"Ok thank you Heather," Marco smiled, "I want to finish what I was saying to you."

Xana smiled at the girl. "Thank you."

As the girl left, she stepped into Marco's arms. "You looked like you needed to be rescued... is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine thank you," Marco smiled, "Heather is my ex-girlfriend. My only ex-girlfriend actually. She is going through a tough time at the moment. I was just comforting her."

He noticed she had appeared in his arms, and began to slowly dance with her, "How is everything with you? Claudian finally gotten off his high horse and asked you out?"

Josh watched her as she didnt head for the teacher tables but instead headed to marco. What a stab to the back. Great job moonson. Your losing her to marco. Josh was fuming inside but headed off the dance floor heading to the tables. And she called him a player.

Xana nodded in understanding as Marco spoke about his ex-girlfriend. "That's sweet of you."

She began to dance with him, and laughed lightly at his comment. "Things are progressing, I think-- the hard part for me is being patient. But... he's worth waiting for. So if that's what he needs..." she shrugged lightly.

She continued to dance with Marco. "I am sorry to interrupt you and Heather; I just wanted to make sure to have a moment to discuss the summer-- your plans, specifically... I know you've invited me to your home to learn quidditch, but... where *is* home?"

"Thank you," Marco smiled, "I happen to be quite sweet. Well so I am told be Heather. Noone else seems to think so."

"Do you want me to talk to him for you? I reckon I can get him to shift it along," he laughed.

"Nah its ok. What I had to say to her can wait. Just as long as she isn't going anywhere," he smiled, "I have invited you to my home. And my home is in Banbury. Well just outside of it. We have quite a big house, with a nice big garden. The garden is muggle protected so I can play quidditch. They see a scrap yard." He conjured up a sort of holographic map and zoomed in on his house. "There is London, there is my house."

"Well... I don't know about that. I do... and... well, Diabolica Black does. She'd kill me if she heard me say so though." She raised an eyebrow and gave him a knowing look.

"I think I need to respect him by not pressuring him. " She smiled. "But thank you."


She looked at the map. "I see; fabulous. So when you get settled, please owl me... I really do want to learn some of your flying techiques, and learn the sport so I can have a fighting chance to make the team. It was fun..." She smiled at him. "And I'd love to learn more."

She glanced over at the dance floor edge where Diabolica was standing. "I should go-- I was on my way to talk to Professor Erikson... but I happen to know that Diabolica would really like a dance with you. She's just... not likely to ask you herself. I'll talk to you later; I'd love another dance, too-- please save me one?"

"D...Diabolica thinks I am sweet?" Marco blushed, and smile softly. He liked Diabolica. He had gotten to know her slightly better when they were tending to the Thestrals.

"You may have a point there," he laughed, "I probably wouldn't know what to say to him anyway."

"Yeah I will do. Plus I have a spare broom or two that you can borrow," he smiled. "Ok I will talk to you on the train possibly, if not before." He blushed again, "And I would like to dance with her as well. I will ask. And save you one of course."

She nodded. "She does."

She smiled and tilted her head. "I appreciate the offer, though-- you have a kind heart, to offer to help. But it should stay private... between Claudian and me."



"That's wonderful... I'll look forward to it. She's right over there... alone for the moment...." She tipped her head in Diabolica's direction and grinned, her encouragement clear. "Have fun."

She slipped out of his arms and continued to make her way to the teachers' table and Professor Erikson.

Amelia couldn't stop smiling, as she twirled around and was brought in close to him. She could have sworn her heart stopped beating as they looked into each other's eyes. He was just so adorable.

The music was great; Amelia wasn't too picky about the music she listened to as long as she could move to the beat. But the music was made especially better by the closeness she felt to her significant other - closer in fact, then she felt to him all term.

Her cheeks became slightly flustered when he said she looked perfect. "Thank you," she said, as she gave him a peck on the lips. "I love you, Tanc. You know that, right?" she whispered, as she placed her cheek up against his and swayed with the music. This was the first time she had ever said she loved someone, other than a family member, and it felt wonderful yet strange too.

"Of course I know that you love me," Tancred whispered in her ear, a smile reappearing on his face. "I will always know that, love. Just like you know that I'll love you forever and ever."

He wayed with her for a few minutes and then the song surprisingly changed to a more upbeat tune. He looked down at her and his smile got even wider. Time for love to lead in a dance, he thought, before saying, "Go on. YOu're leading this one, love."

OOC: Sorry for not replying pages sooner. I was in New York for the past few days at my best friends house. Went to Times Square on New Years Eve, so it got pretty crazy during that time. I'm back now!

Marco smiled and nodded at Xana, "I will ask her now."

He walked over to Dia. He coughed and smiled, "Would you like to dance?"

Diabolica heard a voice asking her to dance and she looked to see who it was. She smiled. "Sure."

"Are you sure? I don't want to force you into anything," Marco smiled.

Diabolica nodded. "I'm completely sure." she smiled.

Marco smiled, "Good." He took hold of her hand and led her towards the dancefloor. "A little birdy told me that you think I am sweet. Is it true?"

From near the staff table, Xana looked over and saw Marco leading Diabolica onto the dance floor. She grinned, pleased. They are so cute together. She continued toward Professor Erikson.

Diabolica walked towards the dance floor with him. She smiled. "Quite true. You are. Who told you that?" she asked, head tilted slightly. She didn't remember telling anyone that...even though it was true...

Jayden headed out to the Dance Floor. He searched for Jen. She was supposed to be here. He had told her to meet him yesterday. He looked down at the watch he had on. She should be here any second....

He stood in the middle of the floor surronded by students dancing. He probably looked pretty funny. He stood on his tiptoes over looking almost everyone.

A smile formed on Amelia's face as she heard what he whispered in her ear. She just wanted to cry from the joy that she felt at that very moment, from knowing she was loved and always will be. "Forever and ever, babe," she said quietly.

Swaying with Tancred for a few more minutes, the music then changed and she grinned when told her that she was to lead this dance. "Oh alright, but I'm not really that good," she said with a chuckle, and began to dance all wildly with her hands in the air and shaking her hips.


ooc: omg!! you went to NY for new years eve?? I am so freaking jealous! That is like a goal of mine to at some point during my life, go to Times Square for new years eve.

Armand followed Danni out to the dance floor and started dancing close to her, knowing he'd need to hear her without others doing so. "We need a good tango or waltz out here, I swear..." It was rather odd, actually. He was used to being with his much much smaller wife. Danni at least came up to his shoulders. "So, what's up?"

Danni took a breath, and began to explain what she knew, "After you left our little... meeting, we all went down the the Ministry womans office to ask her what was going on and why she would be firing one of us. When we talked to her she revealed that Rae herslef had suggested firing one of the teachers. I dont know what went on afetr that, I was so angry and hurt, I had to get out of there before I lost my temper completly." she sad sadly. "I cant work somewhere where the person in charge will just invite someone to fire one of us, its just not right." she added looking up to Armand's face.

He frowned. "The Headmistress? Cassandra? She actually..." He shook his head. "Why would she do something like that? When I talked to her before she said she was going to do what she could to keep her from firing anyone." He sighed and took Danni's hand, and with one smooth motion twisted the two of them to a less crowded area of the dance floor, making it seem a part of the dance.

Danni shook her head, "I have no idea why, I didnt think she was like that. But regaurdless of why it happened, I cant stay."

"I didn't think she was either... Have you told her, then?"

"Not yet, I'm hoping to tell her after we go back to the table."
