| | Lesson 1: Introduction to Arithmancy and the Energy of Numbers You enter the Arithmancy classroom to see neat and exactly-positioned rows of wooden desks and chairs, the latter of which have cushions in a myriad of colors and textures to match your comfort and liking. The walls are filled with thick wooden shelves, on which rest a seemingly endless number of Arithmancy texts and the occasional Ancient Runes and Divination reference. When you look to the front of the room, you see a tall, blonde-haired woman leaning against a desk made of dark angelique wood. In contrast to the darkness of the desk, this woman appears bright and vibrant, some of it due to her bright fuschia robes and some of it due to the vitality of her aura. The woman, your professor, is a new face among the Hogwarts staff. She smiles at you as you enter the classroom and gestures for you to take a seat... |

| Help us we're a bunch of letters stuck in this box !! Wedged between the Griffindor prefect and the Griffindor Quidditch captain, Tag wrestled with his quill, knawing on the tip with severity as both of them answered the professor's questions. Why was he still in this class? Hadn't he failed it enough times? Oh wait.
You would think a student with a number for a last name would have some kind of intuitive gifting in arithmancy, but perhaps it was the exact opposite. Tag was beginning to wonder if the number seven really stood for confusion, cluelessness, and being sorted into the wrong house.
He prodded Kerry with one elbow. "I think the number seven's all wrong," he whispered.

Isabella had no idea what other flowers could be related to the number 7, so she just listened.

Claudian's hand again hit the air. "The eastern Lotus, Professor. It has long been thought of as a plant for meditative and introspective thought." |

Zora thought about flowers and tried to think of purple ones. Zora said "Butterfly bushes as they are purple and wise enough to get butterflies to land on them to spread pollen around to other bushes. " However she thought her answer was a bit silly she did like butterflies as they were pretty flying about.

Kerry raised her hand, “well the hyacinth means constancy, which I think would go well with the qualities of wisdom, intuition and logic, as you need constancy for all that. Umm. I think the Iris also goes well with the number 7... I believe the Iris symbolizes hope, wisdom and valor.”
Kerry turned to Tag as he poked her and smirked, "yeah and why's that?" curious as to his crazy thoughts on the matter.

Ginny thought about it, this seemed like a very open ended question "How about a rose becouse they seem reserved and they have an inner wisdom, for example each beutifull flower has a few very sharp thorns." ginny wonder out load hoping it idnt sound as silly in her head as it did when she spoke it.

By the looks of it, he seems to have a trouble with something. It's not that the class was the hardest ever but now talking about plant and stuff, it was definitively not his thing. Still trying to figure out an answer, nothing was coming at him, so he decided to let go this one and maybe the next one would be easier.
Thinking about something he said: "I believe Aloe is for Wisdom and integrity, Artemesia symbolise dignity, Bay Wreath is rewarding Merit and Camomile is for initiative and ingenuity"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Brianna Lynn Bunch First Year | "Maybe White Roses?" Saylie hadn't really prepared herself for this question. She took a guess based on what she knew of flowers. She'd read somewhere that White Roses express Purity/heavenly, secrecy, silence, innocence and charm, and that seemed to fit the question.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sloane W. Fordyce First Year | Cheesy Mac Professor Shackleton listened receptively as the students provided ideas for which flowers matched well with the number seven. Again, she found herself surprisingly pleased with the students' intuition and understanding! Keeping her smile from engulfing the rest of her face, Macadrian said, "You all have wonderful suggestions! Those of you who offered up a flower may be quite useful to my research on the number nine. If you are interested in assisting me in this area - flowers associated with the number nine - compile a list of the plantlife you think may be associated with nine's qualities, colors, and pertinent information and stop by my office sometime soon." Macadrian quickly referenced her lesson plan to determine which numbers she wished to cover next. When she found what she was looking for, she asked, "For our last subject area of the day, we are going to move on to a group of numbers known as the Master Numbers. There are three major numbers. Please give me an example of just one of these numbers and its main associated qualities."

Isabella remembered reading about the number 22 because it was associated with the Virgo, which was her astrological sign. She answered the question, "The master number 22 is associated with the words: Master organizer, spiritual, organizes large undertakings, brings dreams into reality, practical idealism, ambitious, intuitive, inspired, disciplined, methodical, natural leader, wise, confident, hard-working, competent, honest, creative, great achievement, evolution, redemption" |

"The 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers. It represents illumination; a channel to the subconscious; insight without rational thought; and sensitivity, nervous energy, shyness, and impracticality. For the 11, such peace is not found so much in logic, but in faith. It is the psychic's number."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Brianna Lynn Bunch First Year | "One of the Master numbers is twenty-two. It is considered the Master of all number. Qualities associated with it are ambitious, intuitive, inspired, and disciplined." Saylie thought that this number related well with her and wondered how you found out which number was your master number, she decided to ask the professor about it after class. She then added, "It has many of the inspirational insights of the 11, combined with the practicality and methodical nature of the 4. It is unlimited, yet disciplined."
