Jordan walked over and sat down at an empty table while she sipped her coca-cola. She looked around to see if she saw any of her firends or some guy that she could dance with. But she didn't see anyone. They young Hufflepuff figured that maybe someone would turn up sooner or later. |

Jordan looked up to see Sam walking towards her. "Sam!!!" She said happily. "oh its okay, but let me tell you I am ready for some cute guy to walk by to dance with." She said laughing. The young girl was making a joke out of it, but it was true too, she had only been to Beauxbatons balls, and since beauxbatons is an all girls school she had never had the pleasure to actually have a ball with guys. Sam chuckled as Jordan said she was waiting for a cute boy to walk by to dance with. "Yeah I guess that would be fun." She didnt know what she would do if a boy asked her to dance. She would probably look so much like her younge brother and blush. She didnt know how to dance. Sam had kind of missed that lesson while she was outside playing soccer or quidditch.

This proved to be quite an improbable act of calming oneself, as all it managed to achieve was his face to go red and his ribs hurting, and infinite loss of breath due to the abominable tightness of this stupid jacket.
The shirt he wore was a florescent yellow, his jacket a florescent orange, and his jeans a florescent lime green. His boots were a murky browny-black and he looked like a sunflower.
Curse mothers! He scowled to himself and scanned the tables for any sign of anyone he might know...

Laylee looked up from her table to see Chandan in the brightest outfit she had ever seen!
She smiled slightly and walked over to him. She still had questions about what had happened in the mirror, but decided this wasnt the time to ask them.
"Hello!" She said when she had reached his side. Laylee hoped he would not feel awkward after what had happened; she already felt uncomfortable for the both of them...

ooc-That's ok, Kyla!  Chandan jumped as he heard a voice by his side. He looked down from his abominable height and briefly registered the girl as Laylee as he snapped out of his thoughts.
"Oh! Laylee--I, uh... Hi!" He blushed awkwardly, glancing down briefly, and then looking back up with a look of amazement.
"You--You look beautiful!" Chandan exclaimed, then immediately went scarlet. "Sorry, that's a bit outright, isn't it? Private tutoring sucked with me when it came to polite manners--ways of speaking, especially..."
Chand glanced down at himself and groaned. "I wish they'd taught mother etiquette--I look like a sunflower!"

"I look like a Christmas tree that's exploded into Ion Particles or something..." Chandan muttered to himself, giving himself the 10th-over.
"Do you wanna dance?" He asked suddenly, then mentally kicked himself. "Wait! Sorry again--that was all outright and strange... I, uh... Well, I can't even dance anyway... Unless you want to dance...? Or--Or sit down or something? Arg! I'm doing it again! Impulsive... That's what they said. Headlong collision, confidence--Drat! I'm prattling, not letting you get a word in edgewise, I--I'm doing it again!"
Chandan took a deep breath, steadied himself, and then put his right hand to his forehead and let his breath out slowly.
"Sorry," He smiled awkwardly at last. "Hyperactive, hypertension--Whatever the word for overactive--that's it!--I'm just... Yeah... Uhm, do you wanna, uh, stand here and talk or just.... Stand, or something... Am I being annoying and an absolute geeky dork-a-sourous?!?"
This was going to be a long nighty-day-thing.

Laylee let him ramble as her cheeks went from deep crimson to light pink. She was actualy quite happy that he was so nervous or awkward, or, whatever you would call it.
When he was finished she looked down at her shoes. "Sure..." She looked back up at him and smiled. "I'll dance with you." She said it very casually, even though she had floods of emotions running through every inch of her body.
She felt completely dorky and odd as she stood infront of him. Why shouldnt she dance with him? Its not like anything would happen right?

Chandan beamed suddenly as she agreed to dance with him... Then he stiffened, every nerve in his body on overdrive as he realised what this meant...
Dancing. With someone. A girl--not that that really mattered... In a room FULL OF PEOPLE.
Ah.
Chandan swallowed his emotional difficulties and smiled slightly.
"Right then!" Chand tried to create the illusion that his enthusiastic demeanor was completely in tune with confidence and totally true--this probably failed as he inclined his head towards the Dance floor and pulled at his jacket nervously. There he was, looking like a disco ball, and probably about to make a fool of himself--and he was still looking like a geek as he tried to smile in a... Comforting, was it?, way.
"I'll, uh, start, uhm... Walking towards the Dance Floor!" Chandan managed to smile a little, hopefully in a reassuring way, and began to walk towards the Dance Floor.

Rosalie moved over to a vacant table and sat down in a chair with a heavy sigh. She bent down to remove her strappy stiletto's from her aching feet. Once her feet were free, she picked up the gold heals and set the on the table top. Sure it wasn't the most sanitary thing in the world. But they were worth more money than she'd admit to. On the t-strap were Swaroski crystals, which didn't come cheep. The truly sad thing wasn't that her ankles actually hurt from the five inch heals, but that she intended to wear them again.

Jayden entered the Sock Hop looking refreshed. He blonde hair with pink tips where pulled high above her head looking retro and classic. Her white dress with black polka dots looked perfect with the red sash she wore around her waist. The red high-heeled shoes she wore really put off the look she was wanting.
Not having the desire to dance just yet, she waited by the tables. She had come to the Sock Hop alone but had every intention of not being alone. She sat down in one of the chairs next to a girl that had put her shoes on the table. She smiled. 'Great Shoes." she told her before turning and looking around at all the students dancing and their many outfits.
