Oppugno, Excelsior didn't know that spell but it sounded like fun. He held his wand and concentrated very hard, pronouncing the word as Professor Pride had said it, oh-PUG-noh. To his delight, a beautiful red fox suddenly shot out of his wand, that had been the animal he had been concentrating on.

This really was a great class.

Laylee smiled at the birds, excited to try the spell. Laylee was very confident in her Transfiguration skills, and she thought she could do it. Laylee thought hard about the animal she wished to make. "Oppugno!" Laylee said loudly. A small light brown bunny emerged from her wand. But when she looked closer she realized it was uneven and odd. One of its ears were much shorter and it had no whiskers or a tail. Laylee smiled and pet it. 'Oh well I guess you cant always get it the first time...'
She tried once again, thinking specifically what it should look like. "Oppugno!" A proportionate light grey bunny came out of the end of her wand and Laylee smiled to herself. She wasnt sure why she picked a bunny; she thought it would be easy to do such a simple animal...

Cassandra smiled at the professor's point deduction from the Griffindor. This was going to be Slytherin's year.

She pointed her wand and said "Oppugno!" She wasn't really getting the hang of it. She was flicking her wand to the right... "Professor? Am I doing the wand movements wrong?"

Krissy sank down into her chair. She was a top point earner and now she was losing points? Great. Pulling out her quill she started taking notes in earnest determined to get those points back and then some.
ooc: My computer didn't load the pages correctly and I missed where the professor spoke! Sorry Gryffs!

"Start the movement gently and then finish with a firm flick, it may work better for you that way."

Taylie walked over to Kristyn. "Hey do you want to work on this spell together." she said sitting down next to her.

"Yeh sure you want to work with someone who loses the house points?" Krissy said sulkily pulling out her wand. "I think my watch is wrong and now Gryffindor has to pay for it with five points!" She sighed upset with herself.

Rebecca tried not to cheer but to concentrate on her work "Oppugno" nothing happened but Rebecca felt hopeful but realised nothing was going to appear,she sighes and tried again"Oppugno" Rebecca said confidently as a single bird erupted out of her wand "Did you see? I did it" Rebecca gasped enthralled.

"What animal should I conjure? I don't think a dragon would come out... and it's too big to fit in the classroom." Seth couldn't think of the right animal to conjure. "Oppugno!" Nothing. He tried again. And again. And yet again. Nothing happened. Seth grabbed his notes to see what was wrong, and spilled some ink. Suddenly, there were dozens of chameleons in front of him. "How do we make these thing go away? They're everywhere!" Seth was panicking. Just one was enough!

Aschere watched the professor out of the corner of one eye, while she tried practicing the wand movements. "Opugno," she tried, mimicking the professor, but nothing happened.
"Opugno!" she said again, trying to concentrate. Nothing happened.
Sighing, she tried collecting herself. Animal, animal, animal, think animal she said to herself, picturing a...
"Opugno!"
And she grinned wide as a silvery-grey mouse appeared out of thin air and landed with a plop onto her desk.
The mouse seemed to have a mind of its own, unfortunately, and jumped off the desk, running into the thick of the class.
"Oh no, I hope it doesn't get squished!" Aschere said in alarm. "finite!" she cried, hoping dearly that the mouse had disappeared.

ooc: Krissy, it's ok I'm sure no one really minds. You're the top housepoints earner after all

"Hey, cheer up everyone loses a point now and then. There is no one I would rather work with here, in mean, you earned most of those points anyway.". Taylie said picking up her wand. "You are a good student and will try harder next time, right? How about you try the spell first and let's see what happens".

Rebecca suddenly jumped up a chameleon was sat in front of her!"Erm maybe you should try 'finite' like now!!!" Rebecca looked fearfully at the chameleon wishing for it to vanish.

"Finite!" Suddenly, most chameleons were gone, and only one remained. "Thank you and sorry about that." he said to the girl. Seth then tried to focus on controlling the chameleon.

Krissy smiled at Taylie, it was nice having such a good friend. "Aye, I `ave earned a lot of points, I just have to keep getting more!" Picking up her wand she focused on an animal and said "Oppugno!" with all her might. Suddenly a beautiful fawn appeared on her desk sleeping. "Oh! it worked!" she said happily.

Ellie smiled as she pointed her wand.
"Oppugno!" She said with conviction. Suddenly, a little wolf appeared.
She looked at him with a smile.

Tabitha closed her eyes and began to think of what animal she should choose. Maybe a butterfly, she thought. That should be easy enough for now. Concentrating on the image of a single brighlty colored butterfly in her mind, Tabitha pointed her wand and said "Oppugno." Only a flicker of smoke however erupted from her wand. Closing her eyes even tighter this time she said "Oppungo," alittle louder, making sure to pronunce it oh-PUG-noh. Out of her yew wand flew a beautiful golden butterfly. "Ah, yes!" Tabitha exclaimed as she watched her butterfly fly right past the other Gryffindors in the room.

"Wow"! Taylie said when she saw the fawn. "You scare me sometimes how easy this is". Taylie pulled out her wand and pointed it at the table "Oppugno" and a little turtle appeared next to the fawn. "You might want to get rid of your giant animal before she wakes up. Maybe you can conjure something smaller".

Krissy giggled, "Oh she's jest a bairne, she'll do no harm." looking at Taylie's tiny turtle she nodded. "Oh alright. Finite!" She said pointing at the sleeping fawn with her wand.She gave a wistful sigh as the pretty creature disappeared "Ooh look! a butterfly!" Krissy said noticing one of the other student's spell floating by. Turning her attention back to Taylie she whispered, "I don't know how I'm getting this so easily. I have a hard time even pronoucing the words. Bleedin latin sounding words!"she chuckled

Alexis raised her wand excitedly. She loved anything to do with Transfiguration. I should do an easy animal. How about a snail...or a bird or a hamster YES a hamster. After thinking for a moment she cleared throat. "Oppugno" She said waving her wand. Her wand produced a bit of sparks but nothing else happened. Alexis said the spell again, this time giving the wand a firm flick at the end.

A small brown hamster appeared out her wand. "Awesome." She said as she began to play with the hamster.

"Yes Professor." Cassandra began trying the spell again. She flicked her wrist to the right again, taking in consideration the Professor's suggestion. "Oppugno!"

A cobra seemed to ooze out of her wand onto the floor. Cassandra watched it, as she commanded it to dance for her and the class. The snake was majestic and seductively beautiful. It was almost charming her. Cassandra looked at professor pride, then back to Diabolica, Excelsior and Ponessa...

She knew Ponessa knew the hair coloring charm... so she must have done it. But she was sure Diabolica had put her up to it. As for Excelsior... she knew all he did was laugh at her expense... instead of take her side... Cassandra commanded the cobra to move closer to them... she wouldn't attack the three... not with Pride in the room... but she'd try to scare them.

Issy nodded, she didn't like being seperated from Ferra, it was hard enough leaving her while she went to class everyday, "Yeah... I should just trust her right? I just want to know everything will be okay..." Issy smiled weakly and looked back down at her parchment, determined to get on with the lesson.

Tori concentrated hard on an image of her own pet rat, Midnight in her mind. She pointed her wand and said "Oppugno." Nothing happened. She tried again, this time concentrating a little harder and saying "Oppugno" a little firmer. This time, a rat that looked exactly like Midnight erupted from the end of her wand. Tori began trying to control the rat.

"Yes, you have trouble with latin but no problem at all with gaelic. Do you think they would let me keep the turtle, she so cute". Taylie said petting the turtle on the head.

After a while of playing with the bunny, Laylee realized she really could control it. Her bunny suddenly hopped on someones desk, making there papers go everywhere! "Oh, Im sorry! I lost control." Laylee said, her face turning red with embarrasment...

Krissy reached out her hand and gently touched the turtle's shell. "I'd wager not, she's adorable, but jest a spell. Plus you can control her, that hardly sounds right." she said thoughtfully. "Perhaps father Christmas will bring you one this year." Krissy said with a gleam in her eye
