"But of course I remember you, Monica... I'm fine as well... This is Beck" Ray introduced Beck to Monica. "So Monica how's things going? Are you seeing Vannah, Curt or Alex? It has been a while I haven't saw those three in here." Ray announced as he tried searching for them again

I haven't, but it's so crowded in her that there is no telling where they are. Oh, forgive me for being Rude, I forgot to introduce you to my brother Excelsior. Excelsior this is Ray, we met in Diagon Alley."

Ray saluted Monica's brother Excelsior, how bizzare a gryffindor and a slytherin in one family.
"You have a point, I is crowded in here a little to much I think! But I hope it is going to be fun... I heard from someone that another event is going to take place in here! I wonder if it is true?Anyway, how's school, you know classes and stuff??" Ray asked both of Monica and her brother.

Monica smiled as she saw Ray's reaction to her and Excelsior being in different houses. She giggled. "Perhaps I should explain, our last name is Black." She smiled. "I am honestly not surprised if there is," she responded. "I love History of Magic!" Monica smiled, "and Astronomy and potions are going well. You?"

"Very nice to meet you, Ray," Excelsior said. "Yes, we are from the House of Black, where you can always expect the unexpected. We have Gryffindors turn up in our family every now and then."

Monica stuck her tounge otu at Excelsior. "It's the Slytherin Blacks who are the oddballs now." She teased.

Ray smiled to the reaction of Monica and her brother.
"Well maybe you all ready know that Im the last descendant of Helga Hufflepuff and that I belong to the Hufflepuff house but actually my grandfather well he was in Ravenclaw, and in all our family no one ever went to a diffrent house than Hufflepuff so I relate with you. Well I haven't been watching to many classes this year... I spend my time practising advanced magic with some of the professors here... But I never missed a charm class and a DADA class and I guess transfiguration was one of the subjects I never missed... Hmmm and what about this surprise thing that is going to happen at after this party? Does anyone know anything?"

"I didn't know that!" Monica smiled. "That us cool! As far as the surprise goes, I have no Idea but I hope it's that they're going to hurry up and award the house cup to Gryffindor!" She teased them.

"Yeah, I guess I'm the last of the line, maybe," Excelsior said teasingly. "You Gryffindors are taking over!" He shuddered in mock horror.

Monica stuck her tounge out at Excelsior. The Merriment of the last hour had almost made her forget being stood up. Almost. "If you don't move over we'll overtake you too." She teased.

Excelsior moved over, pretending to be very put out about it but not really minding at all. "Are you Gryffindors always so bossy?", he asked, giving his sister an evil grin.

Monica lunged over at Excelsior and tickled him. "Depends, you Slytherins always so touchy?" She teased.

Excelsior laughed even harder when Monica started tickling him. "Only when we're being attacked by some crazy Gryffindor!" he said, beginning to tickle Monica back.

Monica fell over laughing! "OW!" She landed on her bottom.

Excelsior reached down to pick Monica up off the floor. "Wow, you're even more ticklish than I am!" he said, laughing. "Maybe this wasn't such a great idea. Are you okay, by the way."

"I'm alring, I just have a sore bottom." She gingerly sat down. She looked at her watch. "the night is half over. He's not coming." She said softly.

Excelsior sighed. "I'm sure that has to be some logical explanation for it. There must have been some reason why he left so suddenly, or else he would have come here to be with you, I just know it. I'm sure he still loves you, though," he said. He really had no doubt of that, and thought that whatever had happened, it wasn't by Wyatt's choice.

"Honestly bro,I don't feel very loved at the moment. I feel like a fool. The least Wyatt could have done was send me an owl saying he couldn't make it." If there was anything she knew it was the rules of polite society, and not letting someone know that they were going to miss something special was just rude.

"That is a good point," Excelsior said thoughtfully. Wyatt didn't strike him as someone who would ignore the rules of society, and Monica would certainly know better than he. "Do you suppose something could have happened to him that prevented him from letting you know?"

"There's only one way that he wouldn't let me know, and I refuse to think that way." Monica sighed. That would mean believing that Xzavior had hurt him again. "Maybe her just forgot." Monica said half hopefully.

Amelia nearly jumped when one of her teammates came up her table. "Oh, hey Kaika! Having a blast... this food is amazing!!" It really was quite the honest truth; any sort of ethnic food was wonderful to Amelia assuming it was thoroughly cooked. "Oh don't worry about being late... the party is just starting to hop!" she said, grinning at her own cleverness with words.

"I love the soda... anything with bubbles is good to me." she said, smiling, "... but this milkshake is like heaven. Have you tried anything yet? Take a seat here, please...there's plenty of room." she said, motioning to the seat next to her. She glanced around the room, wondering where that Tancred was; as usual he was late. She so badly wanted to dance with him too...

“Yeah, sorry.. I wont mention it again.. But if you want to go at any time, just let me know.” Emily said to Ellie. She glanced over at the dance floor and then back at Ellie… “So.. Tell me about ..James.” She said with a cheeky grin, trying to get her own back for their conversation at the whomping willow.

" hope so," said Excelsior, not seeing any way that was possible. He wanted to try and take Monica's mind off of anything like that.

"Bubba, could we go outside, I need some air?" She asked her code word for I don't want to cry in front of everybody.

"Of course," Excelsior said, understanding her Monica must be feeling right now. He knew she didn't to get away from the crowd. He stood up, ready to walk with his sister outside.
