Despite the upheaval due to the precipitous arrival of the Ministry Official, Professor Branxton was his usual uptight and perfectly proper self. Nothing less than the kidnapping of his children seemed to phase him. He opened the door to his classroom and walked toward the chalkboard.
He waved his wand to charm a grid onto the backboard, then began to write in his perfect hand:

Ari watched as the professor did the basic wand movement and did the same, sweeping her wand over her desk. "Seems easy enough." She said, turnng to her notebook to write it down before looking up to see the next movement. She placed a piece of crumpled parchment on her desk and said, "Pack." as she swept her wand. It went into her bag with a soft flump.

Willow watched the professor. She took out her wand and look for something in her pocket, she took out a small mirror and put it carefully in the table. Swepting her wand confindently she said, "Pack!". She watched her mirror going into her bag softly

Excelsior placed a tiny notebook on the table and said the word "Pack!", doing the sweeping motion with his wand as the professor had demonstrated. The notebook softly fell into his bag, making only a small thump as it hit. | |

Laylee watched the wand moveent carefully and took out her own wand. She closed her text book on her desk and said, "Pack!"
She watched as her book slowly went into her bag on the ground. She smiled and said. "Wingardium Leviosa!" And put her book back on her desk.

He nodded as the students practiced. "Very good. The packing charm is actually quite easy. The hard part and what takes the most practice and a certain amount of innate skill is getting your things to pack neatly. There are a number of little tweaks to the charm and the key is your desire Some people, even with perfect wand motions, are just unable to fold or keep clothing folded while packing or even manage to ensure that everything ends up in its place. So, do not feel frustrated if all you manage is to get your things in your bag. However, for those of us who are bit more... particular... You can practice refining your technique and experiment with wand motions to see if you can get your things to pack more neatly.
"The next motion I will demonstrate will fold or keep clothing folded when you are packing. It can also be used to just make the packing a bit neater all around. The key is the twisting flick at the beginning or the end. I prefer to do it at the beginning as I get much better and neater results but, some people prefer to do it at the end, which seems to make the packing quicker. I will demonstrate both techniques."
Professor Branxton unpacked the bag and then demonstrated the twisting flick at the end of the sweep. As the shirt moved toward the bag it folded itself and the rest of the items packed on top of it. He held the bag out to show the neatly packed items, though the shirt was still a bit rumpled. After demonstrating with the twist in the beginning, the shirt folded itself before zooming to the bag, the result being a pristine shirt and all items meticulously placed.

Cassandra removed her house robe and placed it on the table in front of her. She followed the wand movement the professor was teaching and watched as the robe folded itself and shoved itself into her bag... well that's no good. All wrinkly...
Cassandra pulled out the robe out and again placed it on her table. After 4 tries, finally the robe placed itself neatly into the bag.

Excelsior finished watching the video, he found it very informative, especially after the professor had just demonstrated all the proper motions in class and this was great for reinforcement. He thought both movements were very impressive and decided to try the one with the twist movement at the beginning. Having as neat an appearance as possible was important, after all. He practiced the movement with a torn piece of fabric. The first time it was kind of folded, more wrinkled, but about the third time of practicing the charm the fabric when into his bag beautifully, perfectlly folded as it was supposed to. He took the fabric out and began practicing with the method where the twist was done at the end, but decided he did like the first method he had tried the best.
Excelsior realized it was going to be rather difficult to get everything to line up neatly in the end, but he thought this an altogether useful charm. He continued practicing all three styles of packing. | |

Willow thought that this packing-folding for her will have no use as the house elves back at home where the ones who folded all her clothes. Still she decided to do it, "It's worth the shot", she thought distractredly. She took out her Ravenclaw scarf from her bag, and put it on the table. "Pack!". The scarf flied nicely folded in back bag. She smiled pleased as she though, that she was probably never gonna do that, "not until I have kids or something like that.." she thought

Laylee pulled her t-shirt from her bag that she had forgot to leave in the dorm and put it on her desk. "Pack!" She said with the loop at the beggining of her wand movement.
The shirt folded its self and went into her bag. But it looked quite wrinkled so she tried again. "Pack!" She said.
She ended up doing it another 2 times until she was satisfied with the result.
Then Laylee decided to try the other movement. "Pack!" She said with the loop movement at the end.
It was quicker, but much harder to keep the shirt nice and folded....

Ari watched as he finished the spell, her brow furrowing slightly as the things folded themselves nicely and packed them safely. Okay, looks easy enough she thought, digging through her bag for her Ravenclaw scarf, mitts and hat. Taking off her House robes, she deposited the onto the desk and ruffled them uo.
Next, she picked up her wand, and concentrated on sweeping her wand over the pile of clothing, giving it a loop at the end as she muttered, "Pack!" The items folded themselves messily nand went into her bag. Hmm, not quite she thought taking them out again and trying it diffrently. This time she gave a loop at the beginning, "Pack." she said sweeping her wand. The clothes folded themselves and went into her bag, somewhat more neatly. "Well, it's a start." She said to herself.

Gwen waved her wand over her scarf and tried the flick at the end. The scarf flopped halfway out of her bag, and her bag fell over.
"Oookay," she muttered under her breath. Maybe in the beginnning....
She tried it once more, and her scarf neatly folded itself in the air before diving to the very bottom of her bag.
Much better...at least my bag didn't fall over. | |

Monica decided to try something small, so she took her purse and placed it on the desk, she took her lipgloss out of her bag as well as her quill. She practiced the motion then tried the charm "Pack" She was quite satisfied as both her quill and her lipgloss went neatly back into her purse.

Kayla looked up at the Professor, they were supposed to get their clothes to fold themselves as well. She couldn't even get the books in front of her to go into her bag. She swept her wand through the air and muttered "Pack" the books just slid off the table onto the floor. Kayla sighed she could produce a fully fledged Patronus but she couldn't even make a couple of books go into her bag.

After several failed attempts, one in which his bumblebee colored scarf nearly choked him, the young prince was going to call it quits.
Heaving a deep sigh, something had overcome him. Now he was determined not to give up on this charm. He had something in his head so he can time his motions properly: Music
Suddenly overcome with determination, Helios upturned his bag onto the table, and prepared the melody in his head in sync with a gentle murmur of "Pack" as his belongings faithfully danced an organized chorus line back into his bag.

"Up." Helios said as if trying to use a charm on her. Gently he held both of her arms up "It helps to keep rhythm with your free hand. Assisting Kayla with the motions, the prince hummed a soft melody in her ear.

Kayla heard a couple of girls offering to help her with the spell and she raised her head slightly to see who it was when Helios was beside her pulling her to her feet. He was humming a soft tune in her ear and showing her the motions of the wand movement. She was only dimly aware of the people in the class. "Pack" she said faintly and to her great surprise the books moved off the desk into her bag in a nice orderly fashion.
"Th-Thank you Helios" she stammered as she sank back down into her seat her legs and arms were shaking. "I think I've got it now."

Ari shrugged casting a curious glance in th two Hfflepuffs dierction as they seemed to share a ... moment. She shook her head, clearly not amused and went back to her bag, taking out her books and scattering them. "Pack." she said sweeping her wand and flicking at the end. They seemed to soar gracefully into her bag, all neatly together, in order or shape. She frowned, an idea coming into her mind, which she didn't dare speak of out loud. It seemed that everytime she asked an innocent question the other Houses blew up at her. Sinking back into her chair, she sighed and continued practising.
