The gates to Hogwarts are kept locked except when accepting visitors or on Hogsmeade weekends.

Professor Branxton used his key to unlock the gates. As soon as he relocked the gates from the other side and free of the anti-apparition charm of the school he apparates to the Ministry.

Professor Branxton arrives back from the Ministry and enters the grounds.

The Hogwarts' gates open for the weekend to allow its students to travel too and from Hogsmeade as they please.

Qaz was torn. Her father hated what she was. Hdr mother tought it was best to send her to school outside of the US. Her Potions Professor hated her. She thoughtr she'd do well at Herbology, she had a vegetable garden after all. She didn't fit in back home, and she knew she was an outcast here. If she was better at Potions, she would know an easy way out. As it was, she'd just have to put up with it all. At least she had her cat....

Ali saw that the gate was open and that she now had acces to Hogsmeade. She had expected to see other people heading towards Hogsmeade. "Maybe the others have already gone through." She walked closer to the gate and walked through it by herself. "Hogsmeade, here i come."

Damien walked up through the gate and looked up at Hogwarts. Not bad, he walked through and headed towards the school.

Jamie wasn't really sure if he wanted to go to Hogsmeade. Usually he went with Bucky or Tag, both of whom he was sure would probably wind up going together, as that was what happened when best friends sneakily hooked up behind their best friend's back.

Not that the boy had any animosities, no.

So he paced by the gates, watching friends and groups of friends pass by eagerly on their way to the little village where they were sure to stock up on sweets and school supplies and get into general mischeif and to be honest, Jamie wasn't sure he could handle that all on his own.

So, with a sigh, he lowered himself to the ground to cotinue to further contemplate his decision, where he wound up eating a chocolate frog instead.

A girl with green skin slouched out of the castle, dragging a large bag behind her. It was obvious that the bag was heavy; Erin's face showed major discomfort as she pulled the bag along with her. "Ufgh!" Erin grunted every time she pulled the bag a bit further. She was heading down the path to the gates that would lead her to Hogsmeade. Erin had been sitting in her common room when she suddenly got the urge to buy new quills.

Still dragging the bag, Erin reached the gates. She was making very little progess, as she was getting more and more tired every inch the bag moved. Finally Erin passed the gates, and looking ahead of her, she sighed. She still had quite a way to travel. Erin decided that it was time for a break. She plopped down on the grass beside the path; her bag was now sitting beside her.

Erin was breathing rather quickly. She hated physical activity of any sort. Erin looked around. Students were loudly filing through the gate, obviously excited about going to Hogsmeade. Erin sighed. She needed more friends.The green-skinned girl continued to look at her surroundings. She spotted a mess of curls on the other side of the gate. "CURLY!" Erin squealed, beaming. She got on her hands and knees and crawled over to Jamie. She still had an eager grin on her face.

Erin was so excited about seeing the curly-haired boy that she didn't even realize that she'd forgotten her bag on the other side of the gate. Still on all fours, Erin smiled up at Jamie. She looked somewhat like a puppy dog.

From where he sat, Jamie could sit and watch the Gryffindor girl puff along with her bag. And he did. He had to admit, deep down he was quite amused by the scene she was putting up. Huffing and puffing and dragging what seemed to be an extremely heavy bag. Curiously, he pondered why one would even haul around a bag they couldn't carry. It seemed a bit absurd, but he was used to girl's who carried around oversized purses and seemed to have their whole life within them.

He smiled in recognition (and amusement; we won't lie) as the girl crawled over towards him. (Was she exhausted? About to faint? Die? He didn't know healing spells!). She seemed to be okay though, judging by the enthusiasm seeping in her cry of "Curly!" and he noted that she appeared quite... puppy-like.

Before replying, Jamie through quickly to their first actual meeting. There were numerous other moments that didn't really count, such as when she randomly tugged his curl and ran off. She was.... well. He didn't truly know her actual name, but did know her to be "Suzie" which she admitted wasn't her name, but merely what she told him to call her. (She was kind of confusing).

What he really found oddest though... was that she was green.

"Uhm. Hi there.... Suzie who isn't really Suzie but told me to call her that. Any reason you're... you know. Green today?"

It was kind of a startling sight, to be honest.

Erin tilted her head to the side, smiling at the boy. He appeared to remember her, which pleased Erin. She liked to think of herself as a memorable person.

Suzie. Erin grinned as she was called this. Sometimes she got bored of her name, so Suzie was a nice change. Erin decided, once again, not to share her real name with Curly. She didn't think it was necessary at all.

Suzie looked down at her green skin, then looked back up at Jamie. Grinning, she pushed herself off all fours and plopped her butt on the grass.

Erin was now facing Jamie's lovely, tuggable curls. They tempted Erin so much that she moved her gaze at his shoe instead of his face while responding. "A jerkface named Hayden did it," Erin explained, holding up one green arm. "Because I turned his hair hot pink." Erin giggled loudly.

"So... as a result... you're green, huh?"

He was amused by this... Suzie-Who-Was-Not-Really-Called-Suzie. This green girl sitting in front of him. He had the crazy urge to take a photo or something, so he'd always remember the green girl. He wasn't sure if he had such obligations. He wasn't sure if he could even refer to her as his friend.

"So, I suppose I should make a mental note to avoid this jerkface, hmm?" he asked, smiling. Hayden. Wasn't he a Ravenclaw? He was pretty sure he had a vague idea of who this boy was.

"Why did you die his hair pink, anyway?" Jamie asked, a hand reaching for his curls. Please, Merlin, let Suzie-Whoever-She-Really-Is not dye my hair.

"It really wasn't fair," Erin explained, nodding. "I didn't get to defend myself properly. You see, he pretended that he liked his pink hair, but right when I turned around, BAM!" Erin practically screamed the last word.

"But I've decided that I like my green skin," she declared. "It makes me unique." Okay, so Erin was unique enough without having green skin. But she didn't know that.

"Well..." Erin paused, a thoughtful look on her face. "He might actually like you. He just doesn't like me because I pulled him out from behind a curtain once." She said this like it made perfect sense.

"Oh, I just don't like him," Erin said, nodding. She giggled again. "One time, we played hide and go seek together in the castle, and he tried to cheat his way out of being It." Erin shook her head, now looking disgusted.

Erin glanced up so she was no longer staring at Curly's shoe. He had a hand on his amazing curls. Erin started reaching for one, feeling the urge for a light tug. Her hand was halfway to his head before it stopped. "May I?" Erin asked, smiling with puppy dog eyes. She REALLY wanted to pull.

Her first week at Hogwarts had been pretty boring if you asked her. Nothing much had happened. But that could be because nobody had actually spoken to her except two of the teachers and a first year boy called Nicolas, who had been such a sweetheart to her on her first day here. A little too enthusiastic and excited if you asked her, but yet. She liked him.

Now Estelle walked towards Hogsmade, a completely magical village...something along those lines. Her sister, Ella, had told her a lot about this place. She had attended Hogwarts till her fifth year before they moved to France.

It was kind of hard to notice among all the green surroundings, but soon, she found herself looking at a girl with green skin. She blinked a couple of times as she looked at her, half amused and half guilty that she found such a thing amusing. Estelle turned around and continued walking towards the village, the 'Green Skinned Girl' will always remain in her memory.

Nicolas walked towards the village of Hogsmade. Having finally decided to visit the place today. His homework had kept him confided in the castle for about one entire day and he was off after working so hard and finishing his work.

As he walked towards the gate, Nicolas was sure he saw Estelle walk around and disappear as she walked towards the village. Nicolas would have shouted out to her, but the reason he didn't do so was because he had half his chocolate frog in his mouth while the other half was in his hand. He'll catch up with her later.

As he gulped the chocolate in his mouth, his eyes fell on Jamie and Erin. Erin looked like she was going to pull Jamie's curl. He laughed and then waved at them. Should he go? Or shouldn't he? Stuffing the rest of his chocolate frog in his mouth, he walked over to them. "Hai Jamie! Hai Erin!" He said after he had gulped the rest of his chocolate frog. "Not going to Hogsmade?"

The carriage arrived at the castle gates and Cassandra stepped out onto the grass inside the school gates. She hadn't even noticed anyone on the carriage with her, let alone talked to them. She held her arms together as if she were shivvering for the cold, but there was a warm breeze. She walked absentmidedly to the great hall and down to the dungeons.

Alex ran up to the gates just in time to see Cassandra walk into the school. Out of breathe he walked after her holding his side.

Jai walked out to the gate she was hoping she could get out and get chocolate for the night. She ran and slipped through the gate and into a carrige.

She ran her fingers through the short hair of her kitten and looked around, she seemed to be the only person out here. Pulling her jacket closer she covered Jack and herself she made her way to Hogsmeade.

Jackie ran up to the gate excitedly, she'd ran all the way across the grounds from Professor Maline's area, so she stopped and waited for Ryan to catch up.

Ryan caught up with her friend, shaking back her hair until it was blonde and wavy. She clambered into a carriage and motioned for Jackie to do the same.

Jackie climbed into a carriage with Ryan and started singing.
"We're off to Hogsmeade, oh lovely Hogsmeade, with sweeties and butterbeer and... other stuffffff," she sang to a random tune, rocking side to side.
"Oh... sorry..." she muttered, blushing slightly.

Lu pushed the gate to enter into the school's pathway. Her walk was pretty silent, except for the occasional ruffling of the bag against her coat or her intermittent heaves. She tried not to ponder over the conversation, but every time she did her hands dug deeper inside her pockets. Before knowing it she was already onto the path and walking down the grounds.

Sam walked toward the Gate. She stopped a few feet away from it and looked around for Savannah.
The day was great. The sun was out and shinning and not a cloud in sight.
She smiled at what fun that layed ahead.

Diabolica sat down by the Gate. As Viper slithered out of her bag, she stared out at the Grounds. All of the confusion with the Muggles--which might have been Squibs or Dark Wizards--Pierre, and Headmistress Rae's children had made her want to do something even more. She sighed.
