| | |  The Whomping Willow
The Whomping Willow is a ferocious tree planted in the middle of the school grounds. Be careful not to accidentally stumble upon it for it will most likely injure you if you come close to its branches. This tree holds many secrets seeing it has been in the school for many years now. Around the tree is a carpet of attractive landscape that overlooks the entire castle grounds while being surrounded by mountains and the forbidden forest. A few large magically craved stones are scattered around the area for seating purposes. Take a walk, have a picnic or hang around to catch up on studying. Only watch out for those gnomes, they are school property and under no circumstance should they be harmed in anyway. | |

Kate couldn't help this time but laugh out loud, as she turned back to Wednesday. "I never told you," she said still laughing heartily. "You are the only friend I have from our house. The rest of my friends are from Slytherin," she pointed to Camira and Emily.

Katelyn decided to take a walk around...maybe see the sights she had missed last year. She spotted Emily with a few firties, some slytherin and maybe one or two ravvies...she couldnt really tell. She skipped over to the girl, and arrived just in time to hear-was her name Camira- AND Emily say something about half bloods. Katelyn doesnt get mad, but she raised an eyebrow at the girls.
"Oh hello there, Emily and her friends....I'm a half blood!" she said with a wink, and smiled. Calm and serene...calm and serene. Blood...is not an issue...to get mad over. Calm and serene! she repeated over and over in her head, and managed to keep her lovely air of sweetness about her.

Emily was extremely embarrassed that Kate had come over at that presise moment. “M-my dad believes the same thing.. He’d disown me if I fell for a halfblood ..seriously,“ "And he’d kill me if I fell for a mudblood." Emily thought and frowned, but didn’t say it.
She raised an eyebrow, pleased at the new topic of conversation…” Talked to the tree?” She put her hand mockingly against Kate’s forehead to see if she had a temperature. “I seriously worry about you sometimes, Miss Quillio..”

Kateyn looked back at Emily, blinking a few times.
"I totally understand! Thats quite alright...it doesnt bother me in the least," she said, and blinked again before looking back at the tree. In fact, it did bother her, a lot, but she would never admit it. Blood was such an odd topic for her. She didnt care about it, but when other people cared about it she always felt so...inferior. She giggled as Emily 'checked her head' and shook her head.
"Trees and plants have feelings too, ya know!" she said, sounding very sure of herself. "Can't you tell he's lonely..the way his branches sway in the wind...give off the aura of, perhaps, dolefulness. Poor thing...i would go over and talk to him, but he might kill me, ha. He's veyr feisty, isnt he?" she asked with a giggle, and laughed when Emily said she worried about her.
"Worrying doesnt help at all..dont worry. Simply hope. And why would you worry? I am completely sane...regardless of my insane father," she replied with a grin. She turned to the girl Camira and merely smiled.
"He talks back..in his own language. The way his branches sway give off his feelings and emotions...and the way he moves, basically. NOt all talking is sound," she said softly, and looked back at the tree.

Emily smiled at Wednesday as she introduced herself… “That name sounds kinda familiar” She wracked her brains to see if she could remember where she heard it before.. But to no avail. She could remember something to do with muggles but wasn’t 100% sure..
She tuned to Camira who had asked about holidays. “Er, nothing planned yet, We’ve just got here.“ She said with a shrug, "I’m sure my dad’s got something up his sleeve though..” Likes to spoil his little girl.
Emily looked at Katelyn again. “Yeah, whatever you say, Kate” She picked up a rock an threw it at the tree to get it to move. It’s branches thrashed about angrily trying to find the source of this sudden disturbance. Emily was pleased she was not within range of it’s branches. “Oh look, it’s angry.“ She said flatly, shrugging at Katelyn.

She may be a cooky and crazy at times, but she was not stupid. "Argh! You'd better apologize, Missy!" she said teasingly at Emily. "How would you like it if I," she picked up a rock,"threw this at you, huh?" she asked, and placed the rock back on the ground. "Oh, do you go home for the holidays?" she asked, to both the girls, though she didnt care if either of them answered. She glanced over at the tree, and smiled.

Katelyn snatched the rock out of Emily's hand, and let it fall to the ground. She wasnt angry, she was annoyed.
"Yes it does! I promise you it does!" she exclaimed, waving her hands in the air, and then took out a peice of paper from her pocket.
"I-must dash off. I must send this to my grandfather...see you guys later. No more hurting more trees, please," she said, getting all serious and one could really hear the pleaing in her voice as she said her last words. She unfolded the letter she had written yesterday, and picked a random flower from the ground, stuck it behind her ear, and strolled off, muttering to herself all the way.

Emily smiled “Thank you, Camira.” “.. Scarlet?" Emily thought. "Isn’t she that nasty girl who started the trouble at the hufflepuff table during the feast." “It would be an honour .. Yes, I’ve met Excelsior briefly. He sems very nice..”
Emily looked away, slightly embarrased when Camira shouted at Katelyn. She really did like Katelyn and was confused by her weird behaviour. "It's cos she's intimidated by Slytherins" Emily thought. Quote:

Emily shrugged. "I'm going to take as many as possible.. but I'm particualry intestested in Astronomy and Potions" Emily was a bit of a swot at heart butshe didn't admit her currnet fascination with muggle studdies. "How about you?"
