In front of the front desk counter there are long oak tables, like the ones in the Great Hall, that span the length of the library. However, these are surrounded by bookcases laden with texts. Some students begin sitting down on the bench and taking out their homework ready to get started on their work. Others obtain large reference texts before settling down in their spots. Others have formed small study groups and begin conversing in a soft whisper about their newest assignment.

Jolie stepped into the library, her book bag slung over her right shoulder - weighted down with several school textbooks. Her blonde hair was tied back into a ponytail with a lavender colored ribbon and she seemed to struggle slightly under the weight of the books.
Finally reaching the library study tables Jolie slid her bag onto the table and slipped into a chair. She coughed and rummaged around for some parchment and ink.

Erin wandered into the library, carrying nothing. She just wanted to pick out a book for some extra reading. Before reaching the bookshelves, though, Erin spotted Jolie, whom she hadn't spoken to for quite some time.
"Jolie!" Erin squealed, scampering over. She had forgotten that her skin was still green, but that didn't mean other people wouldn't notice it. Erin had gotten in a bit of a disagreement that ended with some hexes about a week previously. She still hadn't bothered finding a way to turn her skin back to its original color, but that didn't bother Erin; she thought green skin made her more unique.
Erin plopped herself into a chair beside Jolie, grinning. "What's up, bud?" she asked. | |

Jolie's hand had just curled around a spare piece of parchment when she heard a familiar bouncy outgoing voice. Smiling she turned her head upwards but the sight that met her eyes made her speechless. There was just no other words.

Jolie grinned, "I should hope so. I've been working really hard.." She said, biting her lip again. Jolie glanced carefully at her notes - making small corrections here and there when Erin touched upon a subject that Jolie had been hoping to avoid.
Her expression hardened slightly and she simply shook her head, keeping her head bent down so her friend wouldn't have to see her facial expression.

I mean - he didn't even leave one little letter for me." She said, obviously distressed. "Half the time I worry sick about him and the other half of the time I keep telling myself why should I waste time worrying when he obviously didn't care enough to say exactly what he was doing or where he was going." Jolie said quietly, her grey and green eyes focused squarely on the hard oak wood the table.

Erin nodded. Homework was such a pain.
Jolie began to talk, and the pain Erin heard in her friend's voice made her feel slightly uncomfortable and very sorry. It was painful for Erin to hear Jolie talk about Silos' absence; Silos had been one of her very best friends.
Erin scooted to the edge of her chair so she was closer to her friend. She slung a comforting arm around Jolie and patted her shoulder lightly. "Jolie," Erin started, swallowing. "He cared about you. I know he did." She squeezed Jolie's shoulder as she tried to manage a smile. "Silos was... is one of my best friends. He talked about you all the time." Erin didn't try to reassure Jolie that Silos was fine. That was something that Erin couldn't promise. She didn't know where he was, and she didn't know if he was okay. | |

Nicolas stepped into the Library. Homework and homework was all he had been doing for the entire day. It was his fault he had left it pending for too long. But he had always thought homework was evil.
He dumped his stuff next to two people. Girls they looked like and it didn't take him long to recognise one of them as his own step sister whom he hadn't spoken to for such a long time. "Jolie!" He said as he smiled at her and the other girl. "Oh. Hello!" He said as he grinned at the other girl.

Nicolas grinned again and extended his hand. "I am Nicolas. Jolie's step brother." He told her and that is when he noticed she had green skin. A little unusual, really. "Where have you been? I've been worried sick!" Jolie scolded him, ruffling his hair. She smiled at Erin, "Sorry - we just didn't talk much about my family." Jolie said with a small shrug.
