fascinated by snakes and is ready to learn more. |
Apedemak strolled in walking in his normal unhurried pace and offered a chaste nod to Katelyn as he passed. Ultimately, he found a seat near Cassandra, ever since the incedent in the garden he had found himself strangely protective of the Slytherin Prefect. “Prefect Trelawney, as always it is good to see you.” |
Ah! First Care of Magical Creatures class of the term. Shel walked in, feeling pretty cheerful, not something he had been feeling much in the past few days, what with the never-ending amounts of homework, and all. He had secured an Outstanding O.W.L in the subject and, that given, he wasn't too edgy or nervous today. He sat down in one of the front rows, glancing at the shades all around him, and shrugged his schoolbag off his shoulder, on to his seat. "Good day, Professor," he said in a good-natured way as he took out his textbook, flipping it open to the chapter on Serpents. Yup, he couldn't wait for the class to begin. |
Mathi walked in and took a seat somewhere around the middle of the classes!She looked around for the professor but didnt find him.She continued to look around the class and then spotted the snakes!"so we'll be studying snakes"she thought to herself |

Juniper walked into the CoMC and sat down. She eyed the snakes eagerly. Snakes were interesting, so she did not mind them. They were not as odd as some creatures, but snakes were much better than cats. Cats were boring. |
Clifford didn't particularly like Care of Magical Creature, but practical work was way better than doing a ton of writing, and so he strolled happily into class. He spotted Excelsior seated toward the middle of the class and took a seat beside his friend. "Snakes, eh?" He muttered, noticing the yellow serpent at the front. "Now this should be interesting." |
Excelsior smiled at Clifford. "Yeah, I've been waiting for this one since I can't remember," he said softly. |
Dan smiled smiled as he heard todays topic and walked over to Ems " Greenwood " he said with a slight grin, todays lesson should be good. " Hi Josh " he said in the boys direction. |
