Professor Branxton unlocked the door to his classroom and lit the room with a wave of his wand as he stepped inside. He was immaculate as ever and began to clean his glasses while walking over to his desk to await the arrival of his first class of the term.

Anita jumped when the girl next to her asked her about learning all the charms. She didn't realize she had said that aloud.
She leaned over and whispered, "Yeah, I'm a first year. Probably pretty obvious too. My name's Anita"

"Right..." Whende said. Of course he was fine. She just about choked on her own spit. The color drained out of her cheeks. Did she say that? She wasn't supposed to say that. Crap. "Ha... haha... no," she lied. "Course not." I said they were very attractive. Not the same thing. Not really.

She picked up a pencil and tried to catch up on what she missed. She couldn't remember what anyone had said while she was going on about knees. Stupid... mouth. Her nose twitched again. Something smelled stinky. Icky.

When tapped her pencil against her desk. "You're pants are on fire," she said absently.

The paper bounced off the back of Astral's head.
She turned to see who had thrown it.
No one looked like they were going to own up.
Astral sunk further down into her seat. Oh great I've made myself unpopular within the first few mintues of the first lesson! She thought. But point taken, she shut up and listened.

Saylie had been writing frantically, trying to get all of the charms mentioned onto the parchment. She had been confused when the professor had said to pick one, how could she possibly pick only one of these Charms? She waited to hear what the other students wanted to learn, to see which ones would be most useful or needed.

Hearing that they were going to perform the Four Point Spell, Saylie took out her wand and sat quietly awaiting instructions.

Celestina still looked forward, seated upright in her seat. Giggling at Whende's comments she didn't dare look at her in fear she'd have to look at Tag's face then she'd really laugh or feel ashamed and ask for forgiveness. So. "You, my dear," he muttered under his breath, "Just made a very big mistake."

Watching Tag in such an irritated state was amusing, or half-watching as she was doing. So her soft laughter continued, shoulders bouncing still with her. Celestina hadn't meant to zap him so violently but then again, feelings had an odd way of affecting one's magic.

"Is that so?" Bucky whispered out of the corner of her mouth, a small smirk joining her face afterwards. "What are you going to do? Zap me again?"

This would be an adequate moment to throw one's head back and laugh loudly but they were in class and Bucky didn't think Professor Branxton would find such behavior normal nor acceptable. Then he ordered for them to take out their wands. So far, it was a no go for the Hovering Charm.

Holding her wand she awaited further instructions.

Gem watched the first years and frowned ever so slightly. "Hiya," she whispered, leaning in to Astral. "I'm Gem... Look you'll get used to it. The pace, I mean. Doesn't your mind feel all full already? They keep pouring information into you until you're nice and wise. Let me help..." She murmured, taking her quill and scribbling down, Locomotor: “Loco” is Latin for “place”. “Moto” is Latin for “to move”. Causes an object to travel floating in the air. The incantation used is Locomotor XXXX, where XXXX is the object that the caster wishes to enchant. in kiddish cursive. " That's it in short and I, and I'm sure my pet toad, Mud, would love to help and practice anytime," she added, before attacking her own notes, swinging her legs rapidly off of the edge of her seat.

Mallory was a bit saddened that they wouldn't be learning much about the Time-Turners. At least I'll get to spend time in the Library.

She took out her wand as instructed. Okay, Four Point spell...why does that sound familiar?

Curt sat in class, busy doodling on his parchment rather than taking notes. He had roughly sketched some stick-figures flying towards a goal-post with the quaffle in hand. He woud prod it with his wand every so often and watch the figures fly across his paper, throwing the quaffle through one of the three hoops. Curt smiled to himself, his brother Jared had taught him this little trick over the summer...

Curt looked back up to the Professer and wondered what on earth they were talking about, until he looked over at the heading of another persons paper and it was labaled: Traveling Charms. Curt automatically thought of broomsticks, laughing as he looking down at his parchment. Finally, Curt wiped his parchment clean and started to take notes on what the Professor was saying, it was important to get off to a good start this year.

Curt took out his wand, looking up at the Professor confused. He had never heard of the four-point spell. But since they were talking travel, it had to do something with cardinal directions. He looked around the room before sitting back in his chair, waiting for further instruction.

Anita pulled out her wand, excited at the prospect of learning her first spell. "Gosh, I hope I don't make a complete fool of myself," she thought to herself. She was so desperate to prove that she belonged in the house the Sorting Hat had put her in.

Ariana, who had been sitting in the corner quietly writing down notes in long hand, twirled her quill as she looked up, waiting for the professor to continue. She hadn't felt like speaking much, so kept quiet, sneaking glances toward Bucky and Tag, frowning slightly as Tag seemed to jump. She stifled a laugh, smirking.

She was just about to look down and draw on her parchment when Professor Branxton asked for everyone to take out their wands. She looked more chipper as she took hers out, feeling the new wand warm her hand quickly. She had only had it for a few weeks and was concerned it wouldn't work out well, especially since the last time she had tried using it her spell backfired.

She perked up visibly when she heard they were doing the Four Point spell, she had read about it in her textbook and really wanted to try it out. Sitting up she paid more attention, making sure her quill was ready for writing.

Astral felt it was rude not to answer the Ravenclaw girl. But she wasn't about to whisper in class again. She scribbled on the back page of her note book and tore it out.
"My name's Astral. And sitting next to me is Zora. Hi Anita!" it said. She put a few little stars around the message to make it look friendly.
She passed it to Anita

Cassandra pulled her wand out and set it on her hand. Professor Branxton was one of her favorite professors and she was ready to learn anything he had to teach her.

Torie took this opportunity as the class was getting itself organized to move up to where Laylee was sitting and plop down in a seat beside her. "Hi!" she whispered as she removed her wand from the pocket inside her robe. "Ready to learn a new charm?"

Marco pulled out his wand, rather lazily. Four point spell. He felt that was way below his ability. Since the incantation was Point me. Pah.

Zora saw out of the corner of her eye as some girl from the green team threw paper at her friend. Then watched as Astral sunk in her seat a bit. Zora picked up the paper from the floor and placed it on her desk. Debating throwing it back at the girl she did not.

Zora whispered to Astral " Don't worry about it. Sit up don't want her think she got the best of you." Then she turned towards the girl and just glared at her. As that was the most mature thing she could think to do. After class she thought was a different manner hopefully her friends would distract her from this bully wanna be. As she really did not like bullies messing with her or her friends.

Then turned back to her desk and looked at her wand on it. Waving to the girl in blue whom Astral was passing notes to.

Anita glanced over as a note was passed over to her. She quickly read it and wrote a short note back to the girl.

"Pleased to meet you!"

Anita quickly passed the note back to the girl with a smile before the professor had a chance to notice.

Astral fumbled in her bag for her wand. She had been so busy making silly little notes that she nearly missed the direction.
But she did turn to the older Ravenclaw girl.
"Thankyou so much!," she said politely.
Astral hadn't understood a word she had said - but she guessed it would come with practice.

Tori had been frantically taking notes throughout the lesson. She had heard the conversation between Zora and Astral, but was too busy to join in. When the professor announced that they'd be practicing the four-point spell, Tori took out her wand and waited for more instructions.

Emily had given up writing notes.. She now sat with her head resting on her hand gazing off into the distance, a glazed expression on her face. She suddenly snapped out of her daydream when the other students stated to get their wands out. She followed suit, taking her wand out ready. “This is more like it,” she thought .

Katelyn sighed as she finished her hurried and rather scribbled notes. Jeeze...people talk fast... she muttered to herself, and cracked her knuckles, for they were hurting from thre from her furious writing. She was a bit happy that they were finally going to try out a charm, and pulled out her wand gently. She still had the lime green ribbon on it from last year, and was happy she hadnt lost it. She wanted to put a little personality on her wand...her favorite color was enough.

"Four point spell?" Kerry sighed to herself. She was hoping for something a bit more exciting, but took out her wand just the same and twirled it gently between her fingers as she awaited instructions as to what to do next.

Camira was glad to be finally getting in some actual practice. All the note- taking and whispering had made her head hurt. She pulled out her wand, happy because she already knew this spell. Her mother had taught it to her so she wouldn't get lost in the gardens at home when she was young.
