He walked back over to the board and wrote the following quote on the board:

Katelyn didnt really know anything about potion herself, and therefore felt kinda stupid..but thats alright. She merely neatly wrote some notes down, along with her opinions about the quote. Opinions..she always wrote them down for some reason. She glanced over at Dan and Ems, and smiled again before looking back and continuing her neat note taking. She looked up as the professor started to talk again, and quickyl scribbled down everything he said. She examined her notes, and nodded in approval.

Celestina listened intently. Anything could be poisonous. She nodded as she wrote it down. Once finished, Bucky frowned, tapping her chin with the feather of her quill. If anything was poisonous, inhaling too much oxygen was bound to be poisonous but what kind of effect would that have on a person.
Cocking one brow, Bucky swiveled in her chair, quill still resting against her chin. Maybe this would explain the female population of Hogwart's odd behavior. It could also explain why Erikson had suddenly up and decided that he would cheat on Blaylock with De Luca the crazy cleaning lady.
And it would also explain why everything thought they could touch her boyfriend.
They were all dead!
And then Bucky realized she had raised her quill threateningly. Lowering it back down hoping no one had seen, she smiled sheepishly. Oh, just in case.

Zoraida had gotten to class just before it began and was sitting in the back. All she seemed to be able to do so far was to take notes. However she was happy her house mate had managed to earn them a bunch of points. She continued listening and taking notes about potions and poisons.

"Now we all know the definition of a Poison, here's where it gets tricky.
A toxin is a poisonous substance produced by living cells or organisms. Usually the substance is a protein that is capable of causing disease on contact or absorption to the affected organism.
A venom is a toxin (i.e a poisonous substance produced by living cells) that the organism uses for defence or hunting.
So poison is a broad definition, some poisons are toxins and some toxins are venoms... if that makes sense.
