Frankie was in her mischeiveous mood... she stood over the girl on the sofa, changed her eyes to cats eyes, and hissed "Boo" in the girls ear.

Taika Ai entered the common room, dragging her feet. She was so tired. The past week had been tiring with classes and Quidditch try-outs and she hadn't been sleeping well.

She yawned, walking towards the window seat and plopping down. She pulled her bag into her lap and curled up, closing her eyes. She pondered for a moment where Ryan or Shel or Bucky could be. She hadn't seen anyone -- except Ryan-- since the feast. She's only even seen Ryan for Quidditch try-outs which had been harder than she'd expected, especially since she hadn't gotten the chance to practise flying with Ryan ahead of time.

She sighed, drifting off to sleep.

Kat entered through the portrait hole after a full day and proceed to fall into a chair with a sigh. Her cat Sherlock following and rubbing against her bag which she dropped on the floor next to her.

Having finished her D.A.D.A. homework and turned it in, and still having to start her homework for Herbology, Zelot mianders into the common room and finds her self a cosy chair to fall into. She looks around the room and sees other fellow Gryffindor's already in the common room relaxing. With out warning, Mercury jumped on her lap mewing madly. "Well what's got your fur into a bunch?" Zelot asked her cat. Mercury started to paw at her hand and Zelot knew right way what he wanted. She started to scratch behind his ears and slowly moved over the top of his head to the front of his face right above his eyes. She scratched there for a while till Mercury fell a sleep. Zelot then looked around the room again and smiled.

She entered the common room, one hand tangled in her long bright red hair. A sigh escaped her lips as she kicked aside a pillow someone obviously had misplaced. It was only after inspecting the dirt underneath her nails that she spotted a familiar sleepy head. Smiling to herself, Celestina Warbuck tip toed in the younger Gryffindor's direction until she was standing just behind her immobile figure.

Taking a deep breath, Bucky leaned in towards Taika Ai's ear and blew a raspberry.

Taika Ai jerked awake, squeaking in surprise. She turned to the sound that had awoken her and nearly fell over in her glee.

"BUCKY!" she shouted, throwing her arms around the girl. "I haven't seen you since last term. How've you been? How was your holiday? What have you been doing?" she asked in one breath, sitting up and patting the space next to her. "I've missed you so much! I feels like forever since I last saw you. And you were supposed to introduce me to some of your friends-- oh, and guess what! I've been moved up to fifth year! I finally get to at least look like I'm in the right year. I couldn't go any higher, but that's fine with me. So, now I'm a fifth year now!" she exclaimed in excitement.

Whende jumped, smacking the top of her head against Patrick's chin. She'd practically been falling asleep, still trying to remember the significance of Button Ice-cream, up until the point that yelling became popular. She blinked, staring at Bucky and that other girl, not understanding what was going on in the slightest. "Daddy, they're loud," she muttered, squeezing herself against Patrick and wrinkling up her nose.

Tabitha dragged her feet as she walked down the stairs into the common room that lay below. She had had a long day and was not looking forward to the homework she had left to do. In her arms she carried her transfiguration books as well as a fresh sheet of parchment, a quill, a jar of ink and an Acid Pop. Tabitha saw that her usual chair by the fire place was empty and promptly sat down and lay her school books on the table next to her. Her cat, Liquorice, jumped onto her lap and licked her face. "Not now darling, I am trying to work," Tabitha told the feline as she looked through her Transfiguration notes.

"Vowel? Why would you want another vowel?" Patrick asked completely bewildered. Surely there were enough vowels as it was, what with a, e, i, o, u and sometimes y being in the picture.

"Oww," Patrick said disgruntled, rubbing his chin he shifted slightly because his chest had gone numb. "Whennnnn, you're heavy," he whined trying to move. While trying to dislodge Whende he looked around at the disturbance.

"Not a letter vowel," she said. When made a face. A thoughtful face. A describe buying a vowel face. "A vowelly vowel hint." That, however, was not very descriptive. "You know... A cluuuuuuue."

"Silly," she said, burying her forhead in his chest. "I'm not heavy. When is a light little feather." She pulled back to let him reposition himself. "Silly, Daddy," she muttered.

"Ah, clue, right, erm, Florean's two years ago," Trick volunteered. He began massaging his chest where circulation had been diverted and moving about to get more comfy. "Nuh-uhhh, Daddy says you is heavy so heavy you be. So says Daddy!" Patrick said pedantly.

"Errrrrrrr..." This was making her brain dizzy. "What kind of ice-cream was it before it was Button Ice-Cream?" Whende asked. She feigned an appalled gasp. "Daddy is so meaaan." She poked his stomach. "Calling me heavy with all his... mean-ness." She wrinkled up her nose and forced herself to look in the opposite direction. "Mean," When repeated.

Zelot sat back in the chair futher and rested her head on the back of the chair. She was starting to feel a bit sleepy and started to doze off.

"I dropped a button in your ice-cream," Patrick said sulkily. "Peanut-butter marshmallow," he added in answer to her question still sulking. "Daddy says you are forgetful and heavy," Patrick said in a saint-like voice.

"Oh YES!" Whende said. She nodded and forgot that she was shunning him. "Whendalee says you are... silly... and mean." She brushed her finger against the tip of his nose. "I can forget mostly for a bit. And then remember again. And then it doesn't count anymore." She paused for a moment. "Oh, right." She frowned and turned away again.

Nose toucher! Patrick thought sulkily. He tried to look offended and failed. He wanted to do it again but her face was somewhere in the wrong direction. "Daddy says he will forgive you if you give him another thimble," he said hopefully drawing reference to their event last year which involved Peter Pan.

"A thimble?" Whende said thoughtfully. She knew exactly what he meant. But she wriggled around in her seat and her fingers gave an involuntary twitch against his asparagus. "You really want a thimble?" Her mouth was dry. She tried to fix that. It wasn't working out very well.

Zelot lifted her head from the back of the chair. She noticed that there were lots of other Gryffindor's in the room. She noticed another first year and saw she was in a fairly playfull mood. Zelot smiled at her antics.

A small brown haired girl wonders down form the girl common room. She looks a little tired but has glee of happiness in her eyes.Cindy sits down in a chair near the fire.

Patrick nodded suddenly feeling incredibly shy. He blushed and hid his face in his long hair. He jerked slightly as her fingers drummed against his tickle spot.

She took a peek back at him from the corner of his eye to catch his response. When glanced up. If he wanted a thimble, she would have move. Trick was too high. She frowned slightly and reached up to brush his hair aside. "Daddy is too tall," she said. "Much too tall for my not-so-tallness."

"No, Daddy isn't too tall, Whende is too short," Patrick said nodding but his voice seemed to have lost it's playful colouring and was shifting back to a nervous English accent. Not even Scottish. Just plain English.

"Five foot four is a good..." Her voice trailed off before she'd even had the chance to stick her tongue out at him. "Are you ok?" She lifted her free hand up and pressed it against his forhead. "Are you running a fever?" She couldn't tell. She'd never been any good at that. Bucky needed to come and be grown up again.

"No," he mumbled. "...not sick...," he continued almost inaudibly. He started playing with his facial muscles, twisting them into odd expressions as he postponed the moment when he'd have to do something.

She let her hand drop into her lap. "Oh... Not sick?" Any trace of a smile that might have been left was completely gone by that point. She slid her other arm around his waist and gave him a hug. "Daddy doesn't want a thimble?" she said lamely.
