"Oh! How thoughtful." Helios said dryly as he read the cover to each book, not the least bit amused. "At least I know what to burn next time I need to start a fire." Faking a smile, the boy slowly rose from his seat. Nodding in Krissy's direction, he left for the dance floor. He didn't know how to dance, but it couldn't be as painful as being mocked. |
"Well, I guess we know the answer to that old joke 'How do you get two Hufflepuffs to leave the room'? Give them a book". Taylie watched them leave with an odd look on her face then she laughed at her little joke. " That's what happens when you hurt my friends" she said to Krissy. " I hurt you back. Seriously dude as often as he asks like a jerk you would think he could take it better". |

Krissy just nodded. Taylie was a good friend and really cared about her. "Well I understand, but don't go making any enemies... " She really had no idea what to say to her friend. |

Kayla had decided not to go dancing after all, the embarrassment she could do without. She had just reached the table where Helios, Krissy and Taylie were, when she heard what Taylie said and she stopped short. So this was how the girl really felt about her, Kayla's anger was starting build and that was never a good sign. "Well Taylie nice to see what you're real feelings are about me. It might have been nicer though to actually hear you say that to my face rather than behind my back. As for Helios and I we've had our difference but we've sorted them out and I really don't appreciate you speaking as though I'm some little princess whose never been out in the real world before. I can handle myself quite well thank you, I don't need you or anyone else looking out for me, I can do that on my own" Kayla's hands were starting to shake and instinctively she clenched her wand. "And you don't give Krissy enough credit either, she is a strong girl as well and if she has feelings for Helios and feels the same for her then let them be. It will either work or it won't but that's her decision to make. And I am not trying to steal your friend either but seeing as you're never around for her well then she comes to me" Kayla bellowed. She kept her breathing even and remained in control but only just, she was almost at boiling point. |

Kayla was just about to have another go at Taylie when Krissy's words touched her ears. She took a deep breath and looked skyward, so much for her good mood. She looked back at Krissy and only Krissy. "I'm sorry if I ever hurt you it was never my intention, you're one of my best friends" she looked over at Taylie. Having finally managed the dancefloor, Evangeline found herself on the table’s area. Seriously, who would’ve thought it was so hard to walk through the dancefloor? Especially with a chocolate malt in her hand. Sipping from her malt she looked around the area; she found Excelsior and started walking in his direction, ignoring the fact that he was with a girl. She needed somebody to keep her mind off the fact that boys (or rather one in particular) were just stupid! And Excelsior was the perfect solution because although he was a boy he wasn’t stupid. Or rude. “Hey Ex.” She grinned at him and nodded politely at the girl he was with. “I’m not interrupting am I?” She didn’t wait for an answer and quickly sat down next to him. “I swear I haven’t seen you in ages.”She had a funny feeling she knew why that was and was determined to change it. |

"Evangeline, is that really you?", Excelsior. He hadn't seen her in ages, much longer than since he last saw Monica. "How have you been, what's been going on with you? It's been so long, I've missed talking to you! So much has happened since the last time we spoke. This is Gwen, who I just met, and this is Monica. It turns out that Monica is actually my sister, we thought we were cousins, but it turns out we're a lot closer than that." He laughed, things had been crazy, really crazy. Good, bad, and some stuff he still wasn't sure of. Excelsior turned to Gwen and said, "Uh, yeah, it's okay. There are at least three other people now who call me that, so that's fine!" He thought about what person in particular who had called him that, wondering what on earth he was thinking. He thought Camira and he might be very compatible, now he wasn't so sure. He still didn't totally trust her. Gwen sounded very knowledgeable about muggles, he thought. He was impressed by how much she knew! |

Evangeline grinned at him and nodded. “Yup, I think it’s me. At least I was me the last time I checked, and I bet I would know if I wasn’t me. But then again, if I wasn’t me how would I…” She bit her lip, suddenly looking embarrassed. Why couldn’t she just stop rambling? Merlin! She coughed nervously, now they’d think she was nuts! “I’ve been okay I suppose.” She shrugged and took a sip from her malt. “I missed you too Ex. Really.” She grinned at him, wondering if he knew how different things were now. She turned to face the Gryffindor girl, which seemed slightly younger. “Pleasure to meet you Gwen. I’m Evangeline.” Then she grinned at Monica, chuckling slightly at Excelsior’s comment. “Yes, I believe you mentioned she was in fact your sister the last time we spoke.” Which was most likely in the last century. “So tell me, how have you been?” She asked him, chewing on her straw. She laughed lightly as they started saying her name was pretty. “Well, thank you. I’ll make sure I’ll tell my Mum you guys think she knows how to pick names.” She said, slightly amused. |
"I've been okay, I guess," Excelsior said. "It was great finding out that Monica is my sister, and I have another sister as well, Teri, she's younger and isn't at Hogwarts yet. But then, we lost the match to Ravenclaw and Gryffindor won, which means we all have to study that much harder. On top of that, I find myself making an impulsive decision which I'm not so sure about anymore, but that's another story." Excelsior wondered, he didn't want to pry into what had happened between Evangeline and Clifford, he only knew that they no longer seemed to be together, which was so sad. Clifford had seemed almost lost lately. |

Evangeline nodded her head as she listened to Excelsior, it must have been great to find out his true family. “Another sister? That’s great!” She had always wanted to have siblings. “How old is she?” She asked. Her grin faded slightly when he spoke about the Quidditch match. “Yeah, I saw that. But it was close, you guys played quite well.” Of course that that coming from her meant nothing since she really couldn’t understand when a player was playing well or bad. “And yay for studying harder.” She chuckled, placing her glass on the table. “We are really close to first place. I do think it’s possible for us to win.” She nodded her head. She turned to Gwen. “Aren’t you scared? You’re sitting in a table with to Slytherin eager to beat Gryffindor.” She smirked playfully. At Excelsior’s comment about a impulsive decision, Evangeline raised an eyebrow. “Well, is it final? I mean, if you aren’t so sure about it anymore maybe you should stop. And go back.” She wrinkled her nose, she had absolutely no idea of what he was talking about. |

Excelsior wondered if Evangeline knew what he was talking about, that he was speaking about Sarah and Camira. "No, it isn't final yet, not at all," he said, indicating that he had not yet had the chance to tell Sarah anything. At the time he had last spoken to Camira he felt like she was his true soulmate, now he just wasn't so sure what he should do. Oh, Teri's my other sister, she's 9 and will be starting Hogwarts soon," Excelsior said. "I've just gotten to know her here recently, she's great!" "Yeah, you Gryffindors are known for making crazy decisions, stuff I would never dream of," Excelsior laughed, turning to Gwen again. |
