ooc: I don't currently have the images for it, but there will be small pixel images of the plants once I get the chance.

Along the student gardens are the cherry trees which were grafted in term 15, and the Northern planters are occupied by the student hybrids created at the end of term 16.

There are several empty planters, and a large plot of tilled soil, ready for planting. There's a student shed as well that's open, with potting soil, watering cans, and any tools the students might need. A pond is to the west of the garden to fill the watering can.

Excelsior's White Lily x Tiger Lily (unnamed): a lily which looks much like the tiger lily, though a light yellow color
Rapunzel's Honking Daffodil x Narcicuss (unnamed): a petite narcicuss which squeak

Jasmine's plumeria rubra acutifolia x catharanthus roseus (unnamed): a deep-blue colored Frangipani
Sho's Silver Rose x Yellow Carnation Sunrise Carnation: large-petaled carnations which look like a metallic yellow
Ariana's Pink Rose x Blue Rose (unnamed): roses with red petals that fade to purple

North-Western Planter

Hermy's Sword Leaf Iris x Winter Love Lily (unnamed): slender spread petals, shimmering in purple, blue, and gold
Ryan's Royal Iris x Easter Lily Rowena's Knight: lily with frilled petals in blue and purple
Bess's Dark Mauve Iris x Light Pink Lily (unnamed): dark pink lily with specks of deep violet adorning the center

Lizzie continued to look back and forth from Sho's flower. "I'm a fourth year," she said as she finished drawing one of the flower's petals. "I transferred from Durmstrang so Hogwarts is a new experience for me," she said. Then noise brought her attention. There were two Slytherins who were screaming the garden down. But they soon seemed to have calmed down and Lizzie resumed her drawing. "It's kinda hard to find new friends. Did you have trouble?" Lizzie asked Sho.

Hermy picked up her things and walked around the the rest of the garden. As she did, she noticed another girl sketching.

"I didn't realise there was anyone else sketching," she said. "I'm Hermy, I've been painting over the other side." She gestured towards that part of the garden. "Wow, thats a beautiful sketch - am I right in saying its of that one there," she pointed and paused to read the tag, "the sunrise carnation?"

Lizzie looked up and smiled at the other girl. "Hi Hermy. I'm Elizabeth, I really hate that name though. Thank you," she said, looking back at her drawing. "Yep. You're right. It's that flower. Sho, here," she said pointing at Sho. "was the one that grew it."

Sho smiled to the girl that had just walked over. He tested the soil on last time and looked up at the castle.

"Nice meeting you two, but I must get back inside."

He started back for the castle and turned to wave.

"Bye!!"

[COLOR="Navy"]Hermy smiled as she glanced from the picture as the girl spoke. "So how do you prefer to be known?" she inquired. At the mention of Sho, Hermy noticed the other Ravenclaw standing with them. She vaguely recognised him from the hybrid class.

"Hi there," she said, her curly hair bouncing on her shoulders as she turned to see Sho better. "Nice hybrid!"
She waved as he returned to the castle. "See you again soon!"

"I love the way you've formed the background, the way the main flower still stands out whilst the background is interesting and full."

Lizzie turned around, smiled at him and waved. "See ya later Sho!" she said, loudly but in a delicate way. She then turned back to Hermy, "Well, Liz, Lizzie, Beth, those are the common nicknames I have." Lizzie smiled and finished the stem of a flower. "Thanks, Herms. I've worked for quite a while to make that type of touch on my drawings," she said.

"It was certainly worth putting that time in, it's a beautiful style," Hermy said, flicking her gaze between flower and paper. She watched Lizzie work, and pulled out her own sketchpad.

Working quickly and lightly, Hermy started to form an image that slightly resembled a person holding something rectangular in front of some vegetation. With the rough shapes in, Hermy pulled her watercolours out of her bag and mixed a pale green to block in the background. She smiled as she worked, eyes twinkling and a dimple appearing in her left cheek.

"So, what's your favourite medium to work with? I must admit I prefer acrylics, but do like the challenge of working will quill and ink."

Lizzie smiled and nodded her head. She continued on drawing the flowers and their pots. "Considering I'm a half-blood, I usually like using sketching pencils, but quill and ink works for me. I like painting a lot," she said, smiling. Then she started to draw the wall of the greenhouse behind the flowers. "Do you normally use references? I mean, I like to work off from their with inspiration, but, I don't normally use references," she said.

Hermy moved on to a skin tone colour. "I'm a half blood too, and I often use pencil to do little rough sketches on the spot." She rinsed her brush and glanced up at the scene above.

"References?" She paused, then replied. "I guess I prefer recording the scenes I see in front of me, sometimes exactly - focusing on a particular image, but often with a bit of artistic license to observe the atmosphere and mood."

She sat back from her picture whilst she waited for the paint to dry. "So, what's your favourite, portraits, still life or landscapes?"

Lizzie throught dreamily. "Still life. Landscapes are my second favorite though, and then there's moving things, including people and animals," she said, happily. She soon finished her drawing and leaned back as she squinted her eyes for anything that needed fixing.

Hermy nodded. "Yep, still life for me too, then followed closely by landscapes. I love sketching various scenes around Hogwarts, views across the lake and the like. But, people move...and that can be terribly annoying when drawing a composition!"

She felt some of her painting to check it was dry. Picking up a thin brush, she looked at Lizzie's complexion and hair and gradually started to work in some detail. "Animals? Not sure I could manage animals, well...except Herc my owl, he's pretty patient if I give him treats. And a couple of my friend's pets."

Liz chuckled. "Animals work out pretty great for me!" she said smiling. She then put her flower drawing back into her sketchbook.

Oh no! Ryan had almost forgotten to water his plant! How rude of him. To not care for such a being, which came into existence because of him!

Poor little flower.

Ryan rushed to the watering can and grabbed it, sloshing water everywhere. He poured some on his plant. It immediately looked happier. It had been looking thirsty earlier. Who knew plants could look thirsty?

He sprinkled some more fertilizer around the plant's base.

"That should be better," he said.

He sat on the ground and looked at his plant. "Sorry," he said. "I can't believe I almost forgot about you! So how have you been?"

His eyes bugged when he realized what he was doing. "I'm talking to a plant! I must be crazy!"

Hermy worked in some more detail to her paintwork. "You'll have to show me the best way to capture them sometime then...animals never seem to be patient enough for me!" She paused for a moment in her work, before setting donw her brush.

"Can you guess who it is yet?"

Liz turned her head to see a boy her age, talking to his plant. She suppressed a laugh and said to him, "Plants are living beings. They can hear you." It wasn't a lie, it was the truth, yet it sounded funny. She turned to Hermy and asked, "Hmm?" Liz bent down to look at the picture. The picture somehow looked like here. Not quite everything was accurate, yet there was a feeling that Liz had that that was a picture of her. "It's me?" she guessed.

Sho walked into the gardens, Claudia in toe. He moved to the far end, near the shed where the watering cans were. His flower was still thriving beautifully, so he decided not to water it just yet.

"Alright, here we are. What did you want to talk about?" he asked, looking up at Claudian.

Claudian could no longer resist the alluring scent of Sho's famous brownies and he'd opened up the pretty box on the way to the gardens and helped himself to one. It kicked him, feet first into a sort of ecstasy that few things could. They were warm, sweet...but not too sweet, deep, and rich, with all the smolderiness of a 1940's torch singer, and a texture comparable to a denser cake...which was Claudian's favourite thing. The look on his face was serene and everything...well, nearly everything that troubled him in the last weeks of school was behind him.
He was in no particular rush to answer Sho's question, as he took his time to enjoy what was left of the brownie he'd started to eat. The last of the rich concoction down this throat, Claudian finally spoke.
"My tongue." He smiled serenely, thinking of Professor Eriksons words. "Why is it of such particular interest to you, Mr. Inagaki?" His tone was kind, and patient, even inviting. He nibbled on his thumb to get some of the fudge from the brownie off of it. Can't let it's precious decadence go to waste after all.

Sho couldn't help but chuckle a bit as Claudian ate the brownie he had taken out of the box. Apparently Sho could bring any foe down with the power of cake instead of bothering with magic.

He shook his head and smiled. He was rather glad that everyone liked his baked goods. Maybe he should go into baking instead of law... or both...

He looked up as Claudian casually asked his question. Sho wasn't sure how to answer it really. He was pretty much Cassandra's arch rival and he had a thing for the truth.

"Well... it... well, I knew she was lying. I don't think I've heard much truth ever come out of that girl's mouth..." he said, realizing something.

"I guess that I didn't think you should be a part of her elaborate lies to me... and I knew the truth... though now that I think about it, I technically saved her integrity..." he rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"All that and if I could establish that she was lying, I would know to take more caution with future testimony from her. Why do you ask?"
