There's a fantastic live band playing all sorts of old and beloved favorites. They're located on the dias that the staff table usually sits, and the entire room is full of loud and boisterous music. The tables have been pushed back to allow for dancing, and everyone is doing their best to keep up with the band.

Grab a partner and get out on the floor. Shoes are optional.

Ari had been wandering around aimlessly for quite some time now, before finally spotting Laylee and that boy.

'HI!' she called brightly, before dashing over to them. 'You're that boy, aintcha? Candleabra? Chandelier? Chandan? Chandan, that's it!'.

She really wanted to ask him about his past, but they just met. Surely if it was bad, he wouldn't want to tell a complete stranger.

At that moment, a rather large calico furball streaked out from under a table and collided with Jordan's legs. Jordan swayed on his feet before catching the cat up by the scruff of his neck and holding its face an inch from his own.

"Trystyn, you little menace, how many times have I told you-" he stopped himself and lowered his voice. With a slight strain, he looked at Miss Lilly. "I'm sorry, I've got to run. Trystyn only comes out when he needs me for something..."

ooc: It's quarter after 9 in the AM and I've not slept a wink all night long. I've got to be going... sorry love. Another time? Another term, actually...

Xana grinned at his comment. "So true." She continued to dance with him. "Oh, I don't know specifically-- just healthy. Maybe even adopting as well, down the line. "My feet hurt," she explained, smiling sheepishly as she began dancing again. Erin grabbed one of Mister Pillow Thief's hands and used it to twirl herself around once more. As usual, she was grinning.

The music wasnt really bad but it wasnt something he was used to listen. He missed a bit is rock music but he wasnt going to complain either. This was a nice fun moment and in top of that it was almost the end of the term which meant that every seconds should be cherish.

Still dancing but getting a bit closer in order to listen to what she had to say, he could hardly see why Agie would be mad at the fact that she had come in the conversation. Yes, they were in a middle of something but its not like it was something big. "She can have quite a tempered and I doubt the fact that your were flirty.... And yes I notice that but I dont think that she was in anyway jealous over that. We are good friends but I cant imagine anything more than that." It was unusually strange to think that Agie might have a crush on him. It was more unreal than imaginable. He had to admit that after the kiss, it could be interprated like that but he was sure that they were more to it.

Noticing that she seems a bit uncomfortable, he looks at her while she went toward one of the table in order to take out her shoes. When he saw that they were heels, he rolled is eyes. "How could anyone walks in these,"he thought. Laughing a bit about the situation, he watch her as she came back toward him.

Still laughing a bit, he nodded at her. "Well I can easily imagine why. This most be quite painful to walks in." Letting her having a bit of control, he had to admit that he couldnt have ask for a better partner to have fun with.

"Yeah i would like one. I dont know.. i have a family, but its not like a family. We were torn apart after my mother died. She was sorta like our glue i think. My father needed her especially. She kept him at bay. Anyway for me I would like to have a girl. Im use to having Madeline around me, taking care of her and things like that. " he smiled," Its fun...but work at the same time. " he was seriously thinking before he made his next comment." If i had any sons i would only have two. Not a third one." he said as their was some family history to that one. it would take time to explain.

Josh stopped playing wit her hair when she asked and sighed. So complicated his family was." Theirs is something special about the third son of my family. I know..because i am that one in my family. Some how down the line of my family from every generation their has been a third son which becomes an auror. The parents take them away and train them from a young age for auror life. That son isnt like the others. Just because he is the third son he already .. posses higher magical level then the others. Much more. Anyway they train them to be aurors. Thats why my father was so upset. Im suppose to carry on the tradition. I wouldnt make him do anything. Its his life he can do what he wants with it. The thing is.. with that much power...its difficult. To control... and --" he sighed she might as well know. " to control the other side as they call it. My great grandfather was a dark lord in another country. Their is always the possibility to be turned. That for them would be rather bad. for anyone really." he said as he then looked at her with pleading eyes. He was afraid to tell her because it would scare her away," Im not like him... Jason Potter Weasley was having fun, heard the good dance beat of the Muggle music, disco he remembers it is called as he is part -muggle. He saw the movie "Saturday Night Fever" and he was amazed by John Travlota
s moves as Tony Manero in the movie. Jason particurlarly liked the song" You Should be Dancing" and the dance that was perfromed by John travolta in the movie. "jason knew the steops, did not need a partner and emulated tony Manero" "I can cut quite a 'rug" he said to himself and beamed with everyone looking at him in amazement.

Evangeline had decided to give the sock hop another chance. After all everything seemed to be slightly better now. She still had an urgent need of chocolate however and the fastest way to the buffet was the dance floor. That was the only reason she was there, the get to her chocolate malt quicker.

She saw something that almost made her forget her wish for chocolate. She burst out laughing noticing Jason dancing in the middle of the dance floor all alone. He seemed to be in the mood for a Sock Hop alright. “Hey Jason!” She greeted him, trying hard to fight her laughter. “Having fun?”

Evangeline chuckled. “Oh I see. You must be well trained in the art of dancing to old muggle songs.” Great, the lack of chocolate had resulted in talking nonsense. She eyed Jason, grinning as she recognised the outfit. “Elvis Presley eh?” One of her Mother’s many passions. "You look good." She looked down at her poodle skirt, she actually liked it now. Not that she’d wear it out of the ball.

When Jason invited her to dance she bit her lip. “I don’t know Jason. See, I have no idea of how to…do 50’s dances.” It was true, and she already had fallen about a million times this term. “And how do you know I want chocolate?” Was Jason a mind reader?

The music was infectious, and Alanna started by simply bouncing a bit to the beat. Soon, however, the skirt was spinning and turning every which way, led by Alanna's simple dance moves. It was a lot easier to have fun, she realized, when she wasn't worried about messing up her hair or about people watching her.

Jayden came out to the dance floor. It was finally over, the term. He wanted to have some fun and not worry about everything that he would have to worry about in a few days. He looked around for a dance partner. Jai might not be out here but that didnt mean he couldnt dance with noone else. He searched for a girl. He loved dancing and was pretty good at it.

Alanna froze a bit when the boy tapped her shoulder. Miraculously, she didn't blush. Hogwarts really must have changed her, if she wasn't blushing when a stranger talked to her.

"Um...I'm not much for dancing with other people," Alanna said apologetically, "I have difficulty enough dancing on my own." She wasn't surprised to find that even after seven years, she was almost unbelievably shy.

Jayden laughed. "Jayden Kingsley. Im only a fifth year so I got two more years." he responded her watched her dance for a short hile before looking away. If she didnt want to dance with hiom then she probably didnt want him staring at her while she danced.

Jeremiah Turner strolled casually onto the dance floor. Years before he never would have seen himself here. He would have obviously envisioned himself at Durmstrang, his original school for the first three years of his life.

But here he was, and it was his last night. Jeremiah wasn't sure how he felt about it, or whether he had really gotton anything out of the place. But he did know that his male urges were telling him to at least do something productive with this generous opportunity. And the girl who had already turned down another was an intriguing possibility.

Moving quietly behind the girl with the radient crimson hair, Jeremiah wound his hand around her waist, causing her movements to stop abruptly, most likely in surprise. "No, do keep dancing," he crooned. "I have yet to learn this type of bobbing-dancing."
