Despite the upheaval due to the precipitous arrival of the Ministry Official, Professor Branxton was his usual uptight and perfectly proper self. Nothing less than the kidnapping of his children seemed to phase him. He opened the door to his classroom and walked toward the chalkboard.
He waved his wand to charm a grid onto the backboard, then began to write in his perfect hand:

Seth jumped out of his chair at the sound of the windows breaking. He pointed his wand at somewhere between the two girls and focused. He then shouted "Protego!" A faint barrier formed between the girls. He just hoped it was enough.

Torie was about ready to try the spell again when a loud bang was heard and all the windows in the classroom shattered. Instinctively, Torie ducked under her desk and covered her head with her arms, in hopes of protecting herself from the flying glass.

She looked at her arm, it was bleeding but she didn't want to feel the pane she just screamed to Kayla "Calm down Kayla!" she said trying to hide the big cut.

Gwen's arms flew up to shield her face from the flying glass. Her mouth dropped open.
Huh. So she is barking mad.
The shield between her mouth and mind shattered.
"Are you BARKING?!" she hollered. "You could hurt someone!"
She stood up and waved her wand in a sweeping arc. "Reparo!" The glass flew back into their panes.

Laylee gasped as the windows broke. She looked over at the young Hufflepuff who had done it and rolled her eyes. She was thoroughly annoyed at this point. She sighed inwardly and flicked her wand as the widows fixed themselves.
Laylee had taught herself a clean up charm in an attemp to clean her dorm-mates messes...

Clifford couldn’t be bothered to bend down and retrieve his books to try the packing spell again; there was no point as he knew he’d never get it right. And so sat quietly, his chin resting in his hand as he stared into space.
So, that’s how he remained, calm and undisrupted – until …
“EARTHCAKE!!!!” He had heard about those big massive explosions from somewhere. “EARTHCAKE!! Run for cover!!!” And with that, he dived off his stool and crawled under the table.

Kayla was so shocked at what she had done that she dropped her wand. She looked around the room at the devastation she had caused and felt utterly sick. "I didn't do it on purpose" she said weakly. "It was an accident, I wasn't trying to hurt anyone. It just happened..."

Ari ducked as the glass shattered, her mind reeling with the emotions of the girl. She kept her head down, ignoring everyone around her a headache formed in her head, softly pounding as the noise erupted around her.
She got up, her head beginning to pound with the sensations. Walking up to her fellow Ravenclaw, Laylee, she whispered, "If the professor asks, I've gone to the Hospital Wing, my head is pounding now." She smiled sadly holding her head as she walked out the door.

There were no words, no anger, no reaction to Kayla shattering all the windows in the classroom.
That sad look on his face became one of disappointment as Helios stood back up, and quietly exited the classroom among the uproar.

Willow saw everything happened in fron of her eyes. She ducked herself under her table until the shattered glass was under the table. She came out of the table once she thought the danger was gone and snapped to both of the girls "hey, if you wanna have a fight, then have it. But keep us, the one's who don't really care or have nothing to do with it, out of it" she gave them one last glare and took sit.
