Emily let out a sigh of relief. Oliver was speaking to her. And not shouting. And not glaring. And not running away.
She gave the boy a small smile. “Don’t worry Oliver. It’s in the past.” She shrugged. “It seems like ages ago I last spoke to you. I saw you playing quidditch the other day.. Shame about the result eh?” She looked at Oli’s hair. “Dye your hair? That’s for muggles isn’t it. There must be a spell for that sort of thing.” Emily wracked her brains but couldn’t think of one off the top of her head. And she didn’t really understand why Oliver wanted to look older. “Me? I’ve just turned 12. Was my birthday a couple of weeks ago.”

"I know you are," Excelsior winked at Samia. It had been too long since he had last seen her, and now he realized how much she really did mean to him. He didn't want to make a mistake, which he had almost done. He was lucky to know a girl like that.
"I'm really happy that Sarah is back. I can't tell you how much I missed you during the time you were gone, though now I know it was because your grandpa was ill. I thought you had left me or something, but now I understand," he said.
