| | |  Divination Lesson Trois (that's 3 in case you didn't know *snorts*)
Professor Blaylock stood at the front of the class, nervously biting her thumbnail as she waited for the students to show up. The last time she taught this topic, she'd been all cool and smiles, but this time...she was prepared.
But once again, the cozy, circular classroom was gone. In the place of all the low tables and beanbags were long tables resembling muggle laboratory tables. On the front desk was a collection of jars...each holding a dark, solid substance.
The trap door was open beside the front desk, and Natasha waited and watched it. He hadn't shown up for the past few classes and she suspected that he'd dropped this lesson...but still, she watched for the curly, dark haired Ravenclaw.

Natasha looked up to see Armand enter the classroom and sent him a smile and a shrug. Maybe having him around was a good thing...he'd be a good shield from flying livers.
Turning back to the class she hopped off her perch on the desk, "Right, I'm just joking about Fabian. Fex is still safe, no doubt making a complete mess in the staff room." She sighed, "Regardless, let's get on with the theories...We're going to be looking into Hepatomancy."
"2 points to who can tell me what that is."

All he did was repeatedly blink at the red head.
Was she serious?
Gulping, his eyes scanned the class room, hoping he wouldn't be the only one that would feel utterly disgusted by this. He didn't want to be the one who'd end up running out of the class and heading straight to the bathroom.
It was the smell. That's what killed him.
He could hold it in. Yes. He was a Wendleworth. That didn't sound very appealing to be honest. Frowning, at his thoughts, he looked down at his desk.
Just... Just look down Kingston. Do not look up and do not take a deep breath.
That seemed such a stupid idea. It didn't take him very long until the sickness that he would get once smelling things such as that came to him. Oh boy. Putting his arms on the table, Kingston rested his head on them and closed his eyes.
Only a few minutes and he'll feel good.

It was a good seat, the one she was in. Of course, she had the overly excited Slytherin on one side which made Bucky worry. Hopefully he was wearing an adult diaper because he seemed about ready to have a wittle accident in his wittle twousers.
Baldy was eerily silent on her other side which was just fine. Maybe he had loads of thoughts fluttering in his mind obstructing his visio--thoughts.
But from her position she could see all the students turning from yellow to green to white. It was a rainbow! And Bucky thought of that old coke muggle commercial.
I'd like to buy the world a coke and keep it company...
"Those two don't seem to want to keep each other company," she muttered frowning at some bickering going on ahead.

The Slytherins were on a roll today...she was quite surprised to find that her class was mostly made up of Slytherins this term. Usually it was the Ravenclaws and Gryffindors who took up residence in her tower.
She looked over at Armand and the mints. She nodded once to show her assent. "For those of you who feel that your stomachs wont be able to stand this lesson...please take one of the peppermint leaves from Professor Erikson."
"Now...why are we going to be focusing on the liver? And why have an entire method of divination based on the liver? That's simple, really...in ancient times, they believed that the liver was the source of blood." She pointed at her body, roughly where she thought the liver was. She had always been rubbish at this though, so she was in fact pointing at her ovaries. "And since they thought this was where blood came from...they also concluded that this was the base of life itself!" | |

The smell was starting to get to him a bit. Just in case, Slughorn got up and took some mint leaves. "Thank you, Professor Erikson." He said smiling gratefully at the Herbology Professor. It was Erikson and his mint who had saved him once before from a potentially nasty upchucking a time or two before and he'd never forget.
He made his way back to the back of the room standing behind Keller and next to Bucky.

She grimaced, "That's only cos the jars are still covered." Reluctantly, she let go of his hand and made her way back to the front, "Alright...and now we're approaching the practical portion of the lesson."
The mint leaves seemed to disappear as she quickly put them in her mouth, "You'll have to slice the liver into sections, with each section representing a particular deity, and study the sections to determine if everything is in order," She shuddered, "Or if there are any anomalies in the liver."
Holding one jar up, she forced herself to look at the contents, "And based on the anomalies or lack of, you interpret what this could mean."
"Now, come on up to the front and take a jar. One liver to two people, I'd like you to work together on this."
