Lainey took a deep, appreciative breath as she entered her long abandoned classroom. It was a little musty and a few more spiders than usual, but still the same on the whole.
Lainey had to stoop as she entered. Today, she was dressed like a muggle witch. Her hat protruded high above her head. She thought she looked rather spiffing, really. And when she looked spiffy, she liked for all her students to look spiffy too. That'd come later though.
For now, Lainey took her usual post by the door and awaited her class. She wondered if any of them would come... considering she'd only just got back..
Read below to see why we're wearing witch's hat. But, if you'd like your own..

"I would think these hats would keep the sun out of your eyes, your head warm, and would also be an excellent place to hide things. Since these hats are so tall you could clearly place some goodies up there. The thought of a snack, or maybe a toy of some sort would fit nicely. Or if you were trying to hide something from others, this would be the perfect place." Sini smiled thinking of little witches hiding things inside their hat.

Christian shrugged and then raised his hand. He kept a weary eye on Kingston in case of any sudden movements. "Perhaps," he started keeping a close eye on Kingston, "You could use the pointy part of the hat to poke people who annoy you. It is practical. It really comes in handy. Though avoiding the eyes may be a good idea." He added smiling, poking Lindsey with his hat.

Lindsey watched Christian for a moment as he hid his hat as he walked up to Kingston. No matter if he forced it on his head, he'd take it off... unless. She couldn't help but laugh as he did just that, forcing it on his head before he came to take a seat. She met Kiki's eyes for a brief moment, but barely held it at all. It was one of his rude days, but he did rather look adorable with that hat on his head. She chuckled, then turned to face the teacher again. If Kingston would rather be mean, then he could very well expect her to be nice to him another day.
"Perhaps they were used to pick out the witches. I mean, to embarass certain women by putting such obvious and stand out hats on their hands to make it clear they weren't a part of the usual community," she shrugged slightly once she had raised her hand.
She giggled at Christian's poke. "Or that, it's rather effective," she added with a laugh. But, if he poked her, he'd get pocked back... or smacked, same thing. Everyone knew that already. "Although, if people poked a lot of other people, perhaps they'd get bruises, like this," she began innocently before she wacked Christian's shins. She had hit hard enough to bruise, just playful enough to get her point across.

"What have you done?!" He growled, having the urge to jump at the boy and hit him. Though he must keep his cool down. Yes.

Tag shifted the cone top on his head. The thing was too small to fit properly over all his curls, and it bobbed from side to side. He tucked his lanky legs underneath him, feeling a little like a preschooler during story hour. He was quite tempted to grab Christian and Lindsey's hands and start singing 'Itsy-Bitsy Spider'.
He raised his hand. "It's a great conductor of electricity," Tag added. "The pointy top attracts lightning!"

"Hmmm.." Laylee thought of what she would hide under her hat, if needed to be hiden. "My journal.... or Cleo, my pygmy puff." Laylee said the last part on accident. She heard a quiet squeal from her bag, knowing that it was Cleo, hyper at the metion of her name. Laylee wasnt quite sure if Cleo was aloud to come to class with her...

Sini smiled glad to know she had thought of the right responce. It seemed practical to store things under a hat of such great size. "You could hide your school notes, food, things that you don't want to be confenscarted maybe. Anything from a Joke Shop could fit under there and probably get through undetected." Finally aware of the question, Kiara's hand shot up, trying not to chuckle at the others' answers to the new question. 'Any sort of thing I believe if one knows how to use reductive spells' She answered. 'I believe muggles have some kind of trick where they take a bunny out of a hat, right? Though it's not one of these I think' She added, thoughtfully staring at one of the hats.

Camira beamed at the teacher's compliment. She was starting to feel more confident. "Well, if you had an important assignment to complete, you could use a shrinking charm on the items and thus be able to fit things such as a wand, certain necessary potions, and perhaps even a reference book all in the hat so as to look inconspicuous, though I think that the fact that you're wearing the hat would make you stand out."

"Chocolate! Lots and lots of them as my mum does not let me eat chocolate. Says it'll ruin my physique. And I had a friend who hid a pygmypuff under his hat because his mother did not allow any creatures at home. He even slept with his hat. Poor pygmypuff.."
