Divination Lesson Trois (that's 3 in case you didn't know *snorts*) Professor Blaylock stood at the front of the class, nervously biting her thumbnail as she waited for the students to show up. The last time she taught this topic, she'd been all cool and smiles, but this time...she was prepared. But once again, the cozy, circular classroom was gone. In the place of all the low tables and beanbags were long tables resembling muggle laboratory tables. On the front desk was a collection of jars...each holding a dark, solid substance. The trap door was open beside the front desk, and Natasha waited and watched it. He hadn't shown up for the past few classes and she suspected that he'd dropped this lesson...but still, she watched for the curly, dark haired Ravenclaw. OOC: lol, come on in...we'll start soon as we get enough students! |
Cassandra walked in and took her usual seat at the front of the class. "Morning Professor Blaylock." She said to her... what was that odor... something smelled funny. |
Jai climbed up into class taking a seat in the front row. She never understood Divination but she always liked it. "Good morning Professor." she said looking at the stange jars. |
Celestina had determinedly made her way through the seven floors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She had even gone through the peril of climbing the rickety ladder (which Blaylock should really get rid of. It wasn't very safe!) to reach the classroom. Her arm instinctively went up to push the trap door open but went clean through. Hanging perilously from the opening, arms, shoulders and head only visible to the habitants, Bucky's green eyes focused on Professor Blaylock's own. "You know Blay Blay," she began in a chastizing tone, forgetting the age different momentarily. "You should really get a lift or something." |
Jai giggled at Buckys comment and nodded in agreement. He really should she siad flipping her hair. |
Natasha turned at the familiar voice and snorted at the sight that greeted her. She walked over and grabbed the girl's wrists to help her up, "And you should really be used to climbing these steps by now." |
Xana entered the Divination classroom. "Good moning, Professor. How are you today?" She took a place by one of the tables. |
Her legs fumbled underneath her but with Blaylock's help she managed to make it up without major exposure of her underpants. "Thanks," she added with a flush and dusted off her skirt as gracefully as she could for someone who lacked proper lady like manners. "No offense Professor but look at my legs!" She exclaimed sticking out one scrawny lower limb. "Do these look athletic to you?" |
Laughing, Natasha shook her head, "Considering your significant other is Quidditch Captain, that's quite a shame, Bucky." She walked back to her desk, "Morning, Xana, I'm good, thank you. A little nervous, you'll find out why soon enough...but overall, I'm good." |
It had taken all of Keller's will to get himself out of his bed this morning, all he had wanted to do was lay there and relax. But, he knew he had to go to class. If he didn't go home for the holiday with good marks, his father would not be happy. He walked into the classroom, and the butterflies in his stomach (as well as his eyes) let him know Cassandra was in the classroom also. He had not seen her since the other evening, she had seemed upset. Keller, being the boy he was, took the seat in the front next to Cassandra. He smirked at the Professor, and then turned grinning towards to Cassandra. "Good morning." he said in an overly cheery tone. |
'It's Divination time, baby! Divintion time!' This was Slughorn's favourite class. Not even vomit from Cassandra could ruin it for him. He lifted his hefty body up through the trap door and greeted the teacher. "Professor Blaylock." He gave the roundly red-headed Divinations instructor a friendly nod, and flopped down into an empty bean seat. |
Rapunzel popped up through the trapdoor and looked around the classroom before climbing out. “Good morning, Professor,” she smiled and nodded. “Class looks….er…interesting today,” Rapunzel added with a raised eyebrow, looking in the direction of the glass jars. She noticed Claudian had entered, and decided to take a seat next to him. “Hullo Mr. Slughorn,” Rapunzel winked at him. “Long time no see, eh?” |

Celestina put her leg back down, her fists now on her hips. Just because her boyfriend chose to smack a bludger around as a hobby did not mean she had to pick up a muscle building hobby of her own. "I'm an artist," she replied simply. "I don't need muscles." Frowning down at the jars she picked one up and tapped it with her index finger repeatedly. It was hideous, whatever it was. And she pressed one eye against the glass before holding it out before her with a disgusted look. "What. Is. This?" She asked with dramatic pauses and shook the jar. |
Jai smiled at Claudin who seemed to be in his element in this class. She sighed and peered at the jar wondering what was in it. |
Smiling at the bear-like Slytherin, Natasha wondered what had him so jovial today. Could it be he had finally managed to get Cassandra's attention? Well, no, he'd always had that...a better word would be...her regard. Nah, he was probably on a sugar high. Kids liked sugar, it was understandable. "Mr. Slughorn, welcome to class, good to see you're excited for today's lesson." Over-excited...hopefully he would keep all the excitement inside when they got to what was in the jars. |
Ellie walked into the room and took a seat with a sigh. She looked at the teacher with a half-smile wishing the class could begin as soon as possible. She was there to take her mind away from everything else. "Go to Divination class just to forget things, you really don't exist Ellie Bluebell." |

Pocketing the jar before Blaylock would see her thinking Tag would enjoy a look, she took a seat next to a lonely looking Slytherin girl she had never seen before. Usually, she'd sit next to Cassandra but she was making eyes at Baldy again. Bucky gagged. "Are you new?" Bucky asked, placing her folded arms on the tabletop. "You look new. You must be new. A new student I mean not new as in shiny new cause...that's just ridiculous!" Bucky forced a laugh. Getting no reaction, she cleared her throat and stretched out her jaw, glancing back at Blaylock. Awkward! |

"Of course, Professor Blaylock! You know how I adore your classes." He remarked calmly, realizing he must've looked quite foolish in his excitement, he toned it down a notch superficially, though on the inside he was staring in a one-man revival of Carousel. |
Emily wandered into the classroom and took a seat next to Ellie. She mouthed "Hi" to the girl and glanced around the room, spotting, 'oh no', Claudian Slughorn. She gave the boy a weak smile as her stomach churned with guilt again at the sight of him. |
Grinning at the students, feeling a bit calmer cos Tag hadn't shown up, Natasha looked up at the clock and decided that the time was ripe to begin this lesson. And actually end it this time. "Alright, before we begin I have one question for all of you...Did you eat before coming for this class?" OOC: No more posting that you just walked in. You will be penalized. |
"No, didnt have time professor" she said shortly and kindly from her sit. She wondered why did she have asked that. |
Did we eat? Keller rolled his eyes slightly. What kind of question was that? I got out of bed for this. He nodded his head slightly in positive response. |
“No” Emily answered as her stomach gave out a rather loud growl. |
