Tuesday sighed picking up the last peice of stepped on cookie and threw it away. She walked over to the table, sitting down at the end where she sat alone. Why did she come here anyways? Oh yah, Drink. She reached down the table, grabbing A cup and orange juice. She poured it into the cup, making sure not to spill any. She slip the cantainer back onto the table and took A small sip from her cup. With the other hand she messed with the necklace around her neck and stared of into another direction. She was bored and lonely.

"Works for me,"she grabbed a hot dog and bit in to it.She swallowed and a smile played on her lips"I still can't believe we won.I've been waiting two years for this and its finally here."

"Glad we won, too." "Second year for me in Quidditch"." First starting year. I hope I helped." "We need to dance to help get the calories off."" Oh yeah, we are young" Jason Potter Weasley aka Elvis rambles on to Heather admiring her looks.

"I'll work it off at the lake its the best place for me.I always jog there then during the winter I ice skate on the lake and practice for my competition,"she said smiling then taking a sip of the milkshake"Anyways when I dance I just feel uncomfortable.So maybe we can go have a private talk at the lake later?"

"Ok Heather but can it be tommorow" Jason asks her? I need to do some other things at school". I will be around tommoroe for the dance or food. " I have seen you ice skating and swimming" " You are good at both" Jason tells her.

"Thanks,"she said blushing slightly"She stretched up and yawned."Yeah tomarrow will be fine.I think I should turn in soon I'm a little sleepy."

Laylee walked inside the Great Hall, a bit nervous.
Her hair was down and curly like normal, only it was completely perfect. She had on a light blue dress that was to the knees. It came in at the waist and flowed out beautifully over her legs. It made her blue eyes pop and her figure look cute and small.
She went over to the tables and sat down. She didnt see any of her friends around; but then again, she kind of wished they wouldnt see her like this. She looked good, but she was uncomfortable and she felt too girly. Not that that was bad, but she usually wears t-shirts and jeans. She looked around at everyone dancing and smiled warmly at them...

Ryder was absolutely horrified but he tried to not let that show. He gave her an awkward smile, like he had no idea what she was thinking with that last show she put on with the hot sauce. He watched her grab food off his plate and decided he was surely finished. He pushed his plate towards her, "Knock yourself out." He said staring at her shoving food into her mouth like crazy.

He was rather disgusted by this situation, he had never seen a 'girl' act this way before. It was new to him, not that girls couldn't act this way, but he was sure they never did it in public. He had to look away this sight was making his stomach turn. He kind of pushed back when she hugged him, "Oh yes... no problem." He said nervously patting her back quickly and then pulling himself away. He stood up and looked at her. "I am going to go get another drink, can I get you one?" He asked hoping she would not ask him to get her another pile of food. She ate like a hound and very messily.

"I've been," Rosalie hesated, then laughed. "Busy." She finished lightly, grinning at Jolie. She twirled her finger into the single curl that hung over her bare shoulder, and listened to Jolie's summary of her year so far.

"I know how that feels." Rosalie stated, grinning. "I'm in the same position. It's insane how much work increases in your seventh year. I've never really been bothered by it before, now it's just so...imposing. So final." She was grinning. It was nice to see Jolie again.

Movement caught her eye. Not that there wasn't a lot of it going on around her. But this particular movement was caused by Ryder. Rosalie raised her hand to get his attention, but he, apparently, hadn't noticed her. She watched him for a moment, then watched as Alexandria sat down with him.

Her anger flared. Rosalie dearly wanted to hex the girl for getting anywhere near Ryder, but that would ruin all the fun of the dance. She settled for watching...and then...she hugged him. Rosalie's eyes narrowed, but she didn't move to stop the action.

As Ryder stood up to get that drink that would possibly get him away from all the food flying frenzy and hot sauce drinking that Alexandria was doing he noticed Rosalie. How could he not notice her though, he smiled seeing her and looked to Alexandria, "Excuse me." He said walking towards Rosalie.

"Hey Alie, I was hoping I would see you here. I was looking for you before." He admitted. He looked to her friend that he had never met, "Um... You mind if I sit with you?" He asked.

The moment Ryder noticed her sitting there, he said a brief farewell to Alexandria, and moved over to her table. His quick good-bye did make her feel a bit better, and somewhat guilty at the same time. She knew green wasn't her color.

"Hey Ry." She greeted him. Maybe she just didn't like his attention being on another girl when they were all trying so hard to look their best. Vanity, also, was a sin. She sighed and tried to clear the thoughts from her head.

"Ryder this is my friend Jolie. Jolie, this is my boy-" She stopped talking, causing the word to die on her tongue. That wasn't official. Did it have to be official? He was definitely her something...

"This is Ryder Malfoy." She introduced them finally, knowing her pause would likely be awkward. She then motioned for Ryder to take one of the empty seats, and wished her cheeks weren't flushed.

Ryder smiled at Rosalie she was so cute when she was under pressure. He looked at the girl sitting there with Rosalie. "Nice to meet you Jolie. Ryder Malfoy." He said putting his hand out to shake hers. "Rosalie's boyfriend." He added smiling at her. He leaned down and kissed her head taking the seat next to her. "Alie you are looking simply amazing tonight. I love that dress on you." He said leaning closer to her.

"Rosalie's boyfriend." Ryder had introduced himself as. She watced him offer his hand to Jolie, and grinned at him. It wasn't as if the fact were amusing, but she snorted, then covered her face with her hand as she laughed for a moment. When she finally looked up she was grinning.

"Ya know, I do believe that is the second time I did that to you." Rosalie told him, trying to remember the first time he'd been declared her boyfriend. Sure there were some minor differences, but it was the same basic story. Some things never changed.

"Thank you," She told him, still smiling. "You look pretty decent yourself Malfoy." She added, and reached over to take his hand beneath the table when he sat down.

Katelyn rolled her eyes at Sho, but smiled at Nessa.
"Its a total-meat fiesta. Do you know how many animals were probably killed just for this dance?" she asked, but chuckled nonetheless.

Katelyn laughed and nodded. Some people were dressed so nice...and she was just casual. No matter, though.
"Yeah...I dont really have any nice dresses. So I stuck with casual," she replied with a grin. "Your dress iss peeerrrty," she complimented. "Goes well with your hair," she commented, giggling, and ran her fingers through her own blue hair.

She turned to look sharply at Nessa again.
"I can picture him...looking all spiff-a-duffy in a suit," she said with a grin. "But i cant picture him dancing. So, Nessa, you going to dance?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. Katelyn definately wanted to dance. Just..not all alone.

Josey nodded. "Nice to meet you, Rosalina," she said. "I don't dance, do you?" she added conversationally. This girl did not seem like much of a talker.

Tia sighed and looked about the hall which was full of chatting students and yet she was all alone and wished that she had loads of friends

Jai sat beside Tia and sighed "Hey." she said cheerily "Why aren't you dancing?Its really fun out there."

Tia smiled at Jai and said "Well just haven't found someone to dance with"

Jai smiled "I'll dance with you, if you want. I'm Jai by the way." she stuck out a hand for Tia to shake.

Tia smiled and said "Ok Jai that sounds fun"

Jai smiled and grabbed her hand then lead her out o the dance floor.

Gwen surveyed the Great Hall with a touch of disdain. A Sock Hop. Corny, but cute in its own way. Just because she found it a little silly didn't mean that she wasn't going to enjoy herself. And if Professor Dresden, the stiffest man in the wizarding world, could almost look like he was having fun, she could have fun too. She was decked out in a fuzzy pink sweater, with a great gray poodle skirt, and basketball sneakers with socks rolled down to her ankles. She had spent a great deal of time and energy trying to get her thick, curly black hair up in a ponytail; she had sort of succeeded. Her hair was indeed secured at the back of her head with a pink bow, although several rogue curls refused to acquiesce to the elastic. No matter, with her regular cat's-eye specs she felt she had achieved the look.

With a plate of chips smothered in a ketchup and a burger in one hand, and a soda pop in the other, she looked for a space to sit. She found one next to Excelsior Black. Gwen tipped her head to the side in thought. Hmmm. He was interesting. There was something about him that made him stick out, sort of seem like he didn't quite belong. She liked him, though. He wasn't at all bad on the cat's-eye specs.

Gwen plopped down in the chair beside him and began munching on a chip. "Hi," she said cheerfully.

"Hi," said Excelsior, noticing a girl he hadn't yet met had just sat down beside him. "I'm really kind of new at this type of thing, I've never been to any kind of sock hop or even heard of one before, what about you? Still, I would have to say this was an original idea, at least it's definitely something different. I'm Excelsior Black, by the way, from the most noble and ancient house of Black. I don't believe I've seen you around before."

Gwen grinned. The most noble and ancient house of Black?
"I'm Gwen Minton, from the most poor and contemporary house of Minton," she replied through her grin. "I'm only a first year, but you might remember me from Charms class. I somehow made a Hufflepuff girl blow the windows out. I think you were there."

"My father is Muggle-born, and I've got some American cousins, so I'm familiar with the concept," she said, taking a careful sip of her soda pop. "And from the cinema, too."

"Wow, that was YOU?", Excelsior said, remembering the incident now. "That was the wildest thing I've ever seen. I don't think you had anything to do with it, though, I think it was more the general atmosphere than anything you did. That's a day I will certainly never forget, though. I don't recall anyone having that kind of power just released all of a sudden like that. Anyway, it's very nice to meet you officially, Gwen."

"The food is pretty good here," he smiled. "Can you believe I've never had a Coca Cola before? I think I like these as much as butterbeers."
