Kerry raised her hand and added "The personality number tells what your personality looks like by others, you're outter appearance of how people see you, kinda like what their first impression is of you. It's what validates or defines you I guess."

"That is correct. 1 point!"

"Excellent explanation. 1 point to you!"

"The Personality Number not only helps you make the best possible impression, it invites you to see yourself as others see you. Of course, what others see may not really be a true reflection of who you are, of your inner self, which is why we leave that to the Soul Number.

"Finding your Personality Number is as simple as adding together the consonants of your name in a similar fashion to what we did with the vowels. Take a look at my example."

"Now, I would like you all to calculate your own Personality Numbers and then reference the textbook for its meaning. Be sure to evaluate its applicability."

Kerry began to write down her name again, this time taking the bottom line of numbers that represented the consonants in her name, she began to add them up.
Kerry then turned to her textbook and began skimming to find out what this mean for her. She found the page and began to read:
Kerry gasped. "Gullible? Flair for dramatic? Am I really? I mean I'll take the generous, kind-hearted, warm, caring and philosophical." Kerry laughed, "It's funny what others see in you that you don't, I guess." Kerry said aloud, as she jotted the notes into her journal.

"Professor, there's no chance of ummm...changing our numbers? Are there? You know...to better suit ourselves?" Kerry laughed as she finished her notes.

Zoraida sat in her seat towards the front. Apparently they had to do non-vowels this time. Taking her math from before and removing the ones where the vowels were.

Then she looked up what the number 1 meant. Besides that she had just earned one point but that likely had little to due with the math she had just preformed.

Seemed interesting and actually seemed to fit her pretty well. Which was good as the odds were high her math was correct or at least that is what she thought.

Tori began doing the math in her notebook. Looking up at where she had assigned numbers to each of the letters in her name earlier, she wrote,

So her number was 4. Flicking to the correct page in her textbook, Hermy noted down the following:

She nodded as she read this through, many of the things noted were definitely talking about her.

"This time there was no need of vowels, so it should be easier". Willow looked at her notebook again and began doing the math:

Willow looked that her personality number and then went for her book quickly to read what it meant:

Willow read what the number 9 meant quickly. "Wow" she said quietly. She indeed was almost everything that said in there except for the fact that she didnt dreesed to dramatically

Josey drew a line under her work for the soul urge number and moved on to her personality number.

Josey looked up the analysis for a personality number of 1.
That completed, Josey then surveyed her numbers. There, the consonant numbers for her first name added up to 22, a master number. She reduced it to 4 so she could find her total personality number, but then Josey raised her hand. “Professor, I have a master number from my first name. Do I still reduce it to find my complete personality number? I mean, is it just a deeper description of me since the master number isn’t in my total?” she said. She hope she was asking good questions.

Excelsior wrote down the interpretation for the number 11, a number he felt was particularly key to him.

Touy carefully added up her numbers. Her 1st name was a 9 that was interesting. Pursing her lips together she continued on her last name was 9 which when add to the other 9 it equaled 18 which reduced equaled 9. Its obvious that 9 was her number. The meaning of nine.
Well some of that really did sound true.

'Easy enough. What could possibly go wrong.' Claudian thought as he wrote out his name and calculated his personality number.

And it spooked him.

Professor Shackleton laughed and replied, "You can't change the number itself, but you can use the knowledge that the number gives you to make an effort to change the way you present to others. That is, after all, the entire purpose of learning what the numbers tell us."

"For this particular number, you would reduce it first and sum it with your middle and last. The only Master Number truly important in the Personality Number would be the final one, in which case, you would not reduce."

Professor Shackleton looked at her watch and decided to end the class without finishing all the material she had hoped to cover. She explained, "I'm going to end class here for now. I will hold an extra class to cover the Core Companions that we have not yet discussed. Your homework will be posted within the next day or two, so keep an eye out. You will have exactly one week from the time it goes up to complete the assignment and turn it in to me. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon!"

Jess gathered her things and said"Goodbye professor.Have a nice day!"

Tori closed her notebook and stood up, then walked out of the classroom. She had really enjoyed the lesson; she had found it really interesting. Tori had learned a lot about what her name and her birth date could determine about her.

Zora closed up her journal and packed her things into her bag. It was interesting how things she would have just disregarded as sleep over games using numbers and names and such. Now are important and are actually real to some extent. She did however really enjoy this class as it really had no wand waving and was just numbers and books. Two things that if she worked hard she could do.

Then she walked out of the classroom and off towards her dorm or the freedom outside.

Willow packed up all her belongings thinking that it has been definately an interesting class. "Good Bye professor, have a nice day!" she said before leaving the classroom

Austin tucked his notebook and quill into his bag, standing up and walking toward the door, he stopped in front of the professor "very interesting lesson, have a nice day" and with that he slung his book bag over his shoulder and walked out of the classroom.

Professor Shackleton bid farewell to each of the students as they exited her classroom. As soon as the room was cleared, Professor Shackleton stepped through the doorway, closed the door behind her, and with the flick of her wand locked them securely until the next lesson.
