There's a fantastic live band playing all sorts of old and beloved favorites. They're located on the dias that the staff table usually sits, and the entire room is full of loud and boisterous music. The tables have been pushed back to allow for dancing, and everyone is doing their best to keep up with the band.
Grab a partner and get out on the floor. Shoes are optional. | |

Well i hope that the best comes of it. " he told her as he then kissed her forehead. " everything will be alright. you'll be fine when the time comes and when its over you will be fine. Its just a little test for your patiences huh?' he teased as they all knew she had poor patience.
Thanks i guess. ' he told her as then told her." my mother always wanted us boys to dance. she made all of us take lessons. " he explained. the song stopped as he then looked at the time. " well i better get going. Thank you for the dance Emily. Your very good." he told her as he walked with her off the floor and then left for the commons. |

Emily merely smiled at Josh’s reply. She shrugged at his next comments, “A test of my patience? No. not exactly, Joshua.” Emily said but was not going to expand on it at the moment. Not here. And maybe not to Josh. Ever. He probably wouldn’t understand given his own family history. “And thank you for the dance Joshua.” Emily smiled and blushed as he kissed her forehead “See you around” she said, thinking that she had somehow managed to offend Josh without knowing how or why. She sighed to herself and made her way back over to the buffet.

Christian stepped out onto the dance floor, where it was apparent that the party was well underway. He was still holding onto Mallory and his eyes were sweeping the floor for a solitary place for them to dance. Finding one, in the general middle of the floor, he turned to face her.
Oh shoot. Now what? Help. I'm sinking here! MAYDAY!! It was like the prospect of dancing with her made his mind shut down. Slowly, he took her left hand in with his right and gently wrapped his left arm around her waist. They slowly swayed to the music. "See this isn't so bad." He said as if she was the one having the mental freakout.

Cora blinked at Christian as he smiled at her. She felt her cheeks go red and tried to smile back, but it turned out to be more of a grimace. She didn't know what it was, but her confidence had fallen greatly.
Maybe it was her odd appearance. The curly blonde hair, the red lipstick. It frightened people a bit. And Jamie...Ohhhh. She sighed and leant on the table.

Ok. Almost perfectly. Were mothers seriously the root of all etiquette and whatnot? Will they ever cease torturing their unwilling children and let them do as they pleased? Probably not. Mallory nodded sadly. "Yeah, mom forced me into taking dance lessons too...it was part of the whole high class" she rolled her eyes at the words "etiquette thing. Like I'll ever be graceful in everyday life. But I guess it's sort of useful in certain situations...like this." It was still sort of weird having a dance at Hogwarts where everything seemed so...fairytale-ish. The ceiling mirrored the current light snow falling from the outside. Everyone looked so fancy in their dress robes, dancing, laughing and enjoying. Mallory's slight daydreaming was interrupted by Christian's foot on hers. Ow! Another reason to hate heels. They enclose your feet in a tight space and they hurt twice as much when they get stepped on. "S'okay" she said trying to smile. Although her foot was a smarting a bit, it was funny seeing Christian's nervous reaction. It was a priceless expression. | |

Jayden strolled onto the dance floor without a partner. He had come to the dance single but intended on having a great time. Even without a partner he decided hed dance. He was rather really good, having taken lessons when he was a kid because his mother thought it proper to do so. His mother hadnmt intended to know that some of te dances werent so proper. He began dancing. He felt silly but who cared? Maybe someoene would dance with him | |

Sam walked into the sock hop, he loved to dress up, yes it was weird for a guy to like to dress up but he loved to get crazy. Stepping on the dance floor Sam started to dance, HIs clothes were only a little snug but it didnt stop him from dancing. His feet were moving and his hands were shaking.
