Krissy sat with a sigh, she could tell Helios was still upset.
"Aye, I'll explain Christmas to yeh... but first I want to tell yeh honestly. I am very sorry for snapping at yeh the other day. I had no right. I was just bristly because well, yeh hurt me feelings." she brushed a blue strand of hair out of her watery eyes.
"Now as for Christmas... well it's a bit hard to explain. tis a religious holiday for those that believe in a singular Christian God. It is supposed to be the celebration of the birth of their savior. Seems to me it's turned into something a bit more about gifts though. Me step dad had us celebrate Christmas, but me mum and I always had a little Winter Solstice celebration." she flushed a bit knowing she probably confused the prince even more. "All I know is me mum never made me dress in such finery jest to celebrate the coming of a new season." she looked down at her dress praying he didn't think she looked ridiculous.

Alex laughed, watching Tues try to fix what she messed up with the hole in her jeans. it was truthfully no use unless there was a spell for it - which there probably was.

"Yeah it will. and we'll have little town's and store's there - i think that a mall is required to keep people happy. and whatever else.. we'll figure that out later. as for the people.." Alex trailed off.

"Next year will be O.W.L's.." Alex groaned at the thought. that was actually why he hadn't seen Alicia in merlin knew how long - Garret wanted her to prepare ahead of time. "Even then you'll still have Alexis and Curt. by the way, how are you and that situation?"

Tuesday stuck out her bottom lip once more, putting her finger through the now ripped whole, and pouted. She loved these jeans.

"Uh, That I have not thought about yet. But you are welcome to live there as well!" She squeeled with joy. She then groaned at Alex. Why did he have to mention this? "Thank you, SO much Alex, for the lovely reminder of the dreadfull O.W.L.'s.." She sighed then poked her finger through the whole once more, Pouting as well.

"Ah..People and their worship of Gods. Such a bizarre concept. I believe it is enough to respect a higher powers contribution to the world, but this Kriss-Miss. Exchanging of gifts, and festive dances...strange.." Now he understood, but Helios did not still quite grasp the idea of why.

Belonging to what may be deemed high society, he enjoyed the opportunity to dress in his finest clothing, and see others do the same. "Your grandmother must have known quite the seamstress. That is a most fetching gown." A bit of crimson nipped at his cheeks.

"Perhaps I am saying too much."

Savannah nodded, True.. In her seventh year she'd still have Sammy, Curt, Alexis and Dusty. Some others too, like Rapunzel.. still, it wouldn't fill the emptiness she'd feel without the others.

Raising a hand to fiddle with the golden locket around her neck, The badgers finger outlined the silver S. She never, ever took it off, not even for quidditch. It was like a keepsake, from someone she missed greatly that had a huge impact on her life since the day she started school at hogwarts.

"Yes.. very nice Alex, Me and Lexi will never be able to tear Liccie away from her studies then! I can count how many times I've seen her all term on both hands, thats not right!" Savannah pouted. Her face warming slightly at the question, "Why must you grill me on that 'sitaution'? Fiinnne, if you must know, I told him. And.. well, yes." The poor hufflepuff girl could feel her cheeks warm even more, "Good enough answer?"

Krissy's eyes widened at the compliment and her pale cheeks flushed a bright red. "oh, no... I umm. Thank yeh." She stumbled over her words feeling rather foolish but ever so flattered.
"Actually I like the gift giving part. I've made some gifts for me friends...That includes yeh." She looked down at her hands fidgeting with her fingers. She didn't think she could handle Helios rejecting her friendship as he had her romantic feelings.

Alex grinned innocently. "Sorry Tutu!" raising his eyebrows, he then said "your going to make the hole worse - even if it doesn't seem possible at this point." and stuck his tongue out teasingly.

"Sorry Ann. i'm sure you two will get her away from studying afew times - Alexis could probably get her from their common room then you two can tag-team her." Alex suggested jokingly - he wouldn't be surprised in the least of they did that.

"because i care. and you know i want to make sure your okay at all times." He simply said. Savannah no matter how much she hated it was the baby. she had alway's tagged along when he, Wyatt and Conner would be up to something or going on an adventure without permission and she was the youngest - the baby. alway's had been alway's would be pictured like that. "nope, not good enough. is there something going on between you two know or has it gone completely awkward.. or? and if there is, he's a good kid right? real nice to you?" Alexander was partly doing this to tease and partly because he felt more comfortable knowing rather then not.

Savannah smiled slightly, Not a bad idea.. not at all. She'd have to bring it up to Lexi later.

If she felt silly before, she wanted to hide now. Letting out a very very quiet muffled whine, Savannah let her head fall into her hands and rest there for a moment. "Yes. We're kind of together know, so to speak. and Yes, Curt is 'a good kid' and is very kind to me. Know, I believe thats enough from you." She said, her voice rather muffled and quiet.

Raising a pinkened face from her hands, Savannah stood from her chair, feeling like a walk would be.. wonderful at this moment. "Erm.. I'll try to meet up with you guys abit later, Wanna find Alexis.." She waved, and excused herself from the table they were seated at before heading off through the crowded great hall.

Helios looked flabbergasted. This was quite disturbing, he always had something to say. "A..A gift? For me? I do not believe I have ever received...or given...a Kriss-Miss gift..this is quite embarassing. I have nothing to give.." Normally his head was held high, now it was sunk low with embarassment.

Krissy flushed an even deeper shade of crimson. She never could get things right with this boy. "Oh Helios! I made the gift for yeh because Yeh are me friend. Not for something in return. Don't be embarrassed. I give gifts for the joy of giving. Besides, this isn't yer holiday, why on earth would I expect you to follow it's traditions? truth be told I would have made and given yeh a gift before the end of term anyhow." She reached out and gently touched his had for a moment. Remembering his reaction the last time she touched him she pulled back her hand before he could pull away himself.Just a moment before she felt like a gorgeous young woman. Now she just felt stupid. Sighing deeply she tried to get him to look up. "Helios... I've never seen yeh look so down. Are yeh alright?"

Wednesday was trying to make way through the tables, but ended up tripping over a Hufflepuff boy's foot and falling to the floor. "I'm sorry," she said looking up to him.

"No worries. Just glad you are not hurt." Taking the Ravenclaw girl by the hand, Helios helped her to her feet.

Why was he being so polite? Why did touching Wednesday's hand not feel the same as Krissy's? This Kriss-Miss business was confusing.

He still felt the need to give a gift in return for the one he was yet to receive from the Gryffindor girl.

As close as he could get to nervous he quickly transfigured two drink glasses into glass roses. Couldn't go wrong with roses. Right? "Careful, might shatter." Sliding his wand back down his sleeve, the Greek boy handed a glass rose to Krissy, and even went as far as to hand another one to Wednesday who he had never met before.

The Kriss-Miss spirit seemed to posess him.

Krissy touched the delicate petals on the glass rose astounded. "Oh thank you so much Helios! It's gorgeous!" she reached out and hugged him briefly before pulling back embarrassed. "Oh umm...sorry." she flushed. Reaching into her handbag she pulled out her wand "Accio Gift" she said in a whisper. Helios' gift landed on the table in front of them rather quickly. "It's jest a scarf I crocheted, and some marshmallow snowmen I made in Potions... I hope you like them." She said handing him the Hufflepuff colored scarf and box of candies to the prince. Looking into his magical eyes she briefly felt a bit lost in them. Shaking her head lightly she smiled. "I had better put an anti-breaking charm on this rose, I plan on keeping it forever!" she gave a light chuckle. This was the first gift she had ever received from a boy.

Kayla danced her way over to Krissy and Helios, the music was actually starting to grow on her. It was up beat and made her feel very happy or maybe because Christmas was almost upon them.

"Hey you two I have been looking for you everywhere. I've been wanting to give you two your Christmas presents for the last couple of days but can never seem to catch up with you" she pulled out a little velvet pouch and took out the charm bracelet that was inside. "For you Krissy" she said happily. "I made it myself and I've started by giving you two charms, this one here is the Gryffindor Lion and this here is a little medallion and I engraved the words best friends on it" she said as she passed the bracelet to Krissy.

She turned to Helios. "You were a little harder but I hope I have come up with something nice" she took out a small model of what looked like a horse and she held it on the palm of her hand. "I made this as well, it's a model of your Patronus it's not exactly perfect but I did the best I could and I got one of the Professor's to help me with the spell to make it move" Kayla tapped her wand against the horse and it gave a snort and stamped her palm.

She looked up at them beaming. "I hope you like them" she said excitedly she always loved giving gifts.

Krissy looked up at Kayla. She was a little disappointed to be interrupted but smiled none the less. "Oh thank you Kayla! It's very pretty. I have a gift for you as well." Using the "accio" charm again Krissy summoned a box of the marshmallow snowmen as well as a Hufflepuff colored hat she had crocheted. "I made these for yeh. I hope yeh like them!"

Taylie walked up to the small gathering of her friends and looked around. "Well, I am seeing candy and roses. Which just happen to be two of my most favoritest things. So I am beginning to wonder, where was I when everyone was showered in candy and roses?"

Krissy laughed at that. "I should have jest brought all the bloody gifts with me!" summoning Taylie's gift she handed her the crocheted rose she had made as well as a box of the marshmallow snowmen. "Don't eat them all at once though! Yeh will get a belly ache and I don't want to be listening to yeh complain all night in the dorms." She chuckled. Her friends had the worst timing, but she loved them anyway.

"I will eat as much candy as I want, sir. You will just have to deal with it. At least I don't mumble in gaelic in my sleep", Taylie said. "Thank You so much for my gifts, she gave Krissy a hug and then handed her a package that she had hidden behind her back. " Happy Yule, Lady."

"Hey thanks Krissy, ooh look they're little snowmen how cute it will be a shame to eat them" Kayla squealed with delight and she put her new hat on and danced around on the spot. She was in a very silly mood tonight and she had no idea why but it felt good. She leant down and gave Krissy a hug. "You're the best friend a girl could ever ask for and thank you for always being there when I needed someone to talk to and a shoulder to cry on."

Krissy smiled at her friends. Taylie called her sir and Kayla was so affectionate. It was strange having female friends. She was surprised to hear she spoke in Gaelic in her sleep. "Yeh are both bloody mad." Krissy looked at Helios who had still not mentioned anything about his gifts. Her smile faltered a bit. How could the prince frustrate her so much, yet make her feel so good?

"By the wings of Icarus! It even flies!" For a boy who normally had a rather unpleasent disposition, Helios was rather jubilant in the company of the few people who could tolerate him.

The toy pegasus seemed to have taken a liking to the boy prince as it circled about his head before finding a pocket in his dress robes to hide in.

The Hufflepuff was smiling as he wrapped the yellow and black scarf around his neck, it matched his fancy clothing rather well.

"Thank you." He spoke rather quietly. No one had ever been so kind to him.

Krissy smiled at Helios with a small look of embarrassment Her gift wasn't nearly as cool as Kayla's. "Yeh are welcome, my dear friend." she said blushing. "It compliment's yer coloring nicely." Every time she though she was over her crush she got those silly little flutters.
No Kristyn Moon! You will stop acting like such a blubbering twit!she thought to herself as she fingered the paper on the gift Taylie had given her.

"Kayla, Helios I didn't see you two there. I guess I didn't recognize you when you are not fighting or kissing. Well, I guess, it's always fighting now. I have some gifts for you also", she handed a large package to both of them." I really think they can help you on you paths through life".
She watched them open there packages and inside of each were books. For Kayla there was "How to be a strong woman in a world of weak men" and "Love yourself before loving another". For Helios there was "How to be humble" and "Just because you're different doesn't mean you're special".

"Hey you're welcome, I'm just glad you like it" Kayla said smiling and she leaned over and gave him a hug as well. "We've had our differences Helios but you're still one of my best friends" she said ruffling his hair.

"Oh thanks Taylie, I wasn't expecting anything from you" she looked at the books and then grinned up at Taylie. "Very clever, thank you" Kayla said.

"Right then I know I kind of interrupted you and I'm sorry about that but I just had to give you your Christmas presents. So I'll be off now I think I'm going to hit that dance floor, I actually have no idea how to dance to this music but I guess I'll learn as I go and make an absolute idiot of myself in the process...Merry Christmas" and she flounced off toward the dance floor waving over head.

Krissy looked at Taylie in shock, she couldn't believe the books she gave Helios and Kayla. Trying to fight back laughter she shook her head. Taylie wasn't very subtle about her feelings towards the two.
deciding to open her package she pulled out another bracelet. "Oh it's pretty! and it's engraved... "For my best friend, and sister of my heart". Oh Taylie that is so sweet!" She put the bracelet on her other wrist.
